I’m off, I’ve deleted it, and now I’m bracing for the rest of the hackers trying to hack into my device and use my identity to create fake social media accounts. Pray for me and my family!

The dating app business is a great one. These companies are never short of profits. SALT was new for me, and I decided to give it a shot, even paying $50+ for “premium” features (which had no different of an effect than did the free version I was using).
The user experience and user interface is definitely the worst of all the apps I’ve ever used in the last 10 years. It feels like this app was built in 2008 and never updated. Using it was just an awful experience-let alone the fact that there wasn’t a single conversation that took place that led to anything. That’s a bit more subjective, though. Nonetheless, my friend had the same experience, so take it how you want to.
The worst part is how I ended off. I deleted my account, and they still decided to charge me. They said “I didn’t cancel” and whether I did or not I cannot recall… but please, let’s use common sense. If I deleted my account, how do you expect me to now go into my account to cancel it? Sounds to me like a bunch of amateur developers and careless leadership that is most interested in making their pockets fat. Now, who am I to judge motives… but their email response which completely lacked any empathy and demanded from me “proof” which I obviously cannot produce tells me everything I need to know. I’d be shocked to learn anyone behind this app is truly Christian.
Look elsewhere, as I’ve encouraged others to do. Skip SALT. Try Ark-they seem to be the least scammy and scummy in this dating app market.

Cringe and Bad
This app is both cringe and bad. The messages when profiles are loading just really cringe me out. And the fact that you can only see 20ish ppl per day is utterly ridiculous. And you can barely see who liked you. This is just disgusting. I don’t know, be like Holy man- at this point it really has to be the most genuine Christian app out there. I’d rather use it than spend $20 to see who liked me! Smh.
Could not unsubscribe from the Premium service
App works decently enough. I’ll give it that. However, I was unable to unsubscribe from the Premium service, though, so I have to give it a 1 star.
They say to go to your subscriptions and cancel it there, but it doesn’t show in my subscriptions. This is for when you subscribe through your iPhone.
Alternatively, you can unsubscribe through Stipe’s portal using your email address if you signed up via a different method. That also didn’t work.
I was unable to find a way to contact them directly.

terrible at saving profile info progress
just spent over half an hour setting up profile details and advancing from screen to screen only to find it all lost after I got pulled out of the app, apparently because it doesn’t save until you get to the end of all of the questions / screens.
Just terrible design.
It should be saving each screen as you go - save & continue.

No political indicators
If politics is important to you, you can have that as one of your “ interests,” but it won’t let you designate whether you’re conservative, liberal, moderate, etc.

This is most likely the worst dating app. You literally can’t see anything unless you pay for it.

Pretty bad interface for onboarding and you can't even select age or country without paying... Seems like a basic feature with so minimal users... 1 star

Not good
I keep getting notifications every 5 minutes saying someone liked me, but when I open the app, there are no updates. This is only my second day using it, and I still can’t figure out where to scroll or see people I might actually want to date. It’s all very confusing! The only thing I like are the little quotes that pop up when you open the app - those are cute. But overall, it feels more like a forum than a dating app, and honestly… I’m deleting it right now
TERRIBLE
Terrible, terrible, terrible experience. The app was constantly saying for me that I've achieved the maximum quantity of seeing people for the day (which was ridiculous, cause I could barely see lots of people) and even though that I just adjusted the preferences, never changed this. The sound system, when I was trying to listen to other people's voices in their profile, the majority of times, never worked. It just worked once and never more. It was a terrible experience. Poor, I felt invisible. And even though that I paid just for one week to give it a try, never changed it. I would never recommend this app for anybody.

I have two decent pictures, basic info about myself. What else do they want?
Premium
You have to pay to see your matches. I understand the reason for this (to try to make people not just match with others for fun), but I don’t believe it actually works. Because how am I supposed to match with someone, when all of my matches are blurred and I can’t even choose to match with them.

Has lost its flavor
SALT is not for people over 60.

HORRIBLE
This app has to be a joke. No way it has such great review those have to be fake. You can set ZERO perimeters unless you want to pay $37.99 month. Just know your feed will be diabolical. Men old enough to be my father and since you can’t set location preferences halfway across the country or WORLD. You can only see like 1/30 of your likes..again unless you PAY. Like this is worse than hinge mo wya anyone is meeting none their age or that actually lives near them. Don’t even bother getting this app.
Privacy invasion 101
When you first sign up it asks you to agree to the SALT values, but it pushes you to a webpage to do that. That could easily be done inside the app; the only reason to push you to a webpage is because a webpage can gather a whole lot more information about you and your device than just the app by itself. That’s the only reason to pull something like that. OK, so go on from there, it asks you to fill in a few more questions, and then it requires you to take a “verification selfie“. So now they want your image, and since most people don’t turn GPS off for their camera, they’re likely getting your GPS location also. That’s where I stopped, but I saw in some of the reviews that the doesn’t happen in the app, people wait for a verification email; once again, there will be a link in that email, that will go to a webpage, that will go to the app, and they get to scrape all kinds of data of yours on the way. All of that could be done inside the app if they weren’t looking to monetize your data and privacy. Not very Christian, folks.
Waste of time
Got to the last profile question and there was an error message that wouldn’t let me proceed. It felt like a waste of time. Smh

Why pay for something you can’t even use? And I’m not interested in matching with someone from another country.
Dissapointing
You have to pay for premium just so you can filter out people the same age as your parents, and when you do you can only swipe on a few people a day… this app is a joke
No support
Clicking the support link in the App Store takes you to a website that goes round and round without ever finding a place to get help. Looking for support in the app suggests you go to a "help centre" but gives no instruction on how to find said centre. It's like they don't want you to get actual support for their app.
Needs people
All dating apps need people to work and within 70 miles of me there was only about 10 people…. The controls are a bit confusing too. I had a hard time getting back to the main page. There’s a social media aspect which is cool, but again if you don’t have people near you it’s extremely hard to date
Money grab
Wanted to like this app, suggested by my cousin and I was disappointed. I shouldn’t have to pay a subscription fee to see my likes, and the prices are absurd! At least on Hinge, I can like and message people for free! Don’t waste your time and money!
Do not use this app
The site/app taken an initial photo. When I started updating my profile the photo initially taken was not saved. BEWARE! This is a privacy and constitutional violation, no matter what their policy.
Just out for your money
I'm uninstalling this app because it seems the only way you can get anywhere is if you pay a ridiculous amount for premium. I'd rather save my money and try to meet people the old fashioned way and pray knowing God will provide. As a so called Christian based dating platform I feel you are taking advantage of people by extorting money from those that are simply trying to meet other single Christians.
Not fair for people without premium
I have had this app for two days and have gotten 9 likes. However, I can only view one person’s profile because everyone else is blurred! I’m sorry but i’m not going to pay that price for premium! Salt please let me have access to more people who have liked me! There is no reason for only 1 person out of 9 i should be able to view.
Rip Off!
I paid $14.99 to be featured for an hour and purchased a month membership. I have logged on EVERYDAY since purchasing and I am told that I have seen everyone. They show me no one! There are no eligible men in this app in my area. I want my money back. If you don’t have men, I can’t match or meet anyone. The highlight did nothing. Please refund me my money. You can’t charge for services you can’t provide.
I did hear back from a customer service rep. They told me I can request a refund through the subscription in my Apple Subscriptions. That’s not true. There is not even an option to do that. It’s just a bunch of smoke! Steer clear of this app. It’s a total rip off. Upward is a lot better.

Don’t waste your money
I paid $37 for a month and I don’t even get all of the features you still have to pay extra for things. Also there is practically no one is my area despite being in one of the most popular cities in my state. This is a waste of time and money.
Can’t even set it up
I can’t even get past the first part where you give your gps permissions. The app is just keeps sending me in an endless loop of going to my setting to turn everything on, and then restarting the app. It never works, I’ve tried 20 times. And I went to the website but there was no was to contact anyone for help. Please help! I really want to like your app!
Seriously-a charge to choose desired age range
I tried to update my desired age range because as a 50 year woman-I am not interested in a 27 year old male. But you have to pay for that?!? Absolute garbage.

I like the setup on the app however in order to enjoy anything you have to pay for premium. You can’t filter out based on location or age or anything. Just not worth it unless you pay for it.

The app is heavily influenced by lighter complexion races. Not a platform for people of color.

Account randomly deleted
Account was randomly deleted and could not be found by email address. No explanation or anything from SALT.
Good until…
I tried about three times for it to check my profile or do whatever that thing is and you know not worth the hassle.
Too many gay men
There’s surprisingly seems to be a group of gay men on this app that I think whatever their reasons are, are looking for for women for an arrangement or to marry for their own intentions instead of honoring God’s plan and commandments

Not enough people
I live in NJ & was getting matches in Europe & Canada.
God made everyone beautiful in HIS sight. This app tends to attract those who on other apps may not have luck.
Also the order of the icon functions is annoying. The center icon should take you to search matches but it takes you to some forum page.

Ohhh of course it has premium. Immediately lost interest after finding out you have to pay to see who your secret admirer is. I think I’ll stick with Facebook dating
Not enough matches
I’m very disappointed that there are so few matches. It’s quite expensive to see only 10-12 people per day. Besides that, it’s very user-friendly.
Preferences
This app still has hardly any users on it. It’s been too days and it’s still telling me there’s no one who matches my preferences. Which means it’s not showing me any profiles whatsoever.
