Poor Customer Support !
This has been my goto shop to buy groceries. Competitive pricing and good quality product. However online shopping has been a hassle with this firm. For starters you can’t choose the store location ! So by default they pick up a store that serves your area despite others being closer. Last time when I ordered online one of the items was substituted poorly after telling that to the delivery driver he assured me he will make a note and report that to the store and I will be issued a refund/credit. After a couple of days I checked in to see if the item was refunded but I didn’t see any updates so I reached out to the customer care via email. The following is a response I received from the customer care : => Good evening, We received your email about the wrong substitution for green chilies. We just want to inform you that you can return the substituted items to the driver at the time of delivery. Once the item is returned to the store, we can apply for the refund/credit for you. We won't be able to give you credit at this point of time as it is almost a week for your order, which was August 22. Thanks, and regards Navneet 939 ETL <= PS : A 5 dollar is not gonna make me rich or poor ! But this is a bad customer experience. I love the store so I will still be shopping in person but goin forward I won’t be making any purchases online !
App barely works anymore
It lets me sign in but doesn’t seem to save my profile or info. It keeps popping up with errors every time I try to select a store, search for products, do anything, it displays an error page. This app used to work great so I don’t know what happened. It’s convenient for me because my laptop has gotten so old it doesn’t function well anymore, so I hope it gets fixed soon.
Frustrating & time consuming
I am not great at technology but I plug my way through. I find this entire experience frustrating & time consuming. I find it annoying if I decide I want something extra or different than the items I downloaded. It’s frustrating if I need to run into the store for a few things & have not downloaded the offers yet. I don’t get flyer pricing or points if I didn’t download it.To go through the flyer every week to download what I think I may want to purchase is time consuming! I feel this online system for points, sale pricing etc is excluding people who can’t afford smart phones, perhaps elderly & others who are not good at technology. It’s discriminatory. It is an awful system & I know I am missing out on points & deals w/this system. At times there are issues w/internet & you can’t download & in the Save On up here there is awful internet in the store.
All that being said, It would be fine if you could use this but ALSO get points, pricing w/o downloading!

This app is not built by save on foods so how are they allowed to use their trademark / brand?
Poor user experience
The main feature I used this app for on my iPhone was my More Rewards card. The previous version at least had a big button to tap on, but now it’s small menu item. But really the More Rewards cars should be an Apple Wallet card.
The UI is more desktop oriented and awkward to use on an iPhone - it really needs a good UX designer/engineer to make this app easier to use.

Unstable
Crashes every time I open the flyer, get an internal server error when trying to purchase. Useless until it's fixed I guess.
Needs an update to work with iOS 11
Can’t use the app at all because it isn’t compatible with the latest iOS version. Update please.
Passbook pass needed
I have modified my rating to a 2 from 1. They solved the problem of the app logging you out every time however the option of passbook / apple wallet for the Save On card would make it a 5 for me.
