Not worth the money
I wanted to convert my notes from a notebook into a text format on my phone but when I used ScanShot to scan it came out with a jumbled mess where I had to edit almost everything. I payed a year subscription because I read the high reviews and felt confident that I was signing up with an app that could give me what I wanted but instead I was met with disappointment. In the time it took me to edit their version of my notes I could’ve just typed it into my notes app. Not worth the money at all

False advertisement
I was told this would be a 1 week free trial and it was canceled immediate after purchase because it didn’t do what I needed. I’ve been charged $9.99 even though it was canceled within 5 mins of purchase of the trial.
DON’T GET
I downloaded this app for a quick one time use and had to pay to be able to use the actual features of the app. I paid a one time fee of 0.49. However, about a week later I saw that the app charged me 9.99 I tried to cancel my subscription within the app but there is no way to do so, so I deleted the app but they STILL continued to charge me weekly. The only way to cancel is through your App Store. I have filed a complaint with apple and requested a refund, hopefully money is returned and this app banned for being predatory and fraudulent.
Bait and switch
Advertises as free and easy to use, but you need to pay to export any documents. If it had told me before scanning a large document I wouldn’t be so irritated right now.

As this is not a free app. I saw there was in app purchases. I figured oh probably if your scanning things all the time. I just needed one thing. I didn’t notice until after everything was scanned that you had to pay to save the scanned documents. That should be the first thing you mention not after everything is done. Not a fan

THIS APP USED TO BE GREAT. HONESTLY IT STILL IS. BUT IT DOUBLED IN PRICE AND I HAD NO IDEA. JUST SAW MY RECEIPTS AND IT CHARGED ME TWICE FOR THIS MONTH. MY BILL FOR THIS MONTH WAS $30 FOR THIS APP. BE CAREFUL

I only got it because I was looking for a free scanner to make a picture into a PDF. This came up because it said it was free allowed me to scan and then as soon as I tried to save it or email it it wanted me to pay not cool to label it as free even a little bit.

Super annoying when you download an app, that should definitely be free and does not indicate otherwise and then you go through the process of scanning a document and then at the end of course they want you to pay to be able to export it. Avoid

This should be pretty obvious to everyone else except for you, but scanning, editing, and document viewing is useless if you cannot download the document at the end. Hope this helps ❤️🔥

Charged unaware $9.99 each week for MONTHS!!
Beware of this app! What you might think is a useful one-time purchase will actually become a stealthy weekly charge! I used this app one time to make a PDF and have since been charged hundreds of dollars in reoccurring charges disguised as an Apple.com bill. Not worth the price AT ALL to make two, barely satisfactory PDF’s from a couple photos. RIDICULOUS!!!

I continue to be charged an ongoing weekly fee of $9.99 for 2 years now after several requests to cancel the service. I have deleted the ONE SINGLE document I scanned 2 years ago and no longer need. I deleted the app. I sent emails to request this cease with no reply. I assume there will be a lawsuit at some point for invalid charges.
Update - the response was to cancel through Google Play which my subscription is not set up through. They continue to not allow the ability to cancel directly on the application. Only the option to update the subscription terms. Surely there is a class action for this deceptive practice.
I would NOT recommend you use this app as they will hold you hostage at a higher rate and not cancel upon request.

You have to pay to convert
You have to pay to convert your photos to pdf format. They make you go through everything and then at the end they’re like oh and btw you have to subscribe!!

It does do the job as described but since I carelessly scanned only 2 pages instead of 3, I needed to use it a second time. Charged the monthly fee BOTH TIMES 🤬

It doesn’t cost the app anything to export a pdf. They don’t mark it as a paid download. It was frustrating that I downloaded it up loaded my document only to not be able to do anything.

Scam alert! Personal scanned docs used for fraud
I downloaded the free mobile application "Scan Shot" to scan personal documents. After I utilized the app to scan personal documents, there were numerous attempts made to use my personal information to acquire a rental apartment in San Diego, CA and a Wells Fargo credit card for $10,000. My personal documents that were scanned with this application led to my personal identification being taken. Avoid using this app at all costs.
