Come on, you guys can do a better job than this. I’m sure there still some space on the screen left that you can cram in some more pop-ups to make some more money. Before Scopley purchased the game, it was about about gameplay. Instead, you get constant pop-ups and no. Also, $7.99 a month so that you don’t have to see ads? $7.99 a month for add free?

Terrible
I find it extremely hard to believe the average rating of this app is actually a 4.6. If you take the time to scroll, there are infinitely more one star reviews than there are five star ones. The game is fun and the app is fast and doesn’t glitch. It’s enjoyable if you don’t mind fake add popping up every five minutes that you can’t even “X” out of. Super annoying and it’s very obvious from their placating replies that the game makers plan on doing nothing about it.

Deleted this app after an AD popped up after EVERY move in the game! This is supposed to relax you. Not annoy you!!
Worst customer service ever
I requested to delete my information and my account because the adds on the game were too long and it made the game not fun to play. I tried to delete my account via the app but got a message saying to contact support because my identity can’t be verified. I provided all the information needed, which it’s crazy that they even need to have all the information they ask for to close MY account. Long story long I went back and forth via email getting canned responses to the point of having to ask for a manager. I received another canned response and I asked for a manager again because clearly the person is not reading my messages. THEY CLOSED MY TICKET. No help was received, my scrabble account is still not closed and this is not okay. It’s just scrabble, it feels like a tactic to not let people leave the game. Do not play ANY app by this brand.
Used to be great
The ads are horrific. You get frozen in an ad every time you play a word. Have to close the app completely to even get back to your game. Customer service is a joke. Play something else. They don’t care about you.

This game has too many ads, every time you make a move, two ads will pop-up; each ad is about 30 seconds and you can skip the ads at all. I do not recommend this game at all.

Why so many ads?
I understand ads, but after each turn? So many ads makes the app no longer enjoyable. What’s the point of all the ads, if frustrated users just uninstall? Need to rename your app Scrabble Go - Ads with Words! Please fix!
Ads Keep Looping
The game was fun, but now the looping ads have made it unusable. I can watch the ads but it doesn’t go back to the game. It makes you go to the App Store or website and then going back in it keeps the endless circle going. I will find something else because this is dumb.

I guess I’ll have to stop playing this game, my favorite for probably 15 years or more, because I can’t get rid of the ads that never respond when tapping the X. So sad.
Disappointed
They removed pass and play option. That was my favorite part. Was most like classic scrabble where you’re playing someone in the same room and not over internet.

As many others have said, this version simply subjects the “player” to an endless series of mindless irrelevant ads instead of allowing the game to flow. Every time you play a word, get ready for two-minute non-skippable ad about something you would never buy!

Tried playing with a friend - rematches would start for one but never appear for the other, games simply disappear mid-play and awful intrusive ads make it all worse - don’t waste your time
EDIT: The completely inept developer gave a response about the game being complete trash by EXPLAINING WHY THEY USE ADS. Yep…. The morons felt my complaint above was an inability to understand the process of commerce in a capitalist society.

Don’t Bother
When I play the reward tournaments, in addition to the regular Scrabble game, I am routinely robbed of the rewards that I spend hours trying to earn by playing the games and when I contact customer support if I don’t have a screenshot which it’s impossible to have after you close the game I never get any satisfaction. Additionally, the number of ads you have to endure if you don’t pay them extra for the no ad option is ridiculous.

I played this for a few months and it became very clear that it does not use just common English words but foreign words that is not in most English speaking vocabularies. Words I have never seen in my 73 years of life. A waste of this single language English speaking player. So I am in search of a scrabble game that aligns with my English vocabulary.

Ads are relentless. After nearly every move an ad pops up, and most of the time the “x” doesn’t come up to close. I have to shut down the scrabble app and log back in to get past the ad that won’t close.

Still bad
Thank goodness, I play a couple female friends. Play match up at any time and all scams from men. Under the old app, Played people from other countries and it was just scrabble. Now, it’s scammers, they can’t play but 2-3 letter words (first clue) then they ask for info and to get onto group chats. I only play classic, do not need bells and whistles going off over words played. Would give this an app a zero if I could. Update 3/2024. Scrabble has done nothing to keep the creeps out. I play a core group of female players, occ. accept request from a man, somehow, you can tell the photo is not real. This of course, ends up with daily requests from other scammers. I will play along, but do not give out real info and win the game of course, lol

Decent game when you’re not being interrupted attempts to make you download other games. You can’t bypass them either, you have to watch the entire ad. Annoying!

I am so disappointed! I used to be an avid Scrabble player on a version of the app years ago that had just the original, classic game and it was awesome. I searched high and low for that app but this thing is all I’ve been able to find.
Although you still can play classic Scrabble on this app, your game is constantly interrupted by some sort of obnoxious “treasure chest” rewards garbage that has nothing to do with the gameplay. The app also is littered with other, dumbed-down versions of the classic word game.

The ads!
I never rate apps. I love Scrabble. But this is absolutely the worst game I’ve ever downloaded regarding ads. Play one word? Ad. Then you can’t really close it for what seems like forever. Then you get back in the game. Play one word. Right back to an ad. I am over it.
Solitare ads
The solitaire ads are entirely too long and there are too many. After every move, we have to watch a video that’s 2 to 3 minutes long. Not worth keeping on my phone.

Blocks every move
I understand this is the free version and thus there will be ads. However, you make one move and are then bombarded with ads that will block you from making another move for about ten minutes or until you restart your phone. If you wanted me to never pay for app this is a good way to go about it.

Ad pushers
I love playing Scrabble and have been doing so via this app for years. But now they push long ads every five seconds, even in the midst of a short play, that interrupt and often freeze. You’re forced to watch ads that take more time than play. And they have major issues with score bugs. I barely play anymore. Reaching out to them for help is useless. It’s a shame.

App is constantly keeping you from leaving or closing, and will initiate a jump to an advertisers site without your authorization. Should not be allowed in the App Store with its current programming.

Real issue is both my antivirus on my phone and Xfinity internet security give me constant warnings about the app and advise me to block access. Attempted to delete my account and I emailed support to do so, support closed my issue without letting me delete my account. Stay away from this slimy app and it’s “support”

I have played scrabble since childhood and now play online with my sister in the northern hemisphere. Pleasure in the game is all but destroyed by ads - constant and hard to clear from the screen. i paid for the ap but then pay a hundred times over with the crazy stupid ads for random games and goods. If there was another way to play with my sister, even if it cost a lot more, I would do it. This company is lowlife

If you love a scrabble game where after every turn you make, an UNSKIPPABLE and UNCLOSABLE ad renders the app completely unusable until you reboot your entire device, this is the app for you! There’s a reason Scopely is more commonly referred to as SCAMLEY. Every review you look up, from the games and products they make to their customer service AND employment practices, this company is a huge embarrassment and exists to scam people left and right. Yikes. And devs, don’t bother responding with the generic meaningless buzzwords with zero accountability or actually making any changes. Go do your damn job.

Garbage
Way too many pop-ups and “awards.” Frequent disruptive ads, forcing you to play unrelated demo games before continuing. I JUST WANT TO PLAY SCRABBLE.

Very spammy - do not trust!
This game has constant pop-ups with crypto ads and is constantly asking you to buy things or unlock garbage. Also it’s pretty clear a UX designer does not work for this company because it looks like something out of 2009. Just do Words With Friends or Crossplay from NYT. This is really bad.
