This app used to be really great, but their customer service and treatment is just like any other company. Profits over people.
I was a paying customer for 10 years and one day they removed my profile with no warning because it stated my profession as an LMT in the “what I do” section of my profile.
They eventually allowed me to reinstate my profile after numerous back and forth emails. Just to have it removed again. It eventually got reinstated AGAIN but they forced me to remove any language of my legitimate profession in the profile area that is about “WHAT YOU DO “.
Because of this experience , once my subscription expired I didn’t renew it.
As a non paying member, there are pay walls for almost every feature. They’ve basically become Grindr, but without the diversity.

I have been a user for over 10 years and I had blocked a lot of people in that time. Some that felt dangerous, some that were abusive, and some just because I wanted discretion.
Recently, this guy started stalking, threatening and using abusive language toward me. He even showed up on my street using their location filter.
I tried blocking, but they put up a paywall so I couldn’t. I tried reporting them and even wrote to customer service, but Scruff did nothing. They just sent me a generic email stating that I need to pay a membership in order to block people.
So I quit.

Overcharge
I’ve been a Scruff now for a long time and you all just overcharged not only that you make it difficult for people to post pictures. The app is dated and frankly there are other option options and ways to look for somebody. I think I’m going to delete my profile anyway.

They’ve removed filters, changed how you can search and limit what you can view! #NOT GOOD
They’re just trying anything they can to get you on the app longer
Putting a badge icon for a look and a woof when it comes from the same person is absurd. Either fix it where we don’t get redundant badges or give the paying users a way to disable it. Speaking of paying users, I pay to not get requests for a review but there it is every time I open the app now. So you got your review.
Gone downhill
Forced notifications like “looks” and “moments” that sit on your screen. Incessant nude photos from people you’ve never engaged with and no way to turn off these features. It’s a janky attempt to replace instagram. exhausting.
Absolute garbage
You can’t even lowkey promote on here because they’ll deem it as soliciting even though I’ve never did that once. I mentioned I was a content creator and when people ask what that is I tell them lol. Somehow this garbage app has gave me 3 warnings when I haven’t even did anything.
Pay for basically everything
You will eventually have to pay for everything if you want to see anything. Pics are limited as to many how many you can see or send unless you are paying. You can only block so many unless you are paying. It’s basically paying pimp……..
BUG - Profile transfer
You have this persistent bug that keeps transferring my paid profile to another device without my consent. I’ve contacted support a number of times and they are ZERO help. Please fix! Makes me very nervous about the level of security this app has.
Needs improving
Refuse to let us block profiles unless we pay for the service. Allows users to be harassed instead.

I just made my account today 6-8-2026 and was looking for a cutie for a few minutes had a no luck an hour later I get back on the app to find out my account got suspended what the heck??

for some reason, i attempted to make an account and it says suspended already. first time use of this app, already deleted. why are we suspending people from even making an account???
Boring App
After my verification was rejected, the app only loads Tje rejection page. Click the x to close it and it reopens again. Click the “view guidelines” and nothing happens. What a poor app to have something like this happen.
Keeps getting worse
This app just keeps getting worse. You now need a subscription to be able to arrange your photos in the order you want. That’s absolutely ridiculous, along with how expensive the subscription is.

It’s the same stuff. Scam bots and bad attitudes. Let us look for guys we want not what society forces on us; I want the ethnicity filter back.

Live uploads suck
6 month rule is broken and frustrating. Plenty of times I’m uploading photos not taken with my native phone camera and my VERY RECENT photos are rejected. The feature is junk.
Please consider what should be paid for

Excessively expensive
Nobody “needs” what Scruff provides. The monthly fees (and ads) are excessive. I honk everyone would be happier if they’d get off their phones, go to a bar, talk to people, and figure out who you want to spend time with.
To much spam and ads
This app was great when it first started now like most it’s full of spam accounts of people pretending to be massage people and then they try to get money out and block you and these accounts are all the same . Plus you have all the ads even when you pay it’s crazy you should have non if you pay.
Great, but why paywall safety?
I appreciate the chiller nature of scruff to some other queer … social media.. apps. I want to raise the real safety concern that’s presented in only allowing non paying users to have limited block ability. Being harassed? Feeling threatened? Sorry, you’ve got to give us money to be able to use the app AND feel safe. I understand this is a business, but surely allowing people to block abusive or unsafe people should t be pay walled. It’s not very “queer community.” Truly that’s my real only complaint.
Paywall
Too many interfaces behind the paywall can’t look at all your albums can’t see who saw you a week ago can’t see old messages. Wasn’t like this before.
Too limited
This app sucks unless you pay. And if you pay and save favorites and add notes, then choose not to continue paying after you realize it's time to renew but your subscription wasn't worth it, you can't save anything else even after you try deleting other previously saved favorites. And chats from other guys are blocked to try scamming you into paying. Save your money and just use Grindr.

Could you move the message up to the top? It’s impossible to see a little blue mark when somebody sends you a message. Whoever designed your website must’ve been smoking some good weed.🤣
#1 Worst gay dating app on market
Not really a ton to say for this one. The app does not have many local men in the ones and does have look like trolls. Was a very quick delete
