Bad Syncing lost me lots of photos
Not very happy. I got a new phone and downloaded keep safe on it. I always have backup/sync enabled with everything backed up. The new phone only synced about 10 photos in my main album. The rest were blank squares or photos that wouldn’t load past thumbnails (failure to load image). I let it sit for hours. I tried reinstalling to no avail and even installed the app on another phone and that device only synced even less pictures and nothing more. At this point I’m exporting what I can and cancelling and using another service.
HORRIBLE never backs up anything
this is the second time that I’m getting a new phone and syncing everything to my new phone and not everything is sinking as it should I’ve justice in the past and they’ve disregarded my issues and never assisted me with my deleted files that I was never able to recover

I had the old app and now apparently there is this updated new one. All of my photos and videos were deleted. They file name shows on the new app but now photos in it.

This app should be free. Can’t believe I’m paying for an app that can’t even do its very basic function of saving my photos. I had to get a new phone a while back because my old one broke. When I opened this app on my new phone, only a few photos had transferred. I had a ton saved that got lost in the old one that I now can’t access. For an app that does nothing more than hide your photos behind a passcode-and even that it can’t do well-I don’t know why I’m paying at all. Either make it free or make it worth paying for
Update: deleted the app. “App support” doesn’t even take you anywhere helpful, just faq’s. Waste of my money. Google and Apple photos now allows you to lock your secret photos… for FREE.

Missing Feature
Used to be a great app, when they updated/overhauled it, they took away the comment option on photos in shared albums. That was a great feature and really needs to come back. It doesn’t flow like it did before. Revert back to before the app overhaul and I would be super happy. I am looking for new option now.

This app change your password on its own and steal videos and photos and delete them without your permission.
App won’t update properly
I have been trying to work with the customer service team and they can’t help me. The sharing feature stopped working, the Apple update to the newest version and they don’t seem to know how to fix that. I had an older phone with the newer version and yet my newer phone can’t download the updated version of the app.

Can’t upload any photos
Tried creating a new album to store videos in and Everytime I try to put a video in I get hit with an ad (no problem as long as the app works) and once I get through that it hits me with a “there was an error during your input, check your internet and try again” when I know for a fact it’s not an internet issue and just an app situation. There’s nothing you can do to fix this and they’ll keep shoving ads down your throat when trying and then asking you to check your internet. Clearly if an ad is being ran toward me I have access to internet to be able to receive that so it makes zero sense why my videos are unable to import. Terrible app for trying to have separate albums.

I have had this app for years and now that I’m downloading on a new phone with a new number it’s not allowing me to get in. I have the same email. But it’s not pulling it up. IM SO DISAPPOINTED!! This really sucks cause I have memories that I wanted to keep. I can’t access and I’m highly upset!!!

Second time this happens to me, after a recent update I lost all my photos and albums and until today I haven’t gotten a response from support ... I pay the premium from the beginning and I always back up and it just disappeared

Unable to access scout after update
I have not been able to get access to my account after the update. There seems to be no way for me to verify that my email is correct and I have received no support on the matter. There is no way to request support on the Home Screen. I am sure I know which email I used to create the account and it is telling me that that email is invalid.

This app used to be great prior to 2023, then after that downhill. Cloud saves have become inconsistent, photos and videos used to retain metadata to retain dates and other important info, no more. Paid for the lifetime access, this app is not so good. If you sign into another device, the original media will not retain info. The better option now is to self host your own media if you can, not much help with support. Find another app, like synology, photo vault, immich or Icedrive. They all have options to password protect.

I’ve been using keepsafe for years and in the beginning it was great. But now my photos don’t all back up and when I delete from my camera reel before they back up if it’s a video, the videos wont play. I pay for this app upgrade annually now I don’t think it’s so worth it.
Backup Issues
Been a member for years and everything was going good until the update about a month ago..I never had a problem with things that was saved to the cloud but now most of them won’t play even though it’s backed up saying it can’t be played hopefully the update on 2/19/26 will fix that
