I forgot to cancel before my free trial ended (as one does). They didn’t send a reminder and there was no way to get in touch with the company to get a refund. I don’t WANT a year long subscription to this app. There’s no contact info anywhere. They clearly aren’t interested in whether customers are happy or not. They’re gonna keep their money and move on.

I’m pretty disappointed by the paywall. It gets to a point where paywalls shouldn’t be necessary and this is one. The fact that I can’t even use basic tools like the map or scanning products made me sick to be honest. I’m disappointed. I don’t normally write reviews but for this one occasion I had to.

I haven’t used this app as it’s asking me to pay for another membership and response to my email is repetitive when brought up the issue and nothing gets resolved.

Scam
Promotes being able to find local farm products and local farms. There is no such feature in the app. Also no way to get in touch with any kind of support, you are all on your own. Very dissapointing.

This thing will ask you a bunch of very personal questions before it allows you to use the service and so that act as a paywall because it’s mining your information
Expensive and keeps charging
I have not had success with this app. There’s just not enough reporting in my areas. I have deleted the app and I still keep getting a $34.99 charge for it and I can’t seem to get rid of it.
Over hyped
Terrible quality app. Takes for ever and they don’t know about any restaurant. Also the map is super glitchy and won’t show you the restaurant

Seed oil scout in theory is a great app. But the reality of it is there are barely any restaurants available, overpriced, and they hide subscription cancelations. I’d avoid seed oils count and just do the research yourself.
Terrible Implementation
First, it sucks that they make you pay for access to their ‘map’. Second when you do get access to the map, there are very little good places, it’s mostly just places to avoid going. I know that is not up to them, but still. Also there have been several instances of mid reporting, places that do have seeds oil and they say didn’t.

can’t add new restaurants
there’s no obvious way to add new restaurants that aren’t already marked with question marks and zero information in the blog or online on how to do it. there’s also no contact information to ask questions. would be much more helpful if people could actually add restaurants

This app is terrible. I’m not sure where all these positive reviews came from. It’s false, don’t buy into it. The app is run entirely off User data and input, so if you’re not in a populated area it’s completely useless because it doesn’t have any information on the restaurants near you unless people input it. The fact that it’s also limited by a paywall makes it worse.
This app also scams you. It prompts you to enable a free trial to test out the app for 3 days and you can “cancel at anytime” however when you cancel it charges you for the year. So no, you can’t cancel at anytime and it isn’t a free trial. This is lawsuit worthy.

Not worth paying for

I have an active subscription and I absolutely cannot get to the map
I have done everything I can to get this app to work. It used to be awesome, but I absolutely cannot get to the map no matter what I do. I have emailed customer service multiple times with zero response. Yes, I have an active subscription. I even tried renewing the subscription to see if that would get the map to activate and it still takes me back to the option of the free trial. Disappointed and done.
Misleading Subscription
Upon downloading I was offered a 3-Day Free trial and then a $24.99 annual membership fee so I opted into to trial, cancelled within 1 day as I wasn’t quite sold on the app and after the third day was still charged the $24.99 annual fee. Very misleading.

Such a good concept for an app but uses Ai for information. Doesn’t matter if the Ai thing is optional. Even downloading this app boosts the use of ai because it’s still data that is being put into it. Stop using ai

I decided to try an app using its 3-day free trial. Before the trial expired, I canceled my subscription; however, I was still charged for an annual subscription. I’m unable to get in touch with anyone from their team-there’s no email, phone number, or any other contact information available.
Warning
Apps with initial setup like this are so deceiving. You have to go through and submit your email/age/gender and answer lots of questions about your food preferences and then it won’t even let you look at the app without signing up for their free trial and agreeing to be charged. Just a marketing ploy-don’t even care to try the app now. Do better.

Many people have posted that the information is incorrect but no change has been made. Old New York deli is listed as 5-star, no seed oils present. I just called and they have no idea what is in their mayo, which is the base for their dressings and sauces. It’s a great staring point but shouldn’t be used without verifying.
Terrible Customer Service
I love the mission of this app, but the app is bad and the customer service is worse. I get emails weekly about restaurants in my local town. When I click on a restaurant, the app shows restaurants in my area, but not the restaurant in the email. The app is constantly asking me to upgrade to Premium, even though I am a Premium member. Today, I received an invite to renew for free. When I click the link, I am then asked to pay $34.99. Why deceive (or be so incompetent)? There is absolutely no way to contact the developer with questions, issues, or concerns.
