Always rage-baites you because it never saves any work.
I wrote a LONG essay, that’s supposed to have a picture, so I write first, then once I finish this long ahh essay, I try to add the picture and then BOOM, all my work, GONE, NO TRACE, and I had to restart all over again. And this is NOT, the first time this has happened to me.
Not working right this year
I’ve used this app for 5 years now but this school year it crashes everyday. It’s terrible. I need it to check my kids homework and I have to delete and redownload daily
Slow and buggy

This app sells all of your child's data including photos and videos to many other companies for profit. There is a class action lawsuit against this app for this reason.

Waste of my time
This app has become unusable in my iPad. I constantly get a message that I am not connected to the internet even though I am, and every other app or web page works perfectly fine. It used to work ok but something had changed in the last month or two. It’s too bad that this is what my kids’ teachers use because a I am missing a lot of messages. I get the notifications but cannot open the app to actually see the posts. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times. It helps for that first use only and the next time it’s back to the no internet message.

First of all, my kid doesn’t even know how to read still and like the text boxes are way too hard to use on computer. Everything is so hard on the app. I don’t even know how to do. Anything doesn’t give you instructions very hard to navigate as a parent Seesaw no just get rid of your app fully like just delete it.

i appreciate the intention but this is so clunky and the user experience is just bad. i'm shocked we use this still in 2025 to educate our children who will live in a fully AI world when it was perhaps cutting edge in 2000.

I got this app for my class and when I tried to apply homework, it applied all the answers and my photos from my gallery and for the text feature it is INSANEly bad it glitches out of the screen and left my class with all the answers and with a QR code I got one for my class and the first thing that happened was it sent them to my account MY account and the assigned random photos and weirdly allowed them to drake their work. Worst app ever😡😡🤬🤬
Missing so many features
I regularly have glitches and have to force quit the app- mind you, I’m on the newest Pro series iPhone with the lates iOS. I find it sooo frustrating that a family account has to be shared, so if someone else sees the notification, you’ll miss it. Also, if you’re not the primary user you can’t control any of the notifications for emails!!
Don’t fall in love if you don’t have a whole school subscription
I LOVED seesaw and what it could do to enhance learning. A fellow teacher and I are the only two on campus who use it but were in the process of convincing the whole school to adopt it. Recently Seesaw made an update that limited my account’s ability to grade assignment. During the update I also lost 5 months of grades… with report cards due next week. I paid just under $200 out of my own pocket because I believed in the value. I’ve been told that the platform can’t handle both the individual grading feature (what I used) and the update so that school and district accounts can have streamlined assessments. I find that hard to believe that with all that technology can do these days… they are able to section my type of account off and disable features but school/district accounts have this new assessment feature. Seems like it wouldn’t be too much work to allow skills grading to exist in the individual accounts.

Truly Horrible for Young Students and Parents
This app is absolutely evil. I don’t understand how educators think it’s ok to force small children to spend hours creating and resizing text boxes. That’s it, that’s all. My 2nd grader gets a worksheet assigned and IT’S NOT FILLABLE. She has to create, resize, and move around fiddly little text boxes to complete the worksheet. I am appalled! How does anyone anywhere near the education industry think this is useful? She is wasting her childhood on text boxes. Worksheets take forever, lots of tears and frustration. The horrible clunkiness of this process completely overshadows any actual educational content in the worksheets. I am thisclose to leaving our current school over this godforsaken app.

Fix the app
I wish they would fix this app so that every time I try and save one picture of my child I don't download every picture the teacher uploaded that day.
New update- GLITCHY for teachers who are parents
I am a teacher and parent. Since Seesaw rebranded and updated the apps, I can no longer be logged into Seesaw family for my own children and regular Seesaw for my class to interact with students and parents. Please fix this issue!!

Misleading posted date
Seesaw has been a nice app for sharing activities and pictures. But, I found one problem with the app and I cannot understand it.
Whenever any message or picture is posted, it always shows a timestamp underneath the posting. The timestamp consists of the day as of today and time as of now. For example, if you browse a posting from the past day or month or week, it will always show as of when you are seeing it. The date and time doesn’t carry any meaningful information rather than confusions.

HELP!
I see that there’s been an update and now all my pictures are uploading at half the size. Which is impossible to see on a phone! I’ve done everything to trouble shoot it and tried the chat bot. I need help and there’s nothing I can do! All my documentation is Seesaw photos. This is terrible!
Great when it works
When it works, the app is fine. Good even. Lately, I’ve regularly had to force close the app due to the app loading a blank screen.

So, i was using full sceen an the app started glitching then, i little bit after i got banned from using the app so i bot it again & sined in all over again!!!!!!!!!!! How dare!!!!!!!!!
Good in theory
It’s a good app to communicate with teachers but I often am not notified of any messages. When I am, and I click on the message threads, the new message isn’t there. I have to wait hours for it to decide to appear. Other times I won’t get messages from the teachers until a few days later because the app decided not to tell me there was one.
It used to be a lot better a few years ago, around 2020.

I’d say it works 70% of the time… regularly crashes and doesn’t load, constantly says no connection.
Hard to Navigate as Parent
I am a parent using Seesaw for my daughter in Pre-K. Her teacher uses it for communication and photo sharing. I have notifications set-up and yet under the notifications tab in the app there is one thing; an old phot post from her teacher that was sent to everyone. I get notification alerts, but have to guess which section to look in. The only way I know what kind of info I am looking for, for sure is by looking at my email becuase or gives me a preview. I tried to look under help topics on the Seesaw website to see if I am doing something wrong, but I can only find trouble shooting info for Seesaw web-based, not the app. The only app info I find is how to how to download it. I like that I can get photos and can easily contact her teacher if needed. That’s pretty much all I like.

Why can’t I view my journals? It says they have nothing. Also, I liked the other logo better, sorry, that’s just my opinion.
