This company will purposely try and 1. Give you the lowest amount possible 2. Come up with ANY reason to not pay you out the pitiful initial quote. Claims that items not received, damaged books, whatever- and THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. AVOID. They’ve also lost me as a customer- will be going direct to eBay.

The prices quoted do NOT reflect market value. Ended up taking the books to a local bookstore and sold them at much higher prices. Don’t waste your time with this app.

I sent in 36 books, most brand new while some had a few pencil marks here and there. When shipped, they removed nearly 10 books due to “damaged pages” that had BARELY any type of annotations on them. I read the terms, and was fully aware if there were any marks, the payments for those books would not be made, so I even erased the pages that had minor annotations. I was left with only earning $25.56. This app is a waste of your time, some books are even worth less than 10 cents… you are better off selling off of eBay or something!!!

they offer as close to nothing as possible regardless what you scan. Might aswell throw it away. Scanned almost 200 items in and wasn’t even offering $10, later sold a portion of the same items for over $200. Don’t feed these people

I sold the books to this website but never received payment. Asked the customer service, i was told they dont keep any records of payment. As of now, i dont even know they really paid out ir not

Scam, I sent a book in perfect condition with no marks to them, they gave me a quote of $33 but in reality I only got an email saying the item was rejected, they can’t send it back to me because they “immediately recycle” the book, nor can they provide any evidences on how the book is damaged, I wish I had sold it on EBay
User Beware
Be cautious when using this reseller. They are extremely misleading and border on fraudulent. They advertise higher payouts, but my experience was extremely disappointing. They rejected several brand new books, claiming that they were damaged, and appear to only pay out on books priced under $0.75 regardless of condition. The brand new books that I sent them were rejected without any proof or explanation as to how they were damaged. However, the payout amount of each of these books were over $1, which seems to be likely reason that they were rejected.
Overpromise and then under deliver
Sent in books and DVDs. Some were in acceptable and used condition. Unfortunately, they said there were missing parts (there weren’t) or discs were damaged. One of the “disc damaged” DVDs was new in shrink wrap! Never opened and the case was perfect. On top of this there’s no way to get my items back! Had I known this I would’ve been much more selective as to what I sent in, and probably sold the items on eBay. So who knows if they just ended up pocketing the rejected items to resell. I would not recommend this company. This was my first and only “trade” with them.
Doesn’t pay anything
Could live with the low pricing if they accepted every book! But the time wasted with them turning most books down could be spent posting them somewhere else for alot more money! Steer clear
This app is a scam
Scanned a book in a perfect condition (never opened, let alone used/read). They gave me a good price. Mailed the book - they rejected for “excessive damage.” Scammers!
Refused payment
I had two trades and sent them in the same box with both labels. I didn’t realize that we weren’t allowed to send two in one box. They refused payment for the much larger amount even though the books were in excellent condition.
Worth less than paper
If you want to sell your books for .10 or .25 each, then use this app. Waste of time.
do not trust
I had given them sort of expensive books that i didn’t need, though they offer was not a lot I still accepted it. They had claimed I would receive 30 dollars but out of all the money i only received 5. Not only that but they said they were “damaged” I know my books and the expensive ones were well taken care of, but they can’t even provided proof, the worst part is that you can’t get them back be because they “recycled” them. I emailed them they don’t have good customer service and didn’t help at all, so be careful with what you send and know you might not get the money they offer.
Ridiculously low valuations
The value this app assigns to most books is among the lowest I have seen. There are better options for selling your used books.
If you have quality books, this is not for you
They offer pennies for books valued at $60-70. I have an extensive collection of everything from simple paperbacks to expensive collector’s editions. I’d rather give books away for free than sell them to a business for a quarter or two each so they can make a huge profit.
Additionally, the one book I ordered from them was not in the condition they promised. It was listed as “very good,” yet contained bent corners, a torn page, and multiple price tag stickers with gummy glue. Ironically, one of those price tags was marked at 1/4 the price I was charged.
I’m altogether unimpressed.
However, it is kind of entertaining scanning QR codes that still have the original price tag right next to them and comparing to the measly payout from Sell Your Books, I’ll give it that!

DO NOT SEND YOUR BOOKS TO THEM. After I sent in a $60 book they offered to buy for $20, they sent an email saying the book was not in good condition and they’d be discarding it. The book I sent was in perfect condition, and after reaching out to customer service, they rudely told me the book was theirs now and they wouldn’t be responding to me anymore. SUCH A RIP OFF. DO NOT USE.
Inaccurate
App is extremely inaccurate for older titles. The one book that did read the title correctly offered .03 cents, I’m going to be so much better off either donating or selling myself.
BEWARE: New App = Horrible Experience
I had used this app and the company behind it for years (over a dozen orders) without any issues. Efficient communication and quick PayPal payments. The last time I used them in October 2025, they rejected over half of my order (brand new/excellent condition books, mailed in bubble wrap) due to “damage.” Because all rejected materials are recycled immediately, there’s no appeal or accountability. I will never do business with them again; stay away!

Misleading
I was offered $20 for 13 books, so I sent them in. After being received they told me that they won’t accept 7 of my books due to their condition. So they reduced my payment to $12 but kept all of the books.

Have a book that sells for $37, the one I have is practically brand new and was only going to give me .28 cents. No thanks! I’ll use eBay.
Books only valued at 28 cents!!!
I scanned several books of mine. The Amazon reseller price on most were 10-35$. The app refused two and said it would only pay 28 cents for each of the others. And you can’t add more than one. And you have to pay for shipping just to get trade value. Don’t bother.
Worst ever.
Do. Not. Send your books to them. I’ve scanned some of my pricey books out of curiosity and they have offered a few bucks for them. Get and eBay app, scan the barcode there and list them in a few minutes. Then send them to your buyer. Done. And you keep most of your money. I’ve been doing this for decades now.
No explanation for rejections
They don't offer any explanation for rejections. Would recommend taking pictures of everything you send in before you do so. I sent in 4 books valued at $20, and they accepted 1 for $0.28. I didn't see anything meeting the rejection criteria when I sent it in.
Don’t do it! They low ball you like no other!
I downloaded just to see what their offer was. You have to sent $7.50 worth of DVDs to them. I scanned a complete season of 4 different tv series’. They offered $.05-.58. They are all 4 popular series’. I’m not mailing these scammers hundreds of dollars in dvds so they can profit! Boo on them and what seems to be fake 5 star reviews because there is not 1 sane person who will accept $.05 for a dvd!
Offer Less than 30cents per book
If they accept your book they offer really low prices like $0.28 or less
Not what I needed it for
I wanted to see how to sell my books in a fast way. I have a book that is worth +$500 according to EBay, this app offered .27 cents for it. I have other books, all in excellent condition.
Do look up each book you have and try to sell them somewhere else unless you need to get rid of a bunch of books that are bound for donation or the trash. Make sure you know what you have on your hands.

Followed their submission guidelines but they rejected over 90% of my items but what I believe was a discrepancy in published or followed guidelines.
This is a scam
Sent in a bunch of books, most valued at just cents, with two valued at around $20 each. After paying $7 for a box to ship the books, the two most expensive books were rejected. One of them had some small damage, so the rejection is understandable (though the damage could be fixed with a small amount of glue; the binding had come loose and was otherwise in excellent condition) but the other was in perfect condition. It seems they just take all your books and reject the most expensive ones so that they pay out the least. Factoring in the waste of time, gas money driving to the FedEx, and the $7 box, I would have better off financially tossing them all in the trash. They also keep the books… these are textbooks that can still be sold on eBay for $60-$100 each that were rejected. I guess my fault for trying to go the lazy route in selling these books, but still didn’t expect to get scammed by a large company.

This seems like a bit of a rip off. I received the Crichton Patterson book for my birthday and for giggles scanned it… .28¢ of all the books I have that’s the best offered price. I’d spend more than that on a box to ship it than I would make on 10 books.
Insulting prices
These prices are so low it is crazy. Most books I scanned at sound 0.28. I was willing to take lower prices for these book - like an average of $2 per book but not 28 cents! Deleted the app right away
Scam
This place is a scam. After sending them 3 boxes of books and not receiving any money from them after 2 months, I emailed them, giving them my Trade number. They reply that I have to submit proof of who I am with a copy of DL or Passport. Never gonna happen. Don’t get involved with these scammers.
Tried it
The app seems OK functionally, but the money offered for an item is typically vepry small, about 10 cents to 65 cents each for the books and DVD I tried scanning.

Pretty much a scam
I have sold thousands of dollars of books to this company. You’re not going to get close to what you originally paid for, but, that’s unfortunately to be expected. My major complaint is that they are extremely dishonest and always claim that my highest value books mysteriously get marked as “not received”. Mind you, I only sell my unused/unread books that are in like-new condition. It’s interesting to me that all the books that are only worth 6 cents will be received, when a book with a much greater value just magically didn’t get received. Really gross company and abhorrent ethics and customer service.
Wouldn’t recommend
I ended up deleting the app and my account because they accused me of having two accounts and then disabled my account. They assumed I had a second account just because I had to change the email for my account. That explanation came straight from customer service. Would not recommend.
Not worth it
A brand new book that cost $17 - I was offered $0.28. That’s ridiculous.

The app is easy to use but it lacks basic features for a transactional application such as payment tracking, payment set up. etc.

I’ve sent items in new condition and several times, particularly on ones of higher value, they are “magically” in unacceptable condition, and not paid for-meanwhile guessing they’re not recycled immediately as they state, but sold anyway, leaving the seller without the fraction of value and the item. Not worth the bother…
Total Scam
This app popped up in an game ad and it seemed like a good idea for someone like me who literally has hundreds of books in storage. I scanned excellent condition RPG rule books worth 100s to collectors and they offer less than $.50. Ridiculous. I assume this app is meant for people wishing to declutter, not those looking for the best return, but offering less than 1% of the books actual value is just ripping people off. You would be better off having a yard sell.

Does not recognize bar codes nor manually entered numbers. Scans numbers as different titles/authors.
This is a scam
I downloaded this app to start selling off my library of 500+ books. I decided to start small with a sample. They offer less than a dollar for most books, but they did offer $14 for my copy of the Affinity Publisher manual. This book was in brand new condition and had never been used. After sending the books in I received an email message from them telling me that all the books were accepted except one. Guess which one? The one that they were going to pay me the most for. They adjusted the amount down to zero. I contacted their customer service to request a photo of the supposedly damaged book and they replied with a canned email message that quoted their terms of service. There was no photo. I believe that this is a scam and that I've been ripped off. They will make unfounded and unprovable claims about the condition of your books so they don't have to pay you and they won't send the books back.

I found this site and it seemed like it would be legit. I had two books to sell. They were textbooks on welding. One they offered four dollars for and the other $39 for. After a few weeks I got an email that the four dollar book was accepted, but that the pages were dirty on the $39 book. It was rejected, and no payment was paid to me and they made it clear that they have ownership of the book. They will not be returning it or discussing any further investigation. I just think it’s funny that the bigger payout book was rejected and the smaller one that was in worse condition was not, thieves!!! Do not sell them your stuff, they will take ownership and not give you the money for it!!!!
Not good
Offered me 28 cents for like 4 of my college textbooks. They’re basically new. Of course a few years old but really 28 cents? I was reading reviews saying they give the best prices. I’ll take my chances on Facebook marketplace

We will not be liable for any claims or losses arising from such disposal, and we may charge you reasonable compensation for the net costs we will incur as a result of your errors.” If they cancel they will not return because of the liability and accountability for the policy seems unsatisfactory to most people

Scam. They rebranded and changed their name, to cover up previous bad reviews; I see it didn’t take long for their reputation to follow them.
