There’s more glitches than this app will ever be worth. Every time they have an update, there is nothing changed. Don’t waste your money or time
Just stay away
Terrible company to do business with. They are unable to do something as simple as updating your phone number. So I’m locked out of my account all because I got a new phone number, and they can’t help me. They said to pay off your order and cancel the account, and start new after I’ve already worked my way up to over a 2000$ limit. Kinda crazy.
A dozen purchases and no spending power.
i’ve made at least a dozen purchases and completed every payment for all of them and I haven’t used the app in a good minute, but it says I only have $150 for purchasing power which is not enough for anything I wanna buy.

I placed an order with sezzle and saw the subscription offer for $2 for the first month and a $100 discount off of my order. This made my 5 payment only 3 payments which decreased with each payment! However, upon getting charged the 3rd payment at the same price of the first, I noticed they were charging me for the total amount of the original order. No $100 discount for the subscription, which I did have and paid for. Upon noticing, I unsubscribed and put in help tickets through email. Tired of waiting I called the customer service line. The customer service representative told me there was nothing they could do since I cancelled my subscription even though my total amount on my end was $100 less than what they are charging me. I would not have went through with buying the subscription or using sezzle if that was the case. I called and spoke to another representative who told me there was nothing to do just because I didn’t have the subscription anymore. So in conclusion they tricked me into buying the subscription with untrue statements of getting a $100 discount on my order. I am highly upset and super frustrated. I never write reviews but I had to for this one. 2 out of 5 stars. Probably won’t use the service again.

I’d recommend using any other similar app before them, this is a last result type of set up

I really enjoyed using it for a long time without any issues, until the subscription requirement came along. How is it possible that it can no longer be used without the 13 or 19 subscription? They won't approve anything unless you're subscribed-it's terrible how they've ruined this app.
Use Zip or Klarna instead!
I used Sezzle and paid off the order but it wouldn't let me use it again and said my account had been closed. I went to Zip and Klarna instead and the process is 1000% better! You can instantly talk with a real agent if you need anything also! I currently have orders in both apps (Zip and Klarna) and recommend staying far away from Sezzle.
A SCAM.
First off, you get an email saying that they’re giving you $60 credit to Amazon. Then when you log in and tap on Amazon it won’t allow you to access the website through Sezzle. Because in order to get you have to pay a $13.99 “premium membership” fee. That’s a complete scam because I can just use my web browser to go into Amazon. Reason Sezzle is doing a fee is because you’re basically borrowing money to thing from popular sites but if you do decide to go through them you’re also getting charged interest fee on the purchase, and your credit score will be run as well. Imagine just getting your credit checked for a $150 purchase + fee for that purchase, and a monthly membership fee too. Are they mentally tapped in the head? They’re other apps that do pay in 4 that don’t require a monthly fee just to access their website. People don’t be scammed.
Customer service SUCKS
I thought app was great in the beginning. Paid for the monthly subscription pay all payments days before the due date. Now having issues using my account because they can’t explain why I have a failed payment but it was paid 3 days before the due date. Customer service will only say because it takes 4-5 days to process. But if I paid 3 days early I should be good and if that’s why I had a failed payment wouldn’t that make every payment late if you pay on the due date??? Doesn’t make sense can’t get help can’t access the credit because an error on their end I shouldn’t be punished for a flaw they have and the chat support is worse than the chat bots. I showed proof I paid the payment emails statements. And only I answer on why I can’t use it is because payments take 4-5 days to process. So pay a week ahead of time not on the date you’re due because you’re gonna be late and be told you failed to pay because it takes 4-5 days if you pay on their due date according to customer service.

App is a joke
They make money off you when paying back but yet you have to pay for a subscription monthly for certain stores haha that’s ok I’ll delete you. Many app that don’t offer subscription, I don’t need you
Late fee
My credit card was used fraudulently so I had to get a new card and during that time they imposed a five dollar late fee on a $16 payment. I’ve requested a waiver, but have not heard back. I’ve been a loyal customer for years.

False advertising with Sezzle spend thinking you’ll be as a discount.

If you want a system that is so confusing using a virtual card so straight to sezzle. You have to pay for a subscription to buy off of Amazon prime when you already have a prime account. Then you will have to pay out of pocket because sezzle virtual card is a scam. They want to say they have spending power but can only make a payment in the app and not take it out of the app.
Late fee
Just to let everyone know, Sezzle does not provide any exceptions to waive a 20 dollar late fee. Life happens and I explained my situation about my first time having a late payment and asking if it can be waived due to the circumstance but there are zero exceptions. Just be aware that if you’re late with a payment, you’ll be charged 20 dollars and will have to owe it.

I spent countless hours completing a game offer, even waking up during the night to make sure I met the required deadlines and bonus time frames. I worked my way up to level 552 and was expecting approximately $100 in rewards.
What makes this so frustrating is that I have completed other game offers through the platform without any issues. I followed the exact same process, and those rewards tracked and paid correctly. This time, after I had already invested all that time and effort, I was told they could not verify that I downloaded the game through their platform.
I have screenshots of the offer, my progress, my completion level, and timestamps showing my activity. I attempted to escalate the issue and provide additional information, but instead of reviewing my evidence, I received the same response stating they could not verify the download.
It’s extremely disappointing to spend so much time working toward a reward only to be denied after completing the requirements. I feel that customers deserve a fair review of their evidence rather than receiving a generic response with no real investigation.

The app was good for a while up until it started attempting to force me into a Visa card subscription. I couldn’t shop through the app anymore and I lost interest in using it. Closing my account today, I’ll just go back to using Afterpay or Klarna.
DON’T DO IT
Awful experience so far! I paid for monthly Pay Anywhere subscription and was not approved after I paid. The priority customer service number does not work. The chat was an AI not who was no help and a supposed human came on and said they had no time frame for the escalation. SCAM!

Ive been using sezzle for awhile now and built up my spending limit just for them to turn around and make you spend $20 a month for a subscription just to use their payment plan? Ridiculous, i hate it! Ill be closing my account once my last payment is done! Please switch it back, very inconvenient! What other apps make you pay a subscription fee just to use their payment plan?? Never heard of

Worst app I’ve ever used
I know my address, my name, my date of birth, and of course my social security number, but the morons who developed this app created a system that despite my perfect entry, rejects me each and every attempt. The logical next step after having this issue is to reach out to the customer support, but here’s the real kicker: there isn’t one. Robot, robot, robot. So you ask for a human, and they say they’ll escalate it to a team member, but, and who could’ve guessed this, the team member is even more idiotic than the robot.

Listen to the negative reviews. They are money hungry and will charge you fees on top of fees. Worst pay later company I’ve ever used. Just stick to Afterpay, Klarna, and Zip. This app & customer service suck.

Wish I would’ve just stuck with Zip and Klarna honestly. They make it so difficult to delete your account, then when you finally try to they say you have to wait days for unresolved payments despite the dashboard literally saying everything is paid off and your bank even telling you the money was definitely already processed out. Regret even downloading this.
No thanks
The limits on Sezzle are too low. I've had Sezzle longer than I've had Afterpay and I have a $4000 limit on Afterpay. Settle's limit for me is anywhere from $150-$250. I understand how limits work both companies have terms and conditions, penalties for late payments, etc. Sezzle penalized me and Afterpay was there for me when I needed it and has been their limits. No thanks that's all too little too late.

Sezzle was the best of the pay in 4 but now they are the worst. Always having technical issues and really is not what they are advertised to be anymore. Subscription is crazy expensive for what other companies offer for free. After many years with Sezzle I’m deleting this app

Payments
You pay $17.99 for Sezzle anywhere and they only give it to you for about 2 weeks. When you make a payment through your bank it takes them about 2 weeks to take allow you to use Sezzle unlimited card. When you go to make it says past due payments but there are no late payments and all payments are posted and the cash got taken out of my account. 2 weeks later customer service says it’s still processing on their end but it’s been over a week it posted on my bank. So just expect to pay $17.99 for 2 weeks of service.
Scammers
Literally, they charged me a fee even though I paid on the same day. This is one of the worst scams ever this company is always charging me fees. This is a terrible company. Don’t use this app. They will rob you blind charge you access fee terrible people.
Ruined their own platform=greed
Really?Sezzle ruined their own platform by being greedy! I can’t buy anything because of the new policy of having to pay a subscription to use their Sezzle app. Whomever had that bright idea need’s to be fired immediately. It’d made Sezzle’s platform totally useless. Didn’t Sezzle realize charging a subscription fee would just cause their customers to use other alternative payment plans which do not charge a subscription fee? Total Lunacy. Sezzle spend scam
I received $40 in Sezzle spend for Amazon so I ordered something on June 10th, and it wasn’t processed til the June 13th when my Sezzle spend expired. They basically told me I’m sol. I’ve been talking with support since the 10th about it as well. I wouldn’t have place the order otherwise, good thing there is other apps I can use.
Asinine fees
This is the worst by now pay later related app I’ve ever come in contact with no wonder it’s not up on the top of the list with the others. These people will pray on your bank accounts your debit cards. Anything that you may have paid a payment with if so much as a dollar hits your account. They will take it within five minutes. They have charged me three times the payment amount in late fees and failed payment fees. They also take the payment a day early and then charge you a failed payment fee plus a $17 late payment fee no matter what the price no matter how big how small and they do it on every single one with no grace. No leniency no forgiveness nothing they are ruthless not only did I pay them hundreds and fees they turn overdrafted multiple accounts of mine from literally taking my money so quickly that it left me overdrawn . And of course you can’t close your account unless they get every time they have so they can just still continue to get into all of your bank accounts and of course you can’t unlink a single debit card or anything until they get every time so they can continue to be literal. It should be illegal . It’s almost like someone literally has access to your phone and is getting notifications. In fact I’m pretty sure that’s what happens. They get notifications on their system. If you get any amount of money deposited and they take it instantly they’re disgusting. They have zero customer service they won’t work with you. They won’t do anything to help besides continuing to pray into your bank accounts or anywhere you might have money. I get a direct deposit within five minutes if I’m not fast enough, they take the whole thing and then of course, unless you upgrade your card, you can’t even use it. I had payments for $16 that ended up being 60 which made it to where I couldn’t pay the other payments they ended up making hundreds and hundreds of dollars in fees of their shady practices. I would stay the hell away from this place.
Terrible Payment Options/Required Subscription
They don’t have a lot of options to pay off early. You get penalized for paying things off before the due dates. Plus they make you pay 15 dollars a month for a subscription. What a scam.
Scam card taking advantage of the poor
STOP sending me emails and lying to me about getting money added to my balance when that’s a lie. I’m struggling deeply and this is just an incredibly cruel lie to get me to redownload your stupid app.
Paid subscription to use the app?!?? Ridiculous and greedy
I have been a long time frequent customer and it was an amazing app to use but this recent update is forcing users to pay a subscription just to shop which is in my opinion greedy and unfair to old and new customers. If you are looking for a true “pay in 4” or buy now, pay later i highly suggest looking for alternatives unless you are okay with paying $25+ a month for an app just to shop on it.
Fraud
I completed some of the offers to earn points. They’re refusing to pay me the total owed. They intentionally waited until the promotional event I earned them in and then my subscription ended to respond to me, then told me that because my subscription ended I won’t receive what I’m owed. Every successive step I take to receive support, I’m told I won’t receive help because the original ticket is still “open” despite every message I’ve sent after being told I won’t receive the correct amount being ignored for several days to a week. That is step for step fraud. Sezzle should be removed from the App Store. Updating to add that they have completed a final review of the issue and decided “no additional points can be added by our team despite being a subscriber at the time.” Again, no acknowledgment of the double points event that occurred mid-May. Ok! That’s fraud y’all! Editing again to add, because I’ve received a reply: this review is AFTER reaching out to the customer service email they posted in reply. They explicitly told me they wouldn’t help me due to the open ticket, which remains open despite me now being told twice in the same thread I wouldn’t be receiving what I’m owed. How much time and effort am I expected to put into this? It has been weeks. I’ve sent a follow up message anyway, because maybe my public discussion of the issue will prompt actual effort to repair, but I’m doubtful.
