Don’t waste your time with this. Thing just stole all my money from me I had “saved” on here for absolutely zero reason, and with absolutely no warning. Uninstalled this app immediately after, as it’s not worth the hassle/effort if they can’t keep their story straight.

App quietly changed to $0 with vague explanation
TLDR: Don’t trust any promised cashback on app.
I had a very disappointing experience using ShopBack.
I made a purchase through the app (ExpressVPN subscription). The cashback was initially tracked and showed a confirmation date several months later. Everything looked normal.
However, one month before the confirmation date, the tracked cashback amount was quietly changed to $0 - without any notification or explanation. Nothing changed on my side:
• The subscription is active.
• I did not cancel or modify the order.
• I provided the receipt and credit card charge as proof.
Customer service responded with a generic template message saying that orders showing $0 are “not eligible” due to possible exclusions (promo codes, restricted products, etc.). They did not explain which specific exclusion applied to my case, even after I asked.
If a purchase is ineligible, that should be made clear at the time of purchase - not months later after the user has already paid and waited.
This feels misleading and erodes trust in the platform. Cashback being retroactively reduced to $0 without clear reasoning is unacceptable.
I would advise others to take screenshots and not rely on promised cashback amounts.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
What a joke. “Cashback Every Time” Yeah right! I specifically went to the ShopBack website, activated cashback and proceeded with purchase. Waited patiently for it to track but it never did and they tell me there is no record in their system when I have proof. Still, they double down and cite policy that because they don’t have it they won’t grant it. I chose to use them over other cashback alternatives for that purchase and now I regret it. Don’t let it happen to you. DO NOT use them they are a SCAM!
Not available in UK App Store
Would be great if available on the UK App Store. Sad can only use the browser version which severely limits its use.

Withdrawal Failed Despite Correct PayPal Details
I am unable to withdraw my cashback funds. I have tried multiple times, and the app shows the withdrawal failed due to wrong payment details, but my PayPal information is correct. PayPal confirmed there is no issue on their side. This is very frustrating, and customer support has not resolved the problem yet. Please fix this issue.
ShopBack, no money back after 30 days
I requested a withdrawal on 11/27/2025. Today is 12/28/2025 and no withdrawal funds have hit my account. I contacted ShopBack over 10 days ago. Response was we will get back to you. I am still waiting.

False advertising
I'm missing a lot of rebates. I bought $256 worth of goods with 60% cash back, but it only shows that I bought $16, causing me to lose a significant amount of rebates. Contacting customer service only resulted in automated responses that weren't helpful. Please check if your rebates are correct.

I spent a few days playing games to earn the minimum amount. When I finally reached $5.74, I went to cash out. But, after putting in my details for PayPal, my request to cash out didn’t even go through. On my Lifetime earnings, it says I still have the same amount, but when I go to withdraw, it says I have no withdraw history and I have insufficient funds so I can’t withdraw. The only customer support is an AI chatbot who was literally no help at all. I want my money, please and thank you.
Don’t trust them
Works for small orders, but if you place a large order, they’ll give you incorrect cash back (supposed to be 50%, but they gave me 2% even though the lowest is 15% and I followed and read all exceptions and policy)

Completely useless customer service
The cashback amount doesn’t track correctly, and if you try to reach customer support, you are stuck with a useless bot that doesn’t understand anything or lets you talk to an agent. Even if you somehow manage to get past it and send an email to customer service, they provide no assistance at all, even after weeks have passed. Better to stick to Rakuten.
Scam company, the worst customer service
They’ll do everything they can to keep you from getting your cashback, and their customer service is terrible. I played the game they promoted and made in-game purchases, which should have qualified me for cashback according to their rules, but I didn’t receive any.
Customer service is non existent
During a special boost was promised a certain amount cash back. Naturally I didn’t get that. The customer service bot will never connect with an actual person. They just make a ticket and say someone will contact you. They never do.
Terrible
They don’t grant you the correct cashback and then there is no means of contacting them via the app or anywhere else. They have a 24/7 chat bot and that’s all. So you never get your cashback!
Only Confirm what they like
Place few orders, but it won’t earn cash back due to deem ineligible. It is ridiculous; it ads there was % cashback which is false advertising to lure user to use their app. Btw, dont bother with their survey, 90% will opt you out in the middle. As the result, you waste time, you got nothing but have your opinion and counted. Such a scam
Banned for no reason
They banned my account like shortly after making it and said they can’t give me a reason, hadn’t even had a chance to actually even use it
No customer service
No phone number ,no email, only things they have is a useless AI customer support.
Closed my account without saying why
I have 828.00 in my account I go to sign in my account been closed there was no reason for my account to be closed I have facebooked them reaching out customer support very hard to talk to Ill be filling a better business complaint on them
They will ban you if you make too much
I had only been using it for a couple weeks. Referred several people and I was up to $400. They banned me right before I could cash out. This was their response:
“We are writing to inform you that your account is flagged for fraudulent activities and has been banned from ShopBack for violating our terms of use in some way.
Our team takes violations of our policies seriously, and do not offer an appeals process at this time.
Therefore, your account will remain banned from ShopBack. Unfortunately, we cannot provide any more detailed information at this time.”
This is a fraudulent company! I made too much money and they just didn’t want to pay out. All I did was buy stuff from Amazon I didn’t commit any fraudulent activity. They won’t even tell me why, the only fraud is them!

RED FLAGS from the first half hour.
I don’t know trust this app. I downloaded because I supposedly received $40 after making a “buy now pay later” payment. As I was setting up my account & linking app that I sometimes use to shop through, shop back sent me a code to verify one of my accounts, only to realize it was sending me a link to reset my password on one of my accounts. That is a big NO and this app is not to be trusted. I immediately changed my information in the app and then submitted to have my account deleted. No reward app should be trying to change any of your passwords on any account that you use to shop at. This is a HUGE RED FLAG.
