I have used this app for many years and I loved it. In the last year, it keeps erasing my list. I get to the grocery store no list. I usually go back-and-forth from my cart to pick things back to put on my list so I have like a running list all the time And just adding things from the shopping cart that I’ve bought previously back in. But now the app erases both my list and the cart. What good is a grocery list that disappears before you get to the store? I absolutely hate this app now.

I’m just done
I’ve had this list for Years and loved it. Not anymore. I’m done. I’m deleting and won’t use again. Why? Because randomly the lists are deleting. I CANNOT have this. I Must be able to rely on my lists. I can’t keep them in my head with everything else. If I can’t rely on this app I am moving on which is what I am doing right now.

Lost all my lists epic fail
I have used this app for years and it has been reliable. It took a long time to get all the products we purchase regularly added so initially it took longer than a paper list. Once I had everything added it was really helpful though. After the most recent update I have decided to delete the app for good however. I sat down and populated my list with a weeks worth of groceries. When I opened the app at the store everything was gone. As if it were a new install. I restarted both the app and my phone but it was gone. I did my shopping from memory. Now I need to go back to the store as I wasn’t able to remember everything. Back to a sheet of paper for me. Even my notes app would be more reliable.
App killed all my lists
I’ve had the app for 4+ years. Went grocery shopping and all my stores in the app were missing. 4 years of data gone!
Delete Your Lists Without Notice
They claim to have emailed me; never saw it. They deleted existing lists unless you upgraded to a paid membership. After screwing me this hard, I’ll never trust them again at any price.
Needs Work
During a recent update I lost all the lists I had in the app. I can’t believe I have to start over. Considering deleting the app entirely. Very frustrating.
Ransomware tactics
Long time user who paid for ‘premium’ when it was a free app. App managers (MidCentury Media) now removed all my data without notice and claim they’ll restore my account if - I agree to a new “subscription” plan!?!?! I’m not a fan of broken agreements or ransom ware extortion, so I wouldn’t recommend working with this app company.
Bad update
I bought this app and just a few weeks ago I lost all my lists and features. No help from support what so ever. I would not recommend to others

Lists suddenly vanished
Like other users, after many years of using the app in the middle of grocery shopping trip earlier this month, my list suddenly disappeared roughly a third of the way through. All of my custom lists, stores and settings also disappeared. Some of the reviews mentioned an email requiring an upgrade to get your lists back but I never received one. And although I might have paid before the ransom demand I definitely won’t afterwards.

So i was shopping last week when in the middle of shopping, my grocery list disappeared on me. I was perplexed and frustrated. I did my best to get the other items that I could remember, but just befuddled. Then I noticed ALL my lists were GONE.
After a couple of days, I recreated my lists and started using them. Yesterday I went to as an item and got a notice that I had deleted the lists, which I had not.
I sent a screen shot to support and was informed that they had recently deleted all lists from non Gold subscribers. “But we sent out an email letting everyone know.”
I never saw the email. I suspect it was in my spam folder.
So now, there of ZERO point of having this app. I’ve been a user for 12 years, I’ve been fine with only gold subscribers having access to customize, but I won’t be forced into yet another stupid subscription model. Deleting.

Not Happy
I have been with Shopper for years and loved the app. Easy to use. This week all my lists were gone..pulled down on the screen and it showed “network error system update” I waited for hours, nothing changed. I emailed customer support. They said now I have to be a gold member to retrieve all the info. They said they sent out email to inform, I never received ANYTHING!!

What happened?!
I’ve enjoyed this app for YEARS. Until about three weeks ago. My shopping lists disappeared. Evaporated. Preferred stores, too, but the biggest annoyance was the loss of my current lists. It’s back to pencil and paper for me.
Long time user
They deleted my data on this app and won’t restore it without purchasing gold. I feel my data is being held ransom. I never saw the warning that this was coming. I think I purchased a lifetime of this app years ago to remove ads. I don’t have ads but I also have lost all my data from years of accumulation.

I have been Loving this app for so long. Until the other day I went in, and all of my lists from over 5yrs were all gone. No explanation. I wrote to support and they said they had emailed and told us this would happen unless we paid to be a gold member. A pop up in the app would have been a smarter idea to inform people.

It deleted all of my lists…it’s all gone after the update
I have been using this app daily for several years as a non-subscriber. It has always been reliable and it’s the best app out there for grocery lists so I have made multiple shopping lists and use them every single day.
Last night, I was updating one of my lists and then all the data for all of my multiple list disappeared, and it it’s gone.

Will not be renewing subscription
After years of using this app I will no longer be renewing my subscription. No new development or improvements to this app have been made in a long time. Either make continued improvements to the app or give it up and remove it from the app store. Many others are not happy either and get no response from developers. Sorry to be leaving but I can no longer pay money for something that is not maintained by the developer.

I've used this app for so many years and now it's useless. It doesn't update anymore. Favorites stopped working. I found a comparable app called Grocery Shopping List that I like even better. I paid the $5 to get rid of ads and it was totally worth it.

Suddenly Subscription Only?!
I have used and loved this app for YEARS! All of a sudden simple features such as adding a new list item are available by subscription only?! I’d have happily paid a one-time fee to purchase the app, but not paying a subscription to keep a list, despite liking it a lot over the years.
Hope you rethink and allow a single time purchase option. And respect long-time customers by putting previously available features behind a paywall. Until then I’ve switched to the Whole Foods app.

This app has been abandoned. A real shame because it was the best for several years and I paid for it. Curious that Apple allows a non-performing app with so many issues and no updates stay available for downloads.
I have downloaded and tried about 20 different list apps but none come close to this one in its heyday. If anyone has any that do, please leave a review and let us know what you’re using now!

was good but it seems to be a dead app with no support of future
I thought this app was pretty good, but as of 3/30/23, they no longer have sharing/syncing working anymore. i’ve contacted them several times. too bad.
Do NOT Purchase
I have been a shopper user for many years. Currently pay for the app at Gold level. I recently had a syncing issue with the app, contacted customer support, no response. The telephone support number is disconnected. I deleted the app and reinstalled trying to fix the issue - now I can’t log on. Contacted support via email, said they will get back to me. Now some two weeks later and several additional emails -no response. As others have said, it is time to find another app and cancel my subscription.

My annual subscription just renewed on 4/7, but I just noticed that the last sync was 3/21. Very frustrating. It keeps saying "Network Error" when I try to since it. Guess I will be finding a new shopping app...and foregoing the $8.99 subscription fee 😡

Appears Abandoned
The app appears to be abandoned. The last update to the app was three years ago, and the sync function stopped working for me on March 30th, so almost two weeks ago. I submitted a support ticket to the developer and haven’t received any response. It’s a real shame because I’ve been happily using Shopper for years, but it looks like it’s time to find a replacement.

Seems company may have gone defunct. Sync between devices no longer works and their website, though up, login times out. Been keeping an eye for a week now so more than a little downtime.

Their server no longer responds, and they haven't updated this app for two years, yet they are still taking monthly subscription payments. Why is the Apple Store allowing this to occur?
You can no longer use the web interface (which would be more convenient than using the Share/Email List function which just sends an HTML rendering for the whole list) nor the "library" of recipes, and the "support" link from the Apple Store entry doesn't work, either.
We've switched to OurGroceries which seems the closest functional equivalent, though the only way to share lists there is to have everyone use the same email address as a username. It does sync much better (quicker), though, and it's free, unless you want to skip the (unobtrusive) ads.

No longer syncs with Alexa
I loved this app. We used it for years and the support team was usually very helpful and responsive. But recently the app stopped syncing with Alexa and so far the developer has not responded to my query. Based on the age of the last update I fear the app has been abandoned.

I have the premium “gold” upgrade and zero response to support queries. Last update over a year old. Alexa app is a wreck and you can’t even update your password because of an ongoing server issue.

I have been using this app for years and was excited to try it on my Apple Watch. Apparently you have to be a gold member to use it on your watch. Unfortunately it won’t work. Save your time unless you plan on paying monthly to use this, you’ll be better off with a pen and paper.
