Not working the in box= useless app
As I wrote before it has been an excellent app and I loved it, allowing the visitor to have the assistance of a local in almost every city. It was the best: you create a trip , and the locals offer their services charging an hourly rate. I used the app always as a visitor. I have always made the payments on time and I have got excellent reviews of the guides. Unfortunately , Showaround changed for the worse . The inbox is not working and you cannot receive offers from locals. Showaround pretends to charge the visitors $25 per month. This is US$300 per year, even if you only travel once or twice a year. The app still allows you to create a trip and notifies the locals. However, Showaround blocks the offers and messages that you may receive at your inbox from locals, so the visitor can no longer hire them, and they will no longer have the possibility of work. I insist that it would be more logical and fair to charge a commission per trip. And remember : afterwards you have to pay the local. In case of few annual trips, it is better to hire a professional guide. Showaround, unless it change its policy, is a useless app for the traveler. It's a pity!

I don’t know what’s the point if you put a premium to contact with people, I already new at this app and no one can pay for anything before trying it!!!

Super Disappointed
App barely works and is full of bugs. Cant even tell if the people are real on this platform. Refund requested immediately.
Fraudulent
This app makes it impossible to stop your subscription. Do Not Pay them. I’m still attempting to end my subscription after closing my account several months ago. Hopefully Apple support can get this solved for me
Does not work
A message pops up saying “Update the app.” There is no update. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. Same problem. The “Update the app” comes on.

This app is pure scam with fake profiles. All replies are from same person in same tone, doesn't speak local language when I checked. Avoid

The app operates great. I didn’t run into any issues, operationally.
Unfortunately you aren’t going to get much out of the app. All these 5 star reviews are false, created by programmers, just like a lot of the “locals” available. Specifically the “free” or cheaper priced profiles. I’m traveling to a single area for an entire month, contacted 7+ profiles multiple times, and didn’t get a single response. I’m guessing the cheaper profiles are to get you to buy the app. I can’t confirm they are bots. Probably those who wanted to use the app, but are required to create a profile showing they are “show-a-rounders” in their are. Don’t get to excited.
The idea for the app is great, runs well, but I’m traveling alone. My budget is tight and can’t afford $20 to even $60 an hour to be shown around! Purchasing the app is $18 I won’t get back.
Unless you have some serious money to burn paying a local to show you around, just talk to your hotel front desk or Airbnb owners. It would just have been nice to at least get a response... 😕
