NOT user friendly
I have been searching all over Shpock’s help pages and if they give information, it’s usually either outdated or not true. I am selling an item and neither me nor the buyer can see any way to process payment, nor can I find ANY option to contact customer support except through a third party company that takes 7-10 days to respond. So far my issues are: buyer cannot see how to pay, help page does not assist in starting a payment, only says to add card, the site says PayPal can be linked, but neither the buyer nor I can find that option, support page says there is a contact link, but there is none I can find, and the app interrupts and reload EVERY time I get a message, deleting any response I’ve been working on. Just use OfferUp or letgo, neither of them are perfect but at least you can reach someone when you have issues.
EDIT: FINALLY after a year I get a response! What a joke! Do NOT use this company!

I tried to sell some stuff on here but everyone that messaged me was trying to scam me. So I deleted it. A few days later I get an email saying I sold an item to one of the people that tried to scam me. Which I didn’t so obviously your information isn’t safe here I recommend let go or something else.

What a waste of time. I had 22 offers and purchases. Not one person ever paid. I was harassed and lied to constantly by buyers. Nothing was was done about people never paying. Never again! Don’t bother. There is to many much better places to sell like Mercari.

They will also arbitrarily delete your listing if it “violates their terms”, but offer no way to retrieve/edit the listing to meet their terms. They also don’t tell you why it violated their terms .

Every time I listed an item to see on this app nothing but scammers tried me. I ended up selling my items on other selling platforms. I am

Too many scam.
I feel very unsafe in this site. I use a few sites to sell my product and so far this is the most scariest one. So far I have 6 buyers message me and they’re all a scam. They alway ask me to text or email them. Then once I do they ask if they can purchase my product as long as I get an additional gift card for $300 to send to their cousin in out of state. 6 different people with the same message asking for the same gift card. I assume this is all one person pretending to scan others. I provide feedback to shpock twice and I do not see they did anything. I will be deleting shpock and will never use it again.

Worst app I’ve every downloaded. If I could give it zero stars I would put it, but it’s not an option. Super super sketchy app and people. When I put up items for sale, many people say they are interested and to contact them through email and when I do they all respond with exactly the same message about sending them my address so that they can send me the money by mail. I would honestly recommend any selling app, but not this one.

I’ve posted on this app and the only reply’s I get are from scammers. Who asks for your number to send a false check or ask for your address and personal info. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!

I have yet to come across with a real buyers. They’re all scams. If someone says they’ll send money with DHL or send a check through mail then it is a scam.

If you get scammed or experience any kind of fraud and report it to the app they won’t do anything nor will they block the person from making a new (fake) account after you’ve blocked them from using your app because you don’t have a system to check ipAddress's to check if this person making a new account with you has been banned previous and are trying to get around the rules! Terrible 'company' who is also extremely slow to even reply to your help request.

Last comment says it has a bunch of security but there isn’t even any safe way to make transaction? People can still get scam off this even using PayPal. Offer up is safer but it’s full of scammers. Will make a couple purchases to see is this good. 3 stars for now!

I don’t want to give you my current/exact location, and without that, you can’t ‘discover’ anything. You can’t even set a Zip Code, so this is just a waste of an app. I bet they don’t even have any items for sale, and just want to collect your personal data/info.

Shpock is full of thieves...
I have purchased several things from Shpock. I cannot recommend this app. In fact I recommend you stay away. I was scammed out of 600 pounds and after reporting it Shpock didn’t respond for days. When they did days later they told me the transaction was fraudulent. Really?!!! I had already told them. I then followed the scammer and they are still posting on Shpock. The company refuses to check IP address and do anything. They have an obligation to protect customers but instead they protect the criminals. Run from Shpock.

Won’t let me get pass the phone number part. But won’t let me lunch in my phone number. It says my code will be here in a few mins a few days later and still nothing

Difficult to get started
Can’t use the app without giving the developer my precise gps location. I understand that this makes shopping convenient, however I don’t know what they are going to do with that data. The app should at the least let me put in a zip code if I deny location access.
Spam
Spams you with notification ads every day even if you turn off all notifications except those for when people bid on your postings. Keep away if you want to keep your sanity.
Update: lol, developer replied and tried telling me how to set notification settings. I have already turned them off. It didn’t help. That’s why you’re now getting 1 star. My settings are set to ONLY notify me on bids or comments on my items, yet I get spam at least weekly begging me to post more items to sell.

Notifications
I selected that I am not interested in notifications about news and discounts. And I still get them. How hard is it to just leave people alone and let them use the app for what it’s designed for these days? Uninstalled.
Useless and terrible customer service
Despite repeated attempts to cancel my account Shpock have still not cancelled my account and deleted my details in line with European privacy regulations. Customer service is terrible and the app in general was useless.

Spent 20 minutes trying to set up profile and gave up. App wants far too much personal information. Wasn't able to complete profile so couldn't limit the search area. Very poor design. Will delete the app now.

Platform for scanners and cheats
If everything goes smooth the app does a good job but if there are problems Shpock does protect the people who are dishonest and misusing the app. Also the communication just stops as soon as you remind the partner of his legal agreement. You are way better off using ebay, protecting your rights and safety.

This app is easy to use, looks really clean and all but there are so many scams. People keep making offers but refuse to keep the chat on the sight. Sometimes I can’t even tell if they are users or not, very inconvenient.

Buyer AND Seller BE AWARE! I have recently started selling stuff on this site and I came across this buyer who said they would like me to ship the item to their address in Ireland. They told me they would give me an extra $200 to ship it. They said they wanted me to ship the item before they paid just to make sure I wasn’t scamming. And I did, and I got scammed. Right after I told her I shipped the item and gave her the tracking number, she stopped talking to me. I have contacted Shpock and am waiting for a reply. I knew about some sellers being scammers but I would have never expected that from a buyer. Now I have no money and no phone to sell. I am very upset 😡.
Annoying
Shpock has always been so freaking annoying to use. It is incredibly difficult to edit or even delete your ad sometimes because the options are simply not displayed. In the app and website you are very limited to what you can do.
