Can’t use paid app
I have been impressed with what little I have seen about your apps. I’m anxious to start using the one I paid for
I paid $60 for a year subscription to your app called ShutEye. It was paid on March 7of 2026 and should be good through March 7 of 2027.
I talked to Apple and they checked my account and said my story checks out. They recommended eye contact you and then got back with them.
I had intended to cancel it before I was charged, but it slipped by me and I did not cancel it in time. I did not realize I had already paid for it when I canceled it.
I would like to gain use of the app for the remainder of the subscription or get my money back.

A scam version
If you’re up for checking it out as normal, go ahead and know that even though you’ll hear you’ll have a free few days to test it out for you, you’re getting tricked and scammed. You will get charged a full amount more than you can imagine before you even subscribe to it. So the app may be good but totally impossible to actually trust them as you can tell you’ll be having money charges pulled out of you with no notifications.
Not so good.
I’ve used this for two weeks. In one spot it tells me, I fall asleep too fast- what’s wrong with that? And tells me I sleep too long. I know other people in their 70’s (like me) who would love to have some uninterrupted sleep. I’m not understanding what is wrong with my sleep habits.

Too many gimmicks
Was gonna try this but deleted during set up. Too boomer coded, too many screens just get to the app. Don’t need 20 screens trying to sell me upgrades

Someone commented in reviews that this app is completely free. That’s a lie. You get a free trial and then they charge you. Just an FYI for those who look for truly free apps to use. Thanks, but this one is not for me.

Bait and switch
Signed up for the free trial. Added all of the info, but it wouldn’t let me access the program unless I paid 5999 upfront for a family subscription. that’s not a free trial! Very misleading
Stopped working
App has stopped tracking my sleep . It shows a straight line and says time asleep 0. I have 2 other apps I also use and they show the accurate amount of time I slept. Prior to this problem I liked this app because it gave me a lot of useful information. Now it gives me nothing. Canceling my membership

I tried to do the free trial and somehow it ended up charging me $59.99 trying to go through Apple to get a refund I would not use or trust this app
Would not update
The app was great until it no longer worked. I woke up to it needing an update. When I tried to update, it would not accept the update. I deleted the app and reinstalled it thinking this would help. When I logged in with my login information it did not recognize me. I had to sign up again and said I could have a seven day free trial. I already paid for a year. I emailed back-and-forth with ShutEye for resolution and still have not heard back from them. I would not recommend.
Snoring tracking bug
I got this app and even payed a yearly subscription (regrettably now) to track my snoring and see whether different remedies work. The issue i have is that after i finish tracking my snoring the app will show me an initial score a numbers for my breathing health, then after like 1 minute they all reset to 0. I can hear clips of me clearly snoring but the app updates/crashes/bugs out or something to show default 0 values for all breathing health metrics.

I paid $10/month for this app and it suddenly stopped working. Data is temporary hidden but has yet to begin working. wouldn’t pay for this scamful app. Try another one.
How Can I Trust the Data When It Defies Physiology?
I initially found ShutEye useful and relied on it regularly to track my sleep. However, over time the app’s sleep-stage reporting has become increasingly inconsistent and difficult to trust.
For months, the app routinely reported that I was getting 5-7 hours of deep sleep per night. More recently, it began reporting only 0-5 minutes of deep sleep, despite no major change in my sleep habits. At the same time, REM sleep reporting became erratic, and the REM percentage data was eventually removed altogether.
The current data often appears internally inconsistent. On some nights, the app reports less than an hour of total sleep while simultaneously displaying several hours of light sleep. On other nights, it reports implausible amounts of REM sleep. These dramatic shifts make it difficult to determine whether changes reflect my actual sleep patterns or simply changes to the app’s algorithms.
As someone who experiences significant fatigue, morning headaches, and other sleep-related symptoms, I rely on tracking tools to provide reasonably consistent information. Instead, the app’s reporting has become confusing and, at times, appears physiologically impossible.
If sleep-stage calculations or algorithms have changed, users should be informed. Transparency about how sleep stages are measured and how updates affect historical data would go a long way toward maintaining user confidence.

Very Limited
Other than checking breathing and snoring and maybe the white noise for sleeping it doesn’t do anything else. It doesn’t really measure sleep and isn’t worth the monthly price.
Used to be good
This used to be good. And as of a couple of weeks ago it’s now not working. It says I’m getting 1-2 hours of sleep a night when I’m getting 7-8. And I keep getting a pop up about resuming an upgrade. I’ve contacted support and they’re not responding. If they resolve it then I’ll consider updating this review but the customer service has been terrible so far.
The recent updates cause a bug
I cannot see my nightly sleep data anymore, there is always a upload data modal blocks the details page.

Now you can sleep 10 hours and it says you only slept 3 and totality screwed up your sleep score. Now it’s worthless and I still have months on the subscription
Glitching
The app is glitching and doesn’t record my whole night sleep. Then stops recording and tell me to manually download it but it never does. The same message keeps popping up

I used this for a few nights and enjoyed listening to the recordings in the morning, but was pretty annoyed that all the data about the previous night’s sleep and the recordings would be erased right after I viewed/listened to them. It also charged me for a subscription rather than giving me a seven day free trial, as offered.

The trail is a scam, they will charge you even if cancel it well within the cancellation period.

This app is NOT totally free! I wanted to try it, but decided to cancel during the trial period. I followed the not-so-clear cancellation instructions, several times, but was charged $60 anyway! I am not happy at all and have let everyone know not to get this app unless they know they definitely want it!

Rip off scam
The fact that they require you to not only enter your phone to download their app they also require you to enter a credit card number, which leads to only one thing so they can not only have the ability to access to your phone but also to your credit card! Plus if you check out the data that they claim isn’t linked to you in collects your financial information contact list so they can scam your friends and family as well!!!
Main downside
It is nice, however when your kids wake up in the middle of the night, and you get up to go and help them. This app Thinks your in “deep sleep” when I am physically awake and walking around. It makes it even worse because I am wearing my Apple Watch and having it paired to the app. So I have trouble liking a sleep app when it thinks your in deep sleep every time I am awake tucking my kids back into bed
Keeps deleting my data
I will sleep from like 10 PM to 7 AM and when I wake up, I will check my data. A few hours later when I go back, it will say I only slept from 10 PM to 1 AM. I will go back to a certain day to check my data and it will be gone.
Awful ad for payment
I’m struggling with insomnia! Have been using this app like few days to track the quality of sleep. It takes so much effort for me to come to sleep. Today, I prepped judicially all the evening to sleep and I was feeling really sleepy and just opened this damn app to start! It popped a notification to pay. But couldn’t go to the app. I couldn’t pay. It was failing. I tried and tried and tried! I lost my damn sleep. If you want my damn money you could have asked me when installing the app or while checking the report in the morning. Whoever designed a feature thinking people will buy and developed a feature that did not work, you are loosing a customer. I’ll make sure none of my circle use your app. I’m frustrated that you ruined all my evening effort for a damn $30. I would have paid $300 if you asked me.

Possible fraud
My subscription just renewed for a year, but the app insists that I need to subscribe or restore. Neither process works. If this isn't fixed very quickly, I will be reporting the developer to Apple as committing fraud.
Disappointed
I wish I could give it a full 5 stars. I used this app every night for the last 4 years. Within the last few months it started to consistently crash every night. Now I can’t even open the app. Sad I pay for an app I can’t utilize anymore. Please fix it
Don’t bother
They want you to reach out with a problem but send you back a response clearly from a script and try and tell you that it’s because you must not have updated the app, even if you have. Offer absolutely nothing when you’ve been paying for this app for years (loyal customer). You’re telling me that in 2 weeks, thousands of people are telling you that suddenly the app doesn’t work and you have no idea why and no fixes? lol. AI could’ve probably fixed this in 30 seconds.

Stopped working last month
Ive used this app almost every night for the past 3 years. As of a month ago will no longer stay on overnight and the alarm doesn’t work.
