This app will lose your messages and all app data
The backup and account transfer process is extremely broken. I followed all the steps and my old device deactivated once the back up was complete. Now this app completely failed to restore and is now prompting to restart the process from start, after it already disabled the old instance.
I’m not sure if I can get all my messages back, I certainly can’t without a ton of unnecessary work. I have no idea how such a fragile program was allowed to ship.

Stop Repeatedly Asking for Contacts Permission
I really want to like this app because it’s supposed to be privacy-focused, but there’s one issue that keeps bothering me. Every time I open the app, I’m prompted to grant access to my contacts. I consistently choose “Not Now,” yet the app keeps bringing it up again every few days or about once a week with a message like “OK, we’ll remind you later.”
If I’ve declined, that should be respected-especially for an app that emphasizes user privacy. Repeatedly prompting for the same permission feels intrusive and undermines the whole point of giving users control over their data.
Please consider adding an option to permanently dismiss this request or respect a user’s decision after they decline. It would go a long way toward aligning the experience with the app’s privacy-first principles.

Please make a channel feature or make it to where the admins can always delete messages “for everybody” in groups where only the admin can post in. Like please code it right now. My new members cant see previous post so I always have to forward previously posted material back to the group. This causes the same posts to be seen over and over and over which is redundant and is clustering the group. Help 🙏
Disappearing messages
The one thing I don’t like about this app is if you don’t back out of the message your in then as soon as you open your phone the message disappears! Maybe if you did like a pin or a face recognition in order to read the message that would be better
