Sloppy
If you setup login with google, you will not have an option to login via the mobile app. Most of the settings and rule customization settings are only available on the mobile app. This product is not ready for true business use.
Disappointing
UPDATE: I received a reply to this review asking me to reach out to support to troubleshoot - just to clarify I have an open case with tech support. I was told this is a known issue with no fix date- and I’ve had to follow-up on the case/I don’t get updates from them.
Loved this when it was working. Now it’s tax time and nothing has reconciled in months. No fix date reported. We are left hanging.

Frustrating updates and internet requirements
Why should I need to be connected to the internet to be able to save a receipt? Also, why should I need to update the app so often and be forced to do so even when I dont have good internet service? This app really doesnt work well if you dont have continuous internet service at all times. And on top of that the offline receipt saving function fails. Now I have 2 unsaved offline receipts that I cannot access. What items am I not going to be reimbursed for?

Not free at all. $90/year to use it. User beware.
Terrible
I scanned one receipt… it got the total completely wrong and incorrectly paired items with prices in the item breakdown list. Nope.
Amazing Sync
The app used to be really good with syncing to Amazon. Now it doesn’t work anymore. Tried customers service but it fix the issue

I have had Simply Receipt app for years and I always paid weekly for numerous reason… and I do not appreciate how they now are weekly this shows how greedy a company has become I do not appreciate that at all I have been a long term customer faithfully paying them for a business account $3.99 a week 2 plus years do the math yes I am dumb when there are other ways such as Microsoft to reconcile my receipts at this point I think it’s time to point my long years of contributing to other sources that may have better things lined up.
Buggy and slow
I paid for an annual subscription and I regret. The app is full of bugs. I tried to address them through emails and some were fixed but some remained buggy. I wasted a lot of time to make this work, but I give up now. I’ll make my own excel sheet

This could be fantastic, however, the feature allowing you to email receipts to it does not work well. Instead of identifying the seller, it pulls your email and cannot properly identify the seller. Because of this, it also will not properly determine the category. I’ve called support and they said they could not do anything but maybe it will fixed in the future. 4 stars when this is fixed.
Great at scanning receipts, Awful at reconciling
It is very cool how well this app reads receipts although it doesn’t do great at handwriting so if you go to a restaurant and add a tip, you have to edit. If the app sold itself as just a depository of receipts, that would be fine. I could then go through my bank account manually and reconcile transactions however, it claims to have a reconciliation function. But it is awful. When you connect your bank account and click on a transaction, the program suggests a receipt you can either say yes or no, but you cannot search through your database to find the correct receipt, nor can you reconcile from the receipt database. And the suggestions are ridiculously wrong. Often the merchant date and amount don’t match and for some reason it gets obsessed with suggesting the same receipt for every transaction even if you’ve already reconciled that receipt to a transaction.
