I used to like this app now I don’t
I do not like this app anymore and I will tell you why. I spent days reading letters, and truly giving a very sincere response. I truly cared and I tried to help those that I write. I’ve been on this app for my four or five months now. Are those four or five months it says I’ve helped like over 1000 people. I’ve only wrote three letter letters. So I’ve barely asked for help. The last time I wrote a letter it was just something that impacted me and I even wrote on the letter. Hey I already went to a counselor about this but what do you guys all think? And not one person ever wrote me back. I got one heart. So all this time helping other people which I’m glad I did but the one time or even just a response I got nothing.
Long Letters = No views ?
I had a letter that went unnoticed for over a month and I tried to resend it and still got no views on it. I deleted and tried to send a new one again and still nothing.. is it because my letter is too long? Why is nobody reading my letter? I really needed advice on it, it’s really important to me but I guess I’ll just have to be alone on this one 😕

Not a 5 star app anymore.
In recent updates, the app has become more restrictive in what appears to be an effort for you to pay for what was once free. You only get 1 letter as appose to the usual. Way too many ads are now forced on you. Overall it has degraded the experience.

You guys a greedy for wanting money for reactions and responding to messages. This was a great app before but you guys are monetizing people’s sadness I hope this is all worth it.

I’ve had this app for many years. And believe it or not it has helped me out of my darkest days. Life became better and I did distance from the app. Coming back now to find what used to be to be FREE now charging a subscription fee smh. It’s like everything that’s good for you comes with a price. This world literally needs to end. Life already has sooo much subscription no one can even keep up with them all. I genuinely would love to understand why would you charge people just to express deep emotions to a complete stranger? It’s rly stupid if you think about it, kind of exposes how low everyone and everything around us rly is when it comes to simply wanting humans to feel heard, safe, understood etc. the list can keep going. Notice how facebook and instagram would never charge a fee because they know the app itself would never generate love. Only toxic behavior that teaches people to not only be self centered but to believe the world revolves around just themselves outside of social media. Anyway. Rest in peace to what use to be a great app.

The idea and the app itself are so amazing. I would appreciate this app so much but it made me sad that i had to pay if i wanted to write more than the “limit” of letters. Ive had a lot on my mind and i was so excited when i learned i could vent without judgement but then i wasnt able to get all it out and tbh im just more upset. Flip you and your stupid subscriptions

Not actually free. Their website is wrong.
The FAQ on the website says that the app is free, within daily limits. But apparently that is not true. You get a three day trial, and then you have to pay. There is no actually free option outside of this three day trial. Either make the app match your marketing on the website, or make the website match reality. But that is false advertising.

I recently spoke with a fellow app user who encountered multiple suicide letters on this platform, felt constantly obligated to answer them, eventually failed to answer one without realizing it was time sensitive (person said they would end their life in hours) and can’t stop thinking that he might have left someone to die.
That fellow app user is still in high school. (18-19 years old)
It’s true that this app is 18+, but shifting the burden of suicide onto untrained professionals who are both unqualified to give advice and unprepared for the sudden shock of mental trauma is extremely unethical, especially because theres no way to report suicide letters so the app can directly provide the suicidal person with the 988 hotline, and also because the option to pass on potentially emotionally charged letters more than once is locked behind a paywall.
Please take action to address this.

Terrible notification problems
I actually like the app. I love the idea of it and the engagement. The problem is that.esaagingbis completely broken and it's making continued communication almost impossible. You get a notification of a new message, so you click on it. The new message does not come to the top. There is no highlight or icon. Not only that, the first few letters previewing the communications are several messages older than the current one. If you have several contacts you have zero idea which one sent you a message. You must manually read contact thread to guess who sent something. This is absolutely idiotic. It makes a great app completely unusable. To make it worse, there is no way to contact anyone for help.

This app is OK. But literally all this stuff you can do on Facebook posts which comes for free on everyone’s phone. So in conclusion I think this app is pointless and a waste of time although it does do a job at posting vents and replying to people’s vents.

Went downhill
I used to love the app as someone who loves to give advice, but this app used to allow us to reply to as many people as we wanted to within a short period of time, whereas now just to give more than one person advice within 10 hours, I need to buy a subscription. And the fact that even after PAYING, I still don’t get to reply to unlimited people is even more disappointing. Honestly so upsetting and I’m on the hunt for a similar app that I don’t need to pay for. Used to be an amazing concept, what a bummer.

Can't read all 3 letters one after the other
That is the whole point of the app, there's no reason to make us wait 15 mins between letters when we don't even answer them. This was one of the reasons i used an iphone and just like that, had to delete the app. Was a safe place, now get ads while typing in addition to this. There are better ways to do this

I’ve had this app for 3 years now and I’ve met amazing people on it. I just went to see if there are any responses to my letter and it completely logged me out and when I tried to sign in again it wouldn’t send me a code. All my letters for the past 3 years are just gone. Wha a shame. And it says after 3 days u have to pay a subscription now?!
Would’ve been good
Kept asking me to write a message to myself to see in a month from now. I didn’t want to do it but there was literally no way around it. So I deleted the app. If you don’t want me to help people with my responses fine, but don’t force me into an action by locking out the rest of the app features.
