If you struggle with implied instruction, this game SUCKS.
I’ll give it to em, the game is beautiful, but the instructions for everything is cryptic and doesn’t actually tell you where to go 99% of the time. Half the time when you’re looking for something (ie. spirit, quest location, quest interactables) there’s no indicator light on where it is, and heavens forbid they give you more than 4 words to give instruction for their overcomplicated game mechanics. ADD BETTER INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE. I shouldn’t be crashing out cause this game SUCKS at actually being helpful in what to do with their quests. I shouldn’t have to look up how to go through the trials, fail a bunch of times anyways cause this game likes to see you suffer, and spend 45+ mins on getting 1 single winged light. If y’all like neurodivergent people, fix your damn game.

I love this game, I’ve been playing for five years but yesterday I got my main account banned for no reason.
Terrible experience
The publisher completely disregards the player experience: terrible pixelation, constant animation glitches, regular items getting uglier day by day, and rehashing old designs with absolutely nothing new. Recently, with the Color event, they pushed pack prices sky-high under the guise of charity donations. If players want to buy IAPs, they are forced to pay the included donation fee-why not split it into two separate options? Not only that, they keep constantly raising IAP prices. Is this even a game for kids anymore? Or is the publisher just aiming to milk money from the players? On top of that, long-standing bugs like server splits still haven't been fixed, and the emote menu isn't even categorized, making it incredibly cluttered and hard to navigate. Tons of bugs are just sitting there, unfixed and unchanged. It's absolutely terrible

I try to fly and I don’t hit the land button and it just makes me fall and walk on a cloud which gets me nowhere
Play the game but be aware
I posted this on steam but I play mostly on my phone so here you go. As someone who has played this game a little over 2 years the game is very time consuming and spending heavy. Im not sure for others, but to get 20 candles (grey candle and seen as the normal max as the 21 and 22 candle is very hard to get) takes a minimum of an hour. Every Single Day. Not including Dailies. On top of that, to get everything out of the seasons you need to buy the season pass. Ive spent over $2000 in the game so I know Im part of the issue, but it hurts f2p players a lot. If you don't have a friend that plays or are finding a cute game to really get committed too and don't get fomo easily please do play! Its a beautiful game and very well crafted stories, just know if you want cosmetics you need to save the candles you do get, swipe, or candle run everyday

I have been playing for 4+ years off and on. This is a beautiful game with motivational music. However that makes it an amazing manipulation machine.
The main goal is to collect in game currency so one can buy the various outfits. These outfits are mostly for a limited time. At least the ones everyone wants. The game mechanics come down to one of two things…burn something or sit around and wait for something to happen. These are very boring mechanics especially when repeated ad nauseam.
Gathering these in game currencies requires money out right or daily grinding at the time cost of 2 hours a day, low end. The repetitive nature is reminiscent of addiction behavior and Sky encourages it. Scratch that, they depend on it.
Sky wants you staring at their screen for as long as possible. Makes it easier to brainwash adults and kids to think this digital stuff is needed.
Beyond the above, the game is always in a state of disrepair. You can play but something is always broken. I don’t understand how every update comes with a bug, at this point they are features. Controls are delayed and I suspect this is done to hide signal lag.
Anyway I would suggest not playing cause it is a time and money drain.
The long distance digital relationships are fine but I don’t feel as if I have made a solid real friend. More like acquaintances that are specific to the game environment.
Long term I don’t think the investment I made was worth it. Buyer beware.
