These people know what they are doing when offering a free trial, this service is not worth it, they take advantage of busy people signing up for this and forgetting to cancel free trial!

They claim that you recieve a “3 day trial” before you have to pay, but they charge you on the third day for the entire year!

I needed an app that could transcribe voice notes uploaded from another device. This doesn’t appear to be one of CraftNote’s strong points. It missed a lot of words. It also did not separate speakers or add time stamps. I also found it difficult to download the transcript in docx and pdf. The app seemed to get hung up and went to a white screen without downloading. I cancelled subscription within an hour of downloading.
Useless App
Horrible app, horrible design. continuously trying to sell you the upgraded pro version without giving you chance to explore the features, because you’re being constantly barraged by pop ups trying to to get your cc info. Attempt to upload a video for transcription was continuously interrupted by these popups, and when I was finally able to choose a video to upload, it never did. literally spent days at 13%. Tried wifi, data, a different wifi, everything. ended up transcribing everything by hand in the time I spent closing out pop-ups for their pro product and waiting for the video to “process.” Don’t waste your time with this useless money grabbing scam.

Ridiculous. I recorded an entire meeting for it at the end to tell me I have to pay to see the summary. At the start it told me the free trial was free for 3 days.

WARNING - APPLE REFUSES TO REFUND
Do not bother with this app, or any other app for that matter - You’ll be charged $70, and Apple will not refund your money - It’s disgusting and should be illegal to take money from anyone who does not want your service or who can’t even use the service. I have to contest these charges through my credit card company now, APPLE is refusing to refund, even though when I saw the charge come through I immediately submitted a request for refund as I had no intention of using the app. I’m sure the app itself is fine, but to have a policy of just taking the money and telling someone who can’t use it - sorry we can’t refund you….. you’re not sorry - you’re $70 richer for a service you aren’t providing and that money you didn’t earn - that is what is called THEFT

Tried to force me to leave a 5 star review. Already off to a bad start. Then it tries to force you into a free trial that turns into a subscription. Pass. Tried to upload a video to transcribe and it didn’t work.

I downloaded this app to take notes during an important doctors appointment so i could have the transcript and notes. i wanted a free app and this is the first that came up but i need pro to access the transcript and the note summary. i wish i had known before so i could access the note.

You can’t even look at a summary or even the basic transcript without paying 10 dollars a week. Do not download, this only wasted my time
Predatory Billing, Prevents Trial Cancellation
Don’t even do it. I had to go through the app store to cancel the trial before it charged me $100. When I tried to do so through the app it gave a “discount” pop up that froze the app and prevented you from submitting a cancellation request. Don’t give them a dime.
1.5 hours of notes disappeared
Downloaded to try. Bombarded with pop ups to subscribe for free managed to wiggle through to get back to Home Screen to not be forced to subscribe.

Doesn’t save the recording!
This app is not reliable. Didn’t save my recording of a very important meeting. I may have close the app before properly stopping. Apparently there are very important steps to be taken . The phone cannot lock etc. Should have used the Apple reliable voice recording and only use this app to save it. I hate this app
False advertising. Misleading. Not Free.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Advertised itself on google as a “free video transcriber” but you literally cannot use a single one of the apps features without paying money. Ridiculously expensive also.
Tricky and deceitful
The app says you can have a three day trial and then after it would be a dollar and some change a week for the subscription when I went and downloaded the app it asked me to pay the $66 for the app yearly after the free trial, but it did not give me the payment option to pay for the The weekly subscription. It looks like you have to buy the year subscription but then when I went to download it, the app tried to charge my card $17 with no explanation of what that charge was for. Shady at best and not worth the time and energy

Misleading App - Charged Me Without Trial
This app scammed me. It showed that a free trial was available, but instead it charged me instantly for the most expensive yearly plan without warning. I didn’t even realize it was the same app I tried months ago. Apple refused the refund and said the developer is responsible, which is extremely frustrating. This overdrafted my student bank account and caused stress I did NOT deserve. Very deceptive and unfair. Do not trust this app.

So I figured I’d try it before I used it for something important and I had it do a 6 second voice recording transcribe it. Let me see one and a half phone screen worth of my note and then told me if I wanted to Access the rest of it I had to buy the pro even though on the main page, it says you have two free notes waste of time and money is a bummer but I do want to send you guys a bunch of love just not for your app. I love you.❤️🔥❤️🔥

This app did not meet my expectations at all I uninstalled after the first day when it recorded in a strange language . I have tried to get a refund to no avail ! Over 70$ for an app that did not work is ridiculous! And that I don’t use . Kindly refund my money
Took money but no subscription
Charged me for the pro subscription but won’t unlock any features. Keeps asking me to upgrade to a subscription even though I subscribed and paid. No in app help features.
Hard to cancel subscription
Literally tried to cancel my subscription and they make it impossible to do so. Still haven’t figured it out and there’s no button, so it has been extremely challenging to take care of. I don’t recommend unless you want a headache

I was offered $69.99/yr for PRO. I went to proceed but forgot to include the 3-day trial, so I did not authorize. I then got a pop-up offer from Craftnote for $49.99/year. I decided that would work, so I clicked accept within the window of opportunity. When I authorized a charge for $49.99, my notification said I was charged $89.98

DISHONEST TRASH
The app told me I get 2 free notes, each capped at 30 minutes. However you can’t do anything with the recording once they are in the app, no sharing, or transcribing unless you have the pro version. HONESTLY TRASH

My experience… did not capture note as well as expected…
I have dictated my notes to the APP in an attempt to have them compiled into a functional format.
In my experience, CraftNote left a good amount of important details out from my original dictation.
I’m sure it works for some of you however as for me, I will need to be better satisfied to make the decision of paying for the CraftNote yearly subscription.
