Paywall

I love this app but…
I used to love this app and used it for my 2 year old. When I downloaded it 2 years ago, it was $10 a year, now it’s $99 a year. Can we stop preying on moms just trying to do the right things for their babies. What’s with the greed?!
Sneaky
Not upfront about the cost. Makes you fill out lots of personal information before revealing that nothing is included for free on the app. That should be disclosed first before collecting data and creating accounts.
First Foods Database
As a free tier user I am grateful to have access to the First Foods Database, turns out it’s pretty convenient
Not what is was
Dumb that you have to pay for example videos now
Making Shady Changes
I use to love the app. I had purchased the All Access years ago and was told you would have access to everything. Now most things are behind a paywall. They said a purchase on the website does not give you access to the app even though the guides are the same. Dishonesty at its best. I not longer recommend to friends and family.
Clunky
This app makes nervous parent pay to use and then it doesn’t even work. I’ve added egg every day this week and it’s still on the not tried allergy list.
Paid subscription - app always crashes
Would love to use the app as its intended but it literally ceases every other time I open it
Not free
App is not free - misleading after it makes you gibe all your information. Then wants you to subscribe and pay. Sneaky!
Waste of Time
This app makes you create an account and profile for you and your baby, makes you answer a lot of questions, promises a lot of stuff, and then tells you that you have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription to use pretty much anything on the app. For one, this is ridiculous because you’re only going to use this app for a few months or maybe a year at most and then your baby will be eating regular food exactly how you make it anyway so this app will be useless then so obviously they’re just trying to get you to forget you have the subscription so they can keep taking your money even after you no longer need this app. For two, there is absolutely no reason to make people go through the whole process of creating accounts and profiles when you can do pretty much nothing without paying. Why not just tell people up front that they have to pay? It’s such a waste of time. After going through the account and profile making process, I can’t even mark if my child has tried a food or not without making an account. This app sounds like a great idea but sadly the people who need it most aren’t going to have access to it because the price is ridiculous and you can’t even do basic things without paying for the app. Don’t bother downloading this app. I’m sure there are free apps that will at least let you do the basics of what this app does which is all you need.
was great when free
i wish i knew why they put everything behind a paywall. was useful until it became an extremely expensive subscription. would recommend if you have a 6mo kid and want to use it for a year. still, you can get the same from a chatbot.
pay to use
can’t do anything without paying $20 a month. SCAM!
Cash grab and buggy app
This app sucks! I created an account and signed up for the 3 day free subscription. After signing up for the subscription, I was no longer able to sign back in to my account using my email and password. I tried to reset my password but it would not send me anything to my email. Seems like they are trying to just cash grab so you can’t cancel your subscription.
Login broken, does not sync across devices
There is some ok content available for free the paid version is such a disappointment especially given the price point!
My main complaints are:
1. The app syncs poorly across devices. So if I add a food or a note it is not visible on my partners phone sometimes for days and sometimes it never syncs.
2. I’m now not able to login. I was logged out and the app stopped recognising my password so I reset it only to find that I’m continually prompted to ‘try a different email or reset my password’ I reset and tried it about a dozen times, made sure everything is updated did all the usual trouble shooting. So now I’m permanently logged out of this useless app.

Useless unless you pay for it
Literally cannot do anything on the app unless you subscribe, and they don’t even tell you until after you give them all of your info and answer all their “doctor questions”. The info throughout this entire app can be easily learned via a google search, reading a book, or just asking AI. Definitely not worth $20 a month.
Paywalls
If you’re looking for a free source this would not be totally it. Yes there is some good info in this app but a GIANT portion of it is hidden by pay walls and I’m not paying $20 a month for an app as IMO that’s pretty expensive.
*RESPONSE* I’m well aware of X-ing out and navigating the database, you’re not understanding that in order to gain access to MANY other things in this app, including being able to click options under “meals with this ingredient”, being able to watch a video of preparation or how to feed to a baby - that it’s behind a paywall and the paywall isn’t super reasonably priced. $100 for the year or $20 a month is crazy. I don’t even spend $20 a month for any of my subscription apps including streaming apps. If the app was tiered better, and the monthly cost was so high I’d actually consider subscribing. You’re not listening to everyone when they are making you aware of the out of touch price point. All you do is tell them the food database is free and to just ignore when the app is telling you “hey you have to pay to access this”……

Baby-Led Weaning only
I reached out to support and they claim their app isn't only baby-led weaning, but it is what they recommend you do. Even their purée recipes say to let your baby feed themselves. They emailed me and said it was ultimately my decision, but their way is the best way. There are recipes for purées hence the 2 stars, but I wish they were more forthcoming in their approach for new moms.
I wish I could get my money back.

Everything is paying
Everything is paying
Multiple reasons
1. The app first asks users if it’s a “five star experience.” if so, it directs them to give a review here on the App Store if not it directs them to a website to write feedback privately.
2. Increasingly, they are putting basic information behind a subscription pay while not even just a one time charge. A monthly subscription. That I suspect many people will forget to cancel when their child is old enough to eat everything.

Family sharing through icloud doesn’t work
The app page says that certain parts of the app should work through family sharing. I am on the same icloud account as my spouse but the subscription is not being shared.
Extremely expensive
Seems like a great app with great information but to literally do anything in the app it’s $20 a month or $100 a year. This is EXTREMELY expensive for an app. Not even Netflix is this expensive.
