Don’t purchase
Typical buy the app then they want you to buy more for basic functions that should have came with the purchase.
In app purchase
I paid for the app via the App Store and was able to use it all of one time before I was being told by the app that an additional purchase of $5.99 was required to use it. My organization has locked in app purchases on our devices so I now have a useless app that I have paid for but can’t use. Thanks for nothing.
Locking a free feature
Have the app on another device now it’s asking me to pay again for the same feature an additional 6 dollars
Uploads don’t work.
Great concept, but only if you can upload the photos to be used by other programs.
Only saves half your photos
I used to love this App but now it’s only saving half of the photos I take. Now I have to repeat work I have already done.
Don’t spend your money
The app has a great potential but no matter what you want to do, it just wants extra money. For everything!!!!!
You are sticker with a 4:3 photo format and the quality is not the highest your phone can deliver. If you use it, resolution of that picture taken in the app is lower than all your other pictures resolution.

Doesn’t always work
Out of several photos, only about half actually had the overlay placed on them. More than worthless, actually adds time as I now need to crop photos with the overlay. Waste of money.
oh wow...
Burns me up when developers stop supporting apps with normal progression updates, then want to “charge” for “enhancements”.
I realize developers have to eat, but so do I. Why can’t these people just develop their product - make it a GOOD product, and have its self sold on it’s own developed enhanced merit?

Scaling issue on iPhone 12 mini
The camera shutter buttons are off the bottom of the screen so you are unable to take photos.
Good App - Bad Updates
I’ve used this app daily for 2 years for my job and the first year it was great. This past year though there have been multiple, buggy updates that have rendered the app useless! John will provide a TestFlight app to help you, but the real question is why are all these buggy app updates even being released? I’m tired of opening an app I paid for; upgraded to pro; and worked for a year to find it no longer works or I have to install test software. John, get your act together and please implement proper device testing before releasing to Apple. Shame on you sir!!!
Don’t update
I use this app for work, but since the update cannot use on my iPhone. Unable to hit buttons, or change settings. Probably easy fix
Terrible update
After the update, the screen is too low- I can’t access the settings, or touch the button to take a picture. Who thought this was a good idea???
I paid for this app!
I paid for this app!
Latest update is crap
None of the buttons are available to use
What used to operate perfect is now useless crap
What used to operate perfect is now useless crap
Update...
New update pushed the photo button partially off screen on my iPhone 8... worthless
App updated
Can only see half of the shutter button and everything else on the bottom of the screen and nothing works
Newest Update
The latest update made the camera unusable
Bait and switch
Pay .99c to get the app and realize it won’t do what you want it to do without paying another 3.99 once you download.
‘Hey, order a sandwich kit for 1$’
‘Here’s a dollar!’
‘Here’s a couple slices of bread’
‘Where’s the meat?’
‘Oh, that’s an extra 3.99’
‘What am I going to do with this bread?!’
‘Bread is edible’
‘But I ordered a sandwich!’
-Irritated

Saves images at non hd low quality vs full Iphone res
Waste of time app, as the images saved by this app are 1000 x 800 resolution (very low res/quality ~1MP), versus the standard iPhone 7 resolution of 4000 x 5000 (12MP+). Thus the images aren’t very useful, and there is no way to change the setting in the app. I’ve reached out to type developer 3 weeks ago, no response received.
The 99 cents price is just a hook up.
I paid .99 cents for what I thought was a full feature app. But If you want all the features you have to pay extra for it. Very deceiving!
BUYERS BEWARE - App Needs Major Update
Absolute garbage. The other people writing reviews haven't used this app as much as I have. Otherwise they would not have rated it 5 stars.
Simply because it has too flaws to be an app for purchase. It's in desperate need of a major update to address it's many issues.
First off, it's a major memory hog! I feel bad for 16GB or 32GB iPhone owners.
This app will slow down your iPhone and make it crash.
If you used allot, you'll notice even if you delete all 3 photos it generates, somehow, somewhere they remain on your iPhone. This app is currently consuming 6.3GB of memory, even though all photos associated with it are deleted.
Apple's IOS does't allow anyone to delete data for individual apps like Android does.
Also, this app doesn't take advantage of iPhone's full camera abilities. Most often, the app needs to be reset because the lux on the camera doesn't properly adjust, and the makes your photo ultra white, or too dark. Lame.
The developer also likes to play games with the user. Every few seconds it wants you to recalibrate, bringing up a screen that tells you to twist your arms and body like your doing a dance, trying to fill the circle. Lame.
Also, why does the app constantly ask for access to cellular data?? Fishy.
Even if all the extra add ons are disabled, this app still still wants to access gps, WiFi,
cellular data and forces recalibration and doesn't simply act as a photo timestamp act, which only requires time. Lame.
Apple needs to vet their developer's apps more thoroughly, and shouldn't allow money to be claimed unless it's updated and problems are addressed.
I've already typed too much and haven't mentioned everything. BUYERS BEWARE. Not worth buying if you using it for work or a project that requires lots of photos over time.

Camera control
Ok app. Wish that they would enable iPhone users to be able to use the camera control button to snap picture on the iPhone. It would be helpful. Reached out to support last October and still have yet to hear back.
Great app but you’ll lose all your saved photos if you ever have to wipe your phone
I’ve been using this app since 2017 for taking work photos and had 32gb of past projects saved in the app. Last night my phone bugged out and had to be wiped. I made sure this app was selected for iCloud backup, did a full iCloud backup of my phone, wiped the phone, and restored. Photos from the app never came back, and either did the apps settings. I reached out to the developer, but was told that feature hasn’t been implemented due to other features being prioritized. I now have 8 years of photos gone and can’t come back. My work requires me to use this app or I’d find another one because of this. App has been great otherwise, but I can’t get over this glaring issue and thought you should all know.
Not good for iPhone 16
Doesn’t work great with iPhone 16. Takes 15-30 seconds for the photo to capture. And when you hold it still it jumps between lenses
Front camera bug
The front facing camera will not open until you first open the rear facing camera.
Update made labeling measurements difficult
I used to put in factional measurements, since (I’m assuming update) then I can only use a decimal and write out what units. Basically the use of /‘“,. Plus others is no longer possible. If you can make it so I can write 1/8” instead of .125 inches. I’ll change my rating to 5 star.
Exported photos missing date/time stamp
I’m using an iPhone 8 with the latest iOS update. I noticed the date/time stamps missing after uploading photos to my computer. All the other info is still stamped. Looks like the date/time stamps are omitted when the app saves them to the iPhone’s Camera Roll, while the stamp is not missing when viewing photos from the gallery of the app itself. This issue is affecting many of my colleagues as well. This is a critical issue disallowing us further use of Solocator, and would be a huge bummer to have to move away from this app entirely.
Missing photos not saved
It’s a great app use for work... missing half of the photos I took yesterday. WTH
Bug with new update
I can no longer hit the take picture button or the settings to change watermark. Always has worked great in past but now is useless
Solocator Bug stops you dry
Until the developer can address the issue of not being able to take photos, don’t download program. Until recently this app worked perfectly. Then today, I opened up program and the button was too far down on the bottom of the screen which wouldn’t allow you to take a photo. I tried to delete and reinstall; I asked another person to download the app and it wouldn’t work on their iPhone either.
Overlay
I can not change my Water Mark, Overlay! Will not let me input information now? Was working wonderful.
