I have had Sonos speakers for years and the rearchitecture that they did a couple years ago, had caused the speakers to incredibly unreliable. They glitch out in the middle of songs, does not work well with Spotify or Apple Music. It’s incredibly frustrating.
Mentally challenged app
Very user unfriendly app. Every single time will want you to log in. Every couple of days the app wants to update. If you have speakers at multiple locations (home and work). The system literally goes speechless and panics while phone switches from one WiFi to another one.
Terrible App, Great Hardware
I don’t think I would have purchased any Sonos products, despite how great the hardware sounds, if I had any idea what a buggy mess the app is. Drops connectivity to external music apps randomly, presents “failure to play track” all the time, Sonos stations are a joke and contain ads despite the price of the hardware. Really, really disappointing stuff.
As bad as it gets
Sonos app has never worked properly. What’s it been 10 years now that users have issues connecting that you refuse to fix or acknowledge. Throwing everything I ever purchased that says Sonos on it in the trash where it has belonged since the day I bought it.

Ever since the new release, I’ve only had issues with my entire Sonos system, until a couple of weeks ago it started working every speaker all the time… Fast forward to today when they made another “update” and once again, I have speaker speakers in the house that shut off randomly and half won’t work.. this once great system is relegated to a POS paperweight with every update…
Sporadic connection
Connection to speakers is sporadic at best. Repair person says he has same issue. What’s up with that?
BUGS
This app used to be so good. “Upgrades” over the last two years have made it almost unusable! (Stops responding. Volume controls unusable at low levels. Can’t find stuff…)
I have to switch to Apple Airplay often because this app just won’t work. You’ll see they never respond to reviews like this. They have built an ecosystem such that users cannot afford to switch so they don’t seem to care. They don’t fix the problems they’ve created. I’ve invested a lot in Sonos. CAN YOU PLEASE FIX THE APP.

Not compatible with APPLE MUSIC
The Sonos app has been nothing but trouble with Apple Music. It constantly freezes, fails to load playlists and every time there s an app update, the situation only seems to get worse

Need a better system for reconnecting band syncing my Sonos system, I spend multiple days trying to solve connection issues sometimes,it’s dreadful and I wouldn’t buy again had I known

Says “update require sign in” > so I do > then says “you are not signed in as account owner” > uh… ya I am!

Most user unfriendly app and device I’ve ever had. If I hadn’t spent so much money on it, I would’ve thrown it in the garbage.
The app is so so bad
That’s the review. It’s so so bad. Restart. Reinstall. Speakers not recognized. Speakers not found. Restart the router. Something went wrong. Hard reset. Soft restart. Unplug. Add. Re-add. Reinstall. Restart your device. Reconnect your speakers. Something went wrong.
Rinse and repeat in the same frustrating loop.
Trash app for such fantastic speakers I get to hear only if the stars align. I can’t believe it’s this bad. I would have invested in an entirely different sound ecosystem had I known.

Drop drop drop
Music constantly drops. Sometimes one speaker and then another back and forth. Sonos will tell you there is interference on your network but all the other devices on my network have zero issues running without dropping constantly. Oh wow it just dropped while I’m writing this review. It’s remarkable that Sonos still exists. Stay far away from this product.
Sans 1st ~15sec
Nobody wants to hear the first ~15 seconds of their favorite song anyway. Super glitchy. 8yr user here who suffers Sonos b/c I love to hate it.

Good sound but over complicated
I like the sound for the size of the speaker. It really fills the room. It is really frustrating setting up. Connecting my record player made me question my life choices.

Please allow direct streaming on Sonos devices from my iPhone music app.
Absolutely Frustrating
Why they can fix the connectivity issue is absolutely puzzling to me. Too much fiddling to keep everything connected. Here today, gone tomorrow. Keep reconnecting, resetting , fiddling, still disappears and intermittent, despite trying every recommendation . Stay away from the ecosystem, especially if you have a modern wifi network
