I downloaded shows for my flight, and now that I’m in the air, the app is demanding I "login" to see my downloads. How am I supposed to login in airplane mode? Total garbage implementation. Fix your offline mode or stop charging for it.
Worst App
Paid to be premium. However, because I have Tata Play, they auto-downgraded. No app does it, the product team must be fired. Very bad. Worst experience. Now unable to watch 4k after paying for Premium and also ads appearing. If you even open from Tata Play, it’s automatically downgraded.
Misinformation
Nothing in the App Store indicates that the content is Hindi related only that it’s a Sony channel. I signed up for a year only to find this out and realize that I will never watch this channel. I am US citizen and was looking to enhance my TV watching experience on my Sony TV. I’m unable to get a refund of the annual subscription that I paid when not provided accurate info on the App Store.

Dont buy
This application and website does not have current shows only has shows with a delay of 2 years old. I tried to contact them they didn't know what to do. When sent message to there internal contact us link kept getting different answers.

Audio safety issue
Volume automatically increases to very high when next episode auto plays. When watching at home or using headphone, sound suddenly increases automatically.

Cannot restore purchase
I renewed monthly Sony liv subscription for $49.99. And for some reason I was logged out, after logging in and after trying to restore my purchase it’s giving me error that they can’t find any purchase.
I have been charged yearly subscription fee of $49.99 in May 2025. I can still see Sony live active in my subscription (till May 2026).
I am requesting to either fix the issue or refund my money)

Terrible resolution and bit rate
I wanted to watch rocket boys in the US and paid $8 for the monthly subscription. The resolution and bit rate is garbage. I watched season 1 on a plane and it had video quality levels a dozen times better. The video playback looks like 480p from 2010. How is this acceptable on a paid streaming service?

I’m not sure what’s the problem or where in the development pipeline they are right now.
1. They do not have an app for Samsung Smart TVs (T-PTMLDAKUC-1301.1)
2. Screencast never identifies devices on the same network
3. No support for Apple Airplay

Very useless
When you watch a series or a tv show it doesn’t show you the episodes when connected to the tv. It has a lot of other issues. Being this much famous in all over the world they should hire someone professional for developing their app. I’m so sorry for them.

Horrible streaming Apple TV app
This is the worst streaming quality I have seen in any platform. It takes long time to pickup quality after starting watching video. And after that it constantly drops quality to unwatchable level (like 320p) all the time. And if I happen to forward the streaming the quality is lost again for another 5 minutes until it improves for another 5 mins and then drops again. I can’t belie how can a corporate engineering team do such a bad. Horrible horrible horrible!!!!!!! I wasted my money big time for a year. I should ask for a refund.

App not available on Roku or Samsung TV and then the cast function doesn’t work either from iPhone. Paid money only to not be able to even watch anything on my TV! Ridiculous.

Worst streaming on Apple TV
None of the videos play at 1080p. No matter what internet speed connected via Ethernet. Every other streaming services work flawlessly even with 4K. But this Sony Liv is worst streaming platform on Apple TV. Videos play at 360p or best at 540p. All apps and Apple TV is updated.
