Can't shutoff "AI assistant"
This apps appears to be designed to offer the minimal amount of useful features, while attempting to extract as much personal data out of your phone as possible. It got worse with Soundcore's pseudo "AI assistant" that requires unfedered access to your microphone, but at least soundcore is good enough to tell you that they'll be selling off your personalized information to the highest bidder. Their hardware is fine, but this app has convinced me never to buy another Soundcore product again.

Ever since their last update it is neigh impossible for the app to connect to the headphones. The headphones connect to my phone just fine, and work as they used to, however any features that were controlled in-app are now inaccessible. This all changed with the last update (which added in some ai functions, which I don’t need nor use) and following advice from customer service did nothing to solve the issue. Any way I can get the old version back? Please?

Price and quality don’t match
At first they were amazing! My partner is a super loud snorer. After a few months, the volume went way down, the snore making stopped and noise cancellation also stopped. No matter what trouble shooting I did, nothing helped.

A perfectly nice app for my headphones that now got loaded down with some sort of AI features that I do not want. The app’s redesign has made it harder for me to find the features I do want to use. Would you please at least make it possible to opt out of the AI so that I don’t have to keep rejecting the app’s requests to agree to data sharing for AI purposes?

To use the app you need to agree to give up your data to third-parties with an unnecessary AI bow on top. Wouldn’t be surprised if the next update will be a paid subscription for the app that will brick your devices if you don’t comply.

Has gotten worse with every update
The app just keeps getting worse. Now you can’t even duplicate or import EQ profiles, so make sure you don’t mess anything up because everything you tweak is permanent and irreversible. You have to wait for an ad to finish playing when you open the app. And it comes with a Siri knockoff that nobody asked for
Forced Ad
This app required to adjust my earbud’s settings just displayed a mandatory ad. You can’t skip it for 5 seconds. In an age of technology products getting worse, I can’t trust a hardware maker going down this path.

There is no opt-out inside the app - it’s accept or lose functionality you already paid for.
This is not okay. Hardware features should not be held hostage behind a data-sharing agreement. If I wanted a product that monetizes my data, I would have bought one knowingly. Until Soundcore separates app functionality from third-party data sharing, I cannot recommend these products.

Impossible to Connect to the App
My Space Q45 headphones are able to connect via Bluetooth to my iPhone. However, it’s close to impossible to get it to connect to the soundcore app. I’ve done everything from reseting my headphones, deleting the app, and forgetting my headphones on my Bluetooth settings. I’ve only managed to connect my headphones to the app twice. I’m very disappointed in this app because the headphones themselves are great. It’s just so frustrating following the right steps to pair the device with the application yet it still doesn’t work.

The app now forces you to watch an as before utilizing its features. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I paid for your damn earbuds. You're not going to make me watch an ad to calibrate them. If you do not stop this I will buy new earbuds and never buy soundcore products again.
Poor connection
Kind of a useless app for their speakers. Basically only used for firmware updates but that’s even a struggle since the app refuses to recognize that the speaker is paired and says to go to settings to pair it. It worked once long enough to get the last firmware in. Now it won’t connect at all. Also shows incorrect battery level.

Gotten … Buggy?
This app is always there when in need it… when I’m using my earbuds. However, my headphones somehow lost the ability to be found. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it and that worked for one night; the next night it couldn’t new found again. Why? I verified multiple times that the Bluetooth connection between my phone and headset was solid. Multiple times.

They added some “features” like AI slop and a fake social to suck up data. Absolutely revolting. Opens an opportunity for someone from the Anker product team to quit and put out a new app that does what it’s supposed to for the user.
Soundcore work won’t pair
I’ve downloaded the most recent soundcore app with update only six days ago onto an iPhone. Followed the instructions, read the manual online. It will not pair. There’s no set up manually option as instructions state. Deleted, re-installed app still won’t pair. No clear instructions to reach out for tech-support. expensive device to not be working.
I don't need or want more AI slop in my headphones.
I've always sworn by this brand of headphones for their quality and the accessibility of their mobile app, but no more. I do not want more slop in my headphones. I don't want my headphones to have the processing power to understand what I'm saying. I just want to listen to music and talk privately on the phone or in game chats. If I wanted to dabble in LLM slop or use a translator, I would download one of the many apps that already exist for that exact purpose. It would be one thing if there was an opt-out or if it was easy to simply downgrade the app to a prior version, but alas, I'm now stuck with this garbage.

This app just added an AI assistant and has started sending push notification ad spam in clear violation of app store rules. Why would I ever want an AI assistant in my sleep headphones?
Bad quality
Don’t waste your money on these earphones. They’re super glitchy and only last until the warranty ends. I have had 3 pairs. All the same. Just stick with Apple, Sony or Bose (specially for sleepphones).
