Kind of a useless app for their speakers. Basically only used for firmware updates but that’s even a struggle since the app refuses to recognize that the speaker is paired and says to go to settings to pair it. It worked once long enough to get the last firmware in. Now it won’t connect at all. Also shows incorrect battery level.

Gotten … Buggy?
This app is always there when in need it… when I’m using my earbuds. However, my headphones somehow lost the ability to be found. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it and that worked for one night; the next night it couldn’t new found again. Why? I verified multiple times that the Bluetooth connection between my phone and headset was solid. Multiple times.

If I had known I would have to download an app and jump through a bunch of hoops to create an account just to be able to use the basic functionality of the earphones, I would never have bought them. What a nuisance.

They added some “features” like AI slop and a fake social to suck up data. Absolutely revolting. Opens an opportunity for someone from the Anker product team to quit and put out a new app that does what it’s supposed to for the user.
Soundcore work won’t pair
I’ve downloaded the most recent soundcore app with update only six days ago onto an iPhone. Followed the instructions, read the manual online. It will not pair. There’s no set up manually option as instructions state. Deleted, re-installed app still won’t pair. No clear instructions to reach out for tech-support. expensive device to not be working.

I've always sworn by this brand of headphones for their quality and the accessibility of their mobile app, but no more. I do not want more slop in my headphones. I don't want my headphones to have the processing power to understand what I'm saying. I just want to listen to music and talk privately on the phone or in game chats. If I wanted to dabble in LLM slop or use a translator, I would download one of the many apps that already exist for that exact purpose. It would be one thing if there was an opt-out or if it was easy to simply downgrade the app to a prior version, but alas, I'm now stuck with this garbage.

The app functions, but is really just a means for data harvesting and advertisements. I really don’t need an advertisement for a product/s that I already own and have registered with and use via the app. It could be a much better experience.

This app just added an AI assistant and has started sending push notification ad spam in clear violation of app store rules. Why would I ever want an AI assistant in my sleep headphones?
Bad quality
Don’t waste your money on these earphones. They’re super glitchy and only last until the warranty ends. I have had 3 pairs. All the same. Just stick with Apple, Sony or Bose (specially for sleepphones).

This it's terrible. Bought these because the app shown was beautifully designed. Received the headphones today and downloaded the app to start set up. What on earth happened? This AI feature hogs up space, there is no apparent way to turn it off, and it is totally unnecessary for an earbuds management tool!
Bad user experience
I’m unable to redeem my points for the $5 Amazon gift card. As soon as I reached 1,000 points, the redemption option disappeared.
This is extremely disappointing and misleading. After 16 years of user experience, I feel deceived. As a result, I will be leaving a one-star review on both the Apple App Store and Trustpilot, discontinuing use of the application, and I will not purchase any of your products again.

This app does not need AI chat.
All this app should be doing is controlling your headphones or speaker. Why on earth would it need an AI chatbot??? Tired of the slop, I already bought your headphones now shut up, thanks.
Not connecting to R50i NC

Does this really need AI???
Had to reinstall this app after it had been offloaded from disuse. Super disappointed to discover that the app is now over 600MBs and has AI.
Hopefully the headphones work well enough without the app, because that’s enough to make me uninstall it.

Not a fan of AI features
They updated the app recently and included a bunch of new “AI features”. It makes me want to uninstall immediately but they’ve also made it so that I need to use this app in order to keep my headphones working with the phone. Not a fan at all. Please reconsider your user base and stop trying to shoehorn in “features” that no one wants or needs.
Terrible
Avoid. The interface constantly changes. It's hard to find the audio you used on previous nights so you have to get up in the wee middle of the night and figure out how the app works. Avoid this product like the plague it is. Why isn't there a single button I can press to start whatever sound I want. Garbage app.

Why did yall add ai, it's such a useless feature?? I'm actually so sick of this it was bad enough to need this stupid app in the first place. Good job making it worse by adding AI, I'll never buy another product from y'all again.
