So far behind the competition
This app is miserable to use when compared to YouTube Tv, HBO Max, Peacock, Hulu, Disney +, ESPN, or even Tubi. Slow load times. Constantly glitches and pauses itself or closes the video stream. No play/pause button when in the app. App starts content muted if your phone is on silent, even if you have headphones in. Temporarily shows channels as “unavailable” and asks you to contact spectrum if there’s a two-second network issue. Even how they deal with too many devices streaming at once is ridiculous compared to YouTube Tv- forces someone who is already watching to get kicked off instead of not allowing the new person to hop on. Just an all around horrible app experience when compared to the competition. It feels like using windows 98 to watch videos when everyone else is using a Mac from 2026.

Would give a zero if possible. Gives 0 channels while I’m away. Confusing lay out. Terrible quality, makes everything 100x more difficult than it needs to be. I am 100% convinced they botted their reviews up to 4.5 stars.
Sign in after continuously crashing
This app is great if you love having to continuously sign in when the app crashes constantly. Three times today in the last half hour.

Disrespectful
The only reason I continue to use Spectrum is because my room mate pays for it in our house. He doesn’t much like it, but right now the price is edging out the competition. Spectrum is totally disrespectful of the choices as to how you want to run your internet. If you seek security and safety and use a VPN, Spectrum will not tolerate you choosing to do so while trying to use their services at the same time and will shut you down telling you to disconnect your VPN. Having Spectrum should not mean you have to bend the knee to their fears of controlling your internet preferences. VPNs are a thing and Spectrum needs to get over theirselves.
Below average app
I’ve reported this through Feedback a couple of years ago, but nothing has changed. I elected to sort by Channel Number instead of channel name on the phone app. However, they are not listed numerically throughout. They bounce back and forth between lower channels and upper channels. You would think they start at 01 and go all the way to 2200 in order but that’s not how they’re listed. You can be in the 40’s then suddenly you’re in the 2100’s then back to 400’s, etc. very annoying!!!!!!!!!
You think maybe you could number in chronological order?
Also it would be helpful if you could skip to a range of numbers like it used to work years ago instead of scanning up or down.

This is probably the worst app I have ever had pay enough for device and I am unable to watch anything always drop or rrro message
Streaming sports is horrible
Good luck watching a sporting event with out freeze ups or buffering, signed up for spectrum TV for the World Cup, the app just crashing out or buffers the whole time full cell bars and wifi , interface is slow. Canceling my cell service and tv with spectrum!
Unreliable
The app is always stalling, at least every 10-15 minute. Im attached to my Spectrum wi-fi & I still have to reset the app continuously. Its terrible.

Spectrum is #1 at Annoying Customers
Spectrum has found yet another way to annoy customers. I frequently find myself in a position where Spectrum is tying to push their own news and weather channel on me even though I never actually view that channel. Why does
spectrum run that channel anyways? They are running a news and weather channel that is not needed, there are plenty of equivalent choices.
The costs of running that needless operation are passed onto me, driving up my cable costs.

Spectrum should put a preference into their app that disables those ads. I don't need to continually get ads for HBO MAX when I've already signed up for that.

What’s the point
What’s the point of this app when you can’t watch most channels when not home. Kind of defeats the point of a mobile app if you can’t use it while being mobile.
How to sing in?
I’m trying to sign in for the first time but there’s only a sign in button so I can’t login to make my first account and it keeps saying it doesn’t match it’s records like I’m even on it. I’m trying to download it so I can start watching it zero stars.

Missed World Cup
Pushing a forced update mid-game during the World Cup is a horrible user experience. My stream cut out with zero warning. Push these overnight when the TV is off!
Worst App
Spectrum TV app is by far the worst app on my Apple TV. It has lots of content, but is blurry half the time with live tv broadcasts. Use any other app for live streaming.
Never Works
This app never works. It always logs me out and when I’m away from home it never lets me log back in. Now I’m home and on my spectrum internet and it won’t connect

Thanks a bunch. You updated the app today and now I get absolutely no video at all. I hear audio but can’t see a darned thing on any channel. You turned my TV into a radio. Great job, Spectrum. SMH
Constantly Timing Out

This app used to work, now all I get for days now is the service is down, wait and try again later. Two days later it still doesn’t work. My home tv lost all tv channel listings, took almost two hours to chat online to fix that problem, but of course I had to go through this AI automated system that was no help first

I had the app it has always worked but the last 3 days it just sits and spins - not opening- so I deleted it then downloaded the Spectrum TV App again- it just sits and spins - does not open WHY??

Absolutely Unwatchable
Attempting to watch On Demand content has become completely unbearable. There are ads every 5 minutes and you’re forced to repetitively watch the same god awful ad for a phone game for 2:30 each time. Spectrum has completely sold itself out to its advertisers and couldn’t care less about its customers or their experience. I will not be using their service ever again.

Can’t watch channels on my app that I could before the update and i have not changed a thing, constantly freezes and won’t open half the time. This app is the worst streaming app I have ever used. It is incredibly buggy and slow. One of the most frustrating aspects is that it does not keep track of episodes that you’ve watched. Sometimes it shows what episodes you’ve watched, but, by and large, it does not. It also does not notify you when you have a new episode in a series that you are watching. Your saved shows don’t always show all of the shows that you saved. Like some are just not there and you have to search for them every time you want to watch them. shocking that the app is rated as high as it is given that it is complete garbage… I mean at the end of the day, you get your live tv and you can watch shows on demand. You just have to remember which shows you are watching and what episodes you’re on.
WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND
This is the worst cable I have ever had. The DVR does not work 90% of the time. It does not record and you can not view your scheduled recordings. I called customer service and they said I should call daily to report my struggles. I said I have a job and she said if it was important I would make time. My bill goes up all the time for some reason or another. I am actively looking for another provider.

This is probably the WORST streaming app I’ve ever used! It is actually impossible to watch a sporting event without the picture, going blurry and
pixelated, and then the wheel starts spinning and picture freezes indefinitely. You have to quit the game, go back in and it picks up live and you’ve missed part of the game. This happens at least 10 times per game whatever I watch whether it’s baseball or hockey on spectrum. It’s garbage.
