Robot
I think
There is a robocall set up on one of the places I am trying to book. I answer the text immediately when I get it and there is never anything available
.very disappointing. I can’t get the alert even if I am on my phone at the time. Something needs to be done.

I’m getting alerts for restaurants I didn’t sign up for
When I first downloaded the app, I was logged in under someone else’s email! I didn’t realize it right away, so I deleted some alerts - I’m sorry if I messed up someone else’s! As soon as I realized, I logged out and set up my own account. I’m now logged in under my email and with only one restaurant at Disneyland - but I’m receiving notifications for Disney World restaurants! This is a mess, I’m glad I didn’t pay and I’m deleting it right away.
Not great
Have been waiting 60 days. Was alerted twice already gone by the time I got my email in. Don’t believe this is a reliable source.
Worthless app
If I could give zero stars I would. Even if you pay for the app and act immediately, you never get the reservation it’s always gone before you apply. Just another app taking your money with promises of increased chances for dining.
Didn’t notify me of an available time
I had an active stakeout for a dinner reservation and had no notifications. I just happened to check Disney reservations and got my requested time. I’ve used stakeout in the past with good results, but this experience has not been good. I had paid the $9.99 for multiple choices and got no notifications except the initial “nothing available right now” text.
App doesn’t work
App doesn’t seem to format for iPhone 14. You can’t click the x to remove the latest pop up about the concierge. When using the app before this issue, there were also formatting issues on other pages.
I regret paying for this
I really regret paying for the concierge dining reservation. I’ve been trying to get a res at a popular restaurant for weeks and I was always too late, but the other free internet servers were at least quick on notifications. I found this app and thought that maybe if they used a bot to quickly grab a reservation when it opened, they would snag it faster than me, but it doesn’t even alert me when there’s an opening.
I did the account linking thing that it said to do but it’s 100% not working and now this weird app has access to my account/ credit card info and I still have no dining reservations. I have to go back to waiting for updates from the others services and panicking while trying to reserve again

Will not read your notes
Difficult to get ahold of a human representative. Will completely disregard your notes and book against your wishes.
Concierge Service Doesn’t work
After paying for the app looks like the concierge service doesn’t work. Gives me a prompt to “Go to Account Settings”….when I tap on it nothing happens. Don’t know where to go or what to do from here.
Stakeout waste of time
When placing a reservation request, it sends you an open reservation alert during the night then when you check it, it is not available. why does it not place and hold that reservation when available per stakeout request times entered. Call waste of time.
Second time didn’t notify me it was available on the time I checked it wasn’t

Reservation notices
This app is absolutely horrible. It’s completely useless and garbage. Don’t even bother downloading. I found this out the hard way. After getting tons of notifications for a restaurant that’s booked out 6-8 weeks out but this app constantly pings me about availability and of course each time I take a look there’s nothing available.
No good
One of the worst ones it notifies you late and by the time u get there the space is gone. My cousin used another application and he already got 2 reservation he wanted.!!!!!
I want a refund
Get MouseDining instead. In a 24 hour period I got like 50 alerts form MouseDining and got Space 220, Ohana, Cinderellas, etc.
Stakeout? One single alert in that same period.
I had all the same times and restaurants listed. Stakeout is a scam and I want my money back.

Uses mouse alerts
Don’t waste your $$$&
Doesn’t work quickly enough.
I signed up for three different alert services for our upcoming Disney World trip. From the other two services, I’ve had multiple alerts PER DAY that never even come through from Stakeout. I’ve had 1 or 2 alerts total from Stakeout in 4 days, while I am getting 5+ alerts per day from the other services!!! Stakeout is NOT the way to get your reservations.
No help
I cannot for the life of me ever get something. I get the alert and immediately click it and log in and it’s gone- “sorry for the paws” total waste of money.
Zero notifications
I’ve received multiple notifications from MouseDining (free) for available reservations and 0 from this paid app for the same times I’m watching in both. Very disappointed that I wasted money thinking this might work better. Save your money and use MouseDining for free.
So far a bust

Not notified immediately
I’m frustrated because I get notified, but it will say the reservation became available “16 minutes ago” or “13 minutes ago.” The reservation is long gone by the time I get notified.
I also paid for the limited subscription which gives you 5 stakeouts. Every time I open the app, one or more of those stakeouts have been turned off and I have to turn them back on. I have definitely not gotten my $15 worth.

For one full year, Stakeout would cost you $120/$240 where competitors will give you similar plans for $80 and $90 a year.
I do like the fact that Stakeout can alert you to many Disney experiences in addition to dining reservations, however it’s not enough for me to justify the higher price over other apps and services that deliver the same results.
I would consider subscribing for one month when I feel it’s needed… but I’m going to choose a yearly plan with a different app/company for my primary needs for Disney alerting.
Pricing is a huge turn off since Stakeout does not provide any value greater than their competitors which are much more reasonably priced.

Something seems off
I subscribed to a premium plan about a month ago right after my family decided to book a last minute Disney trip. We clearly missed the 60 day mark to make reservations…(don’t worry, I learned my lesson). I wanted to try and snag at least one special dinner for the family, so I read all the amazing reviews on stakeout and was super excited and hopeful about the possibility of getting a reservation.
I’m glued to my phone for work, so as soon as a Stakeout notification comes through to me, most of the time, I am clicking on it immediately. It’s almost become a game to see how fast I can get through it. I haven’t successfully gotten a reservation yet. I fully understand that it’s not possible for me to get every one-I realize there are others like me who are also glued to their phones and play the game too. BUT it just seems strange to me that sometimes I’m in the reservation area within three seconds and the reservations are already gone. Almost like I’m getting notifications for reservations that don’t actually exist, OR Disney planners have managed to figure out a work-around to snag them within one second, not three?….(not my disney planner though 😭).
Listen, if you are one of the lucky ones who are getting reservations on this app, I am genuinely impressed. You’re Lightning McQueen status! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 👏🏼 Do I think this app is for the casual phone user who checks their phone once an hour? Definitely not. Save your $10.
We have about 4 days until we arrive at Disney so I’m still holding out hope for at least one reservation. I will happily update my review if I feel like maybe I’m judging this app too soon and it becomes easier as we get closer to the actual date.
The last thing that I want to mention to anyone reading this review…my family is going to Disney during a big spring break week. That may explain the competition that I’m experiencing on this app right now so I truly want to be fair to the app developers here and say if it is because of that, my experience may not be an accurate representation of what you may experience during non peak seasons. Right now however, I feel like I’m competing against thousands of Lighting McQueens and I’m just not as fast as I think I am.
