Ever since the newest update I can’t do anything without the app freezing and having to restart it. It’s bad when the central part of your app, the trading part in your name, freezes almost everytime you go into it. Restrting the app isn’t always a fix either. This is a card trader app you can’t reliably trade on.
App needs to be rewritten
I am leaving the app due to the bugs. It locks you out of trading and then locks up completely. Reinstalling does not help and risks your cards. I’m on the latest iPad and iPhone with the latest update. Wasted money.
Fix the trade crashing issue
This newest update is awful. Every time you go to the trade screen the app freezes up and it crashes. It’s awful.
Glitches and lack of support
The app prevents a fun experience from constant glitches, time outs and lock ups especially while trading. Not worth your time and definitely not worth the frustration. No customer support at all.
Rarely works
This app started off great, unfortunately it has gone down hill since with multiple bugs, crashes, screen freezes and so on. And yes I deleted and reinstalled with the same results.
PULL THIS APP FROM THE APP STORE!! Not worthy of anything
As others have pointed out. The app is super non-intuitive. Combine that with deceiving odds that DO NOT MATCH SAID ODDS. Sets are constantly recycled images with different borders. The creative well has officially run dry. Why the devs decided to redo this app, which was completely unnecessary, is now the death of the app. After this review,Im deleting the app. You guys sucked the fun right out. Bottom line is, this app has turned into nothing but a cash grab for Topps. Save your money and your frustration. This company is the epitome of a horrible business model.

Lost my whole collection
I was playing for awhile spend a lot of money on this app signed up knowing I’ll probably delete it for space come back and all my cards were wiped clean hundreds of dollars wasted

I’ve enjoyed this app since its release but the new experience has been incredibly frustrating. The app crashes frequently to the point of almost hanging up iOS which is saying something. I like the concept of the design but it’s needs refinement and the workbench really needs work so you know which cards are needed as a count vs seeing everything as single cards. Topps - figure out how to test better, happy to beta test but limiting all purchases until this is usable.
New UI is AWFUL
I used to love how simple and easy it was to purchase cards. Now I’m getting carpal tunnel trying to click everywhere. The text is so small you cannot read it and the dead space is awful. The layout makes no sense… PLEASE go back to the old layout!
RETURN THE OLD DESIGN
The new design is terrible. Very hard to find anything. Everything is dark and small. I’m the collector since the app release in 2015 and this update is the worst of all times.

The Fun is Gone
I’ve been spending time in this app for years, as a fun way to hover around the Star Wars universe and relive my kid days as a Topps card collector. But the recent Fanatics integration and UI update have taken the fun out of this. So many additional taps have been introduced, and the screen layout makes it so much easier to accidentally purchase card sets or other in-app assets. This doesn’t seem coincidental, as the number of monetized options has increased, while free options are disappearing. It’s not just the obvious cash grab that’s disappointing. It feels like the sense of community is drying up as well; the app is turning more competitive than collaborative.

How the mighty have fallen
Been here since day one. Have spent countless hours and cash on this app. I’ve referred others and enjoyed trading. I appreciate the recent update and was glad to have the topps team invest in the game. But it have become unusable. Constant freezes and glitches. I can’t post trade or crack a pack without it locking up. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled- problem persist. I’ve hard reset- iPhone 17 pro with latest iOS26- problem persist. I am at a loss. I just want it to work. Until then. I can’t recommend this app.
Horrible new UI
Who is the genius who decided making it harder to use this app was a good thing?
I really enjoy SWCT but this latest update is very frustrating and is far less user friendly than the previous version.

Needs Quality of Life improvements
Can we please get additional “bulk buy” options for sets, especially the Base Packs bundles? Having a 10x buy or a 100x buy option for credit (non-crystal) purchases would be great and prevent me from having to click the “1000 credit” purchase THOUSANDS of times! Additionally new UI is terrible. Now takes twice as much time to do something. Organization is awful. Clearly designed by someone who does not actually use the app.
New version not good.
I've been a user since week one. This most recent update with the new build is the most over-complicated, confusing, difficult to use, obtuse, and unnecessarily complex user interface I have ever seen. What should be a very simple and basic application has been transformed into a bloated rubix cube of user experience. It's as though the developers thought "hey our paying customers are happy and can use the app, let's make it as confusing and complicated as possible to ruin their ability to enjoy themselves and buy our products." I just don't understand why they decided to "fix" what was never broken.
Use to be good
It use to be a fun trading app now you have to pay to trade. I loved it I collected actual Starwars cards and collecting these were fun as well but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone anymore unless you wanna play to play more or less

Atrocious UI update ruins the app
This recent interface update is atrocious. Previous updates have been unpopular but this one takes the cake. There is nothing redeeming about it. A generous reading of the change would be TOPP’s is completely incompetent and stupid to think this was an improved design. I’m not generous with wholesale changes that are so heinous. I think this was done on purpose and maliciously to confuse users and make it so they spend more credits, crystals, or real money or so they miss out on cards or events.
The most egregious change that I have found so far is the workbench. Before it was easy to see the different workbenches available, the exact number, type, and set of cards required vs what I had in my collection, and what card or pack was received at the end. Now…you get to guess, especially for workbenches that require specific cards in specific quantities. No idea if you need 2 or 200 and how many I have in my collection.
Aesthetically, everything is almost monochrome, flat and lifeless. Headers that should clearly separate areas of announcements or the workbench almost blend in with everything else.
An app that has Star Wars in the name should have aesthetic qualities in common with it. Star Wars is rich source for these ideas. There should be ‘buttons’, contrasting colors, outlines! The process of interacting with the app should be as enjoyable as pulling a card that you are looking for. The only ‘Star Wars’ in this app are the card faces. How much longer will that keep this app alive?
Hopefully Lucasfilm/Disney will apply pressure to correct this horror or just end their association with a company that does not take care of this popular and beloved franchise.

New App and New UI is Horrible
App was pretty good, but recently updated to a new UI. Too small font, too hard to navigate, but most problematic is the fact that the app is now very very slow and unstable. This seems to be a real problem for the app developers as in no longer really use the app or make any purchases. I assume I am not the only one. It seems they are likely losing out here, but only time will tell if they actually decide to do something and correct the app back to the way it was.
It wasn’t broke, stop “fixing” it
Took a perfectly good app, with mechanics that everyone knew and turned it into a laggy, complicated, multi-layered click-fest with no redeeming qualities. Visual graphics & video aren’t necessarily in a card app - just drains the battery faster.
Lost another fan
Run your fans away. Run your app into the ground. Close up shop. You would think that whoever the “boss” is would fire the employees that take an app that works fine and jacks it up. You lost another fan / customer !
New Update = Fail
The new update killed it for me, what a joke! Nothing new is an upgrade, can’t even see things now that they are a quarter of the size. Someone with a better idea always messes up a good thing. That’s the corporate way…
Horrible Update
I wasn’t on for a few weeks and this is the update I come back to? I have no idea where to go for anything. And the ease of use before, has now become a horrible game of hide and seek. I am definitely done using this app now.
Upgrade to Fanatics One broke Events
I really regret opting in to their advertised Fanatics One upgrade. I totally lost the ability to see or claim rewards in Events. No one is customer support getting back to me about this. Additionally, the new UI is terrible across the board. Everything is so small and hard to see. No way to increase the font size of the waaay to small text in most parts of the CX.
Charming to Sterile UI
Started playing on a whim and stayed because I was charmed by the UI. Now when I open the app, it feels so lifeless. There are also far more performance issues, but I imagine it’ll smooth out-but right now, the app crashes a lot. Doesn’t feel like Star Wars anymore.

I don’t know who’s grand idea it was to change to user interface to be the most confusing thing ever but it makes the app almost unbearable to use now. I never leave reviews but I had to for this because it’s actually caused me to stop using the app for now. It’s confusing, everything is smallest font ever, dark and now takes longer and have to jump through hoops to even do simple things. One of the most user friendly updates I’ve seen and a mess. Terribly disappointed with what this app is now

Newest update ruined so much
In addition to being less intuitive than the previous UI, the update brings longer load times, extra scrolling to find buttons that should appear “above the fold,” and defaults pack purchases to crystals instead of credits. Who approved this? It’s a disaster.
UPDATE: a few days later it’s gone from bad to worse. The app locks up and then crashes every 2-3 minutes. What a disappointment.

The new “improved” design.
This design has resulted in me not be able to use my phone. I had to buy a tablet. There are minor improvements and MAJOR backtracking in this update. This company doesn’t care about their fans. I spent a week talking to support, my issues still haven’t been resolved. I will only recommend this app if the revert their changes back to the old UI.

The new update format is just a dizzy spell. There are some features I like, but they could’ve just updated the app and kept some of the features they added but the format the same. Please if you guys read these, just put the format back and the old ui when tapping to open packs. I miss being able to open 10 packs in 10 seconds
Too much space for a card app
I love this app but it’s getting too much of my space on the phone 2.3 gb and the app doesn’t have anything new, is always the same features just new packs! Our phones are storing their cache from old packs and files. Theres no reason for this app to be 2.3 gb
Great Game
Game is complete garbage...they will suspend your account for no reason and then make you jump through hoops to be reinstated. Cant wait for a class action lawsuit...I will be the first to sign up.
UI is atrocious
I used to sink a ton of time (and money) into this game because I enjoyed collecting, but since the latest update came out, I haven’t been bothered to play and probably won’t. The new menus are clunkier, uglier, slower, and more confusing, even though I’m an experienced player and know exactly what I’m looking for. Many other traders share the same sentiment; I’m out until this is reverted back to the old interface. I discourage any new players from seriously trying out the card trader until things are improved.
Disappointed in update
I have been using this app for 10 years. This update is the first that has me planning to quit. The new user interface is *not* user friendly, requires 3 more taps to complete previously easy tasks, and has made everything smaller (a strange priority for an app that focuses on looking at digital art). On top of that, the new update has the app crashing every 2 minutes during use. I will no longer bother logging in. Thanks for the memories.
One star for the update, not the app itself
Though I have never left a review on any game or app before, the UI in this new update is such a disaster that I had to say something about it. Not only is it way more confusing and much harder to use, it barely even feels like Star Wars at all compared to the previous look. I don’t know what they were thinking, but I hope they come to their senses and revert this absolute car fire of an update soon.
New Format
I love the game but recently they changed the format and it’s much more complex. I do the other tools games and find them easier to work with, but Star Wars not as much fun any more.

The new update is horrible. It’s slow, hard to navigate and is really hard to read. Anytime you gain a new card you cannot tell how many cards you’ve collected in the current set. Please get rid of this update make the app fun and easy again.

This new interface is shockingly bad, and amazingly jumbled. It’s almost as if no effort was made is designing a quality upgrade, and rather focus was shifted simply on changing everything around.

The user interface is awful. Card images and buttons are very small, which means you’re tapping the wrong thing repeatedly and have to keep hitting the back button and starting over.
This is supposed to be an app for trading cards but the trading flow is awful. Whether you’re in a news article or the trade feed, after every trade you start (even if you don’t send it!) you get dumped back on your trade screen. Now you have to click several times just to get back to where you were in order to find other potential trades. It makes chasing new sets a total pain and time suck.

The new interface doesn’t look or feel optimized, having to scroll for anything now versus the older UI where everything could easily be accessible. Not a fan at all and more then likely going to stop playing to focus on other games

Everything that a user would care about is now small and hard to find and see. The way it's arranged in every part of the app makes it very hard to tell what is what or what will happen if you click something. I'm afraid to even use trades or open packs or click on anything or spend money.
It's not clear and obvious the way it was before about what you are trading, are you trading a single or dupe? How many? What tier? It's a complicated mess with too many buttons and small font and anything important blends into the background so you are never sure of anything.
The ONLY thing that stands out clearly is the option to buy crystals in the store... Go figure. But why would I want to buy anything if I don't like using it, looking at it, engaging with it etc? And I don't even mind spending money on apps! I actually have liked buying sets with real money on Star wars, Disney and marvel and even a few times on Bunt before they updated that app and I hated it. I regularly spend money on this app but I can't imagine having any desire to spend while it looks like this.
In curated we now have a big white bubble showing when the set was last updated.. Who cares!? Why is THAT what you prioritized? Title or the picture would have made way more sense!
I hate the four square button for all the activities. I want those activities to always be visible like they were before!
I HATE THE TRADES SECTION! Each trade blends into the background and the font is small and the lack of contrast on the trade buttons makes it hard to quickly tell what's what. Same for when you start a trade. Everything blends together and it's hard to tell what's what. And even though everything blends together at the same time there is too much happening on the screen at the same time. Like all the screens look too cluttered and busy. How is it possible that the worst of both worlds are happening simultaneously??
You also have to click TWO buttons to see or not see card tags, why would I want more steps and work? And when you do have them on they look HORRIBLE! Way too much, way too cluttered, cards are small and hard to see and EVERY SINGLE CARD has what tier it is under the card!? Why!? That is so unnecessary! And ugly and actually MORE confusing and I've used this app for years!
I also HATE that the scroll bar on the bottom for tiers is transparent and on top of cards! Ugh! It's so distracting! When I scroll it's all my eyes notice! Instead of looking at my cards all I see is the stupid scroll bar!
I have the same complaints about the store not having contrast. And also the two BIGGEST things I care about with sets in the store are : viewing the set and the news article where people post comments and I can read about the set info. BOTH of those things are so tiny you practically have to get out your microscope to see them! So not user friendly! And for packs that are limited number of packs? Well you might as well have to have a quantum shrink machine because that's how small the font is! And in news the comment button is also so small! I want to read other users comments!
Cargo and lock on aren't obvious, so that's one more thing that's a pain to do.
Trophies look terrible with a big white sticker showing the date you got them... Again, who cares?? Not to mention a check mark by it, I think I can deduce without the check that the trophies in my collection are sets I collected, I don't need a redundant check to clutter the page.

Oops, you broke it
Hey, Topps. Please considering fixing your app. The new update is an undeniable step backward. Is the interface easier to navigate? No. You put buttons behind layers of other buttons. Does it run smoother? Nope. Its way more crashy and glitchy. Do I like some of the new flashy graphics? Sure. But is it worth a bad update? No. Please. Can you do some work to actually streamline this platform? This is dog water, bro.
Terrible new update
The new update really devalues the appearance and accessibility of the app. Harder to get around, there's subsections of things that don't warrant that interface, and everything just looks smaller. I can't see the cards I have, and when purchasing new packs in the shop there's a wall of text you have to read first before finding the button that blends in with the rest of the grey boring screen. It's that I'm even used to the prior version of this app, I only started playing a month ago! But if this was the appearance of the app when I started I would have quit, and I probably will!!!, because of how terrible the new update looks and handles.

Sorry friends this update is just confusing and adds so many taps and menus to get what you want. Still no "trade scale" to see value of each partner in a trade. Now convoluted and confusing user interface. What not ask people who have played for a decade a bit before this? Yikes.

New layout has literally 3 or smaller point type. Even with glasses it’s hard to read. Clearly none works at Topps and is over 25 or ever reads. It’s insane how fine the print is to be able to fit all they did into the new “everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink” layout. It was fine having to hit a button to see some card data/details. At least it easy to read then. When i get my magnifying glass I’ll add to this review.
