Sound works but the game is unplayable
Never played this game before and was excited after I played the first game but for some reason them is unplayable on an iPad at least mine. The sound works no problem but playing the game does nothing for me meaning it is like watching the game trying to figure out any animation and constantly freezes can’t even watch cut scenes cause it is constantly stuck or loading.

Bugs…
I was really getting into the game as a huge fan of the franchise and played it growing up. The only advice I would give is manually save often and don’t write over your manual saves. I hit a point where the game bugged out because I had exited the game and then I came back. It wouldn’t transition me to a certain spot so I ran around for two hours to no avail at which point I tried to restart and delete the app off my phone and re-download it to see if that would fix it but that deleted all my progress. I’m getting up on the game.

The graphics are bad it is so laggy and I can barely play the dang game it is 15$ for a laggy palace this game almost broke my iPad. I want a refund now. Do you not buy this game? If you do, you’re gonna regret it.
Game freezes up!!!!
I got very deep in the game and ran across some stupid glitch that freezes the game when I return to dxun. They’ve had 20 years to fix this but haven’t done anything. It’s really frustrating to go that deep into game and not be able to finish it. I wish I could get my money back.
Make it so Bluetooth remotes work
Loved the first game, but loved playing it connected to my tv with a Bluetooth remote. My Bluetooth remote worked perfectly with the first game and doesn’t work at all for the second. It makes me sad that I payed for it.
DLC LIE!
While I am happy the game is available and we can play this classic anywhere with the mobile app, I am disappointed that Aspyr Media lied to the fans about the inclusion of the lost content from KOTOR 2 which we’ve been waiting for close to 20 years for the opportunity to play. That’s why I rate it so low for the blatant lie this company made to us. I still hope that this can be resolved and after almost 3 years you can release this DLC content both on mobile and Xbox consoles.
Doesn’t work
Does not fit in my screen. I’m on iPhone 10 on the latest update. And it doesn’t work. I’ve tried restarting my phone as well as uninstalling and reinstalling it and it just doesn’t work.

I don’t understand why the sequel does not have support but the original does… not to mention I paid for both games also on my MAC for the kotor 1 to basically freeze after every fight and kotor 2 won’t even load. Will take the $30 loss on the MAC but at least give iOS kotor 2 controller support!

Please add Controller support. If you have a backbone controller or want to use your PlayStation controller it doesn’t work. Even though this game works on other systems with controllers. Ridiculous. How hard is it to copy and paste the controller support.

I work 12 hour shifts at a desk and, if Kotor had backbone controller support on iOS, I could spend a lot of that time playing it.
Still no controller support?
Hard to believe this has been out as long as it has and still has no controller support. I’m sorry but that’s just laziness on the creators part. With the sudden pop of phone conttollers you’d think it’d be a no brainer but here we are in 2024 still playing KOTOR 2 with an absolute horrid touch control scheme just because the developers are too lazy. Great game but the touch controls are such a hassle that it’s enough to bring it down to 1 star. No excuse developers, there’s easy money to be made. You did it with the first, absolutely no reason what so ever to not have that on launch. Obviously more people will get it if they don’t have cramp their hands just experience how great this game is.

Sound doesn’t work, wasted $15. App doesn’t appear to be regularly patched so I’m not expecting a fix.
Frustrating and boring
I played and enjoyed KOTOR 1. I was looking forward to this game. Unfortunately, the designers of KOTOR 2 took the framework from an excellent game and used it to make a frustrating, boring slog.
Unbelievable
Made it to Nar Shandaa (second planet) up to the point to where Atton goes to the cantina to fight. He goes in with no health and I have no health packs. Boom. Failure. Only option is to start the game over and I’m not doing that.

How does KOTOR 1 have support but KOTOR 2 doesn't?!?! That just seems idiotic and lazy from the developers in charge of this port. Really dumb.

Great game imperfectly adapted.
As the title says, a rather decent lucasarts title has had the shine rubbed off by imperfect porting.
First, a make-or-break hallmark of professionalism is whether or not the user can play their own audio during gameplay. Here, the only options are to listen to game audio or Total. Silence. This would have been such an easy fix. Smh.
Second, and much trickier to address, a user’s in-game menus have a tendency to reset themselves. Since better, stronger force powers are acquired later in the game, the persistence of low-level, simple options defeats the purpose of a quick menu.
Third, nothing. Some will voice their dissatisfaction with the game’s construction, styling, gameplay, or plot, but for its’ time this was a really lovely, immersive game. It’s been fun replaying it.
I only wish I could listen to my 🤬music or audiobooks while playing it.

Despite claiming controller support I have not found one that works. Tried Bluetooth and plug in controllers; four different brands.

I’ve loved this game basically my entire life. I purchased the game as soon as it launched back in the day on original Xbox. However, the mobile experience is seriously lacking. With no Backbone controller support, it really finds the consumer wanting, especially when the earlier first game has it.
DO NOT PURCHASE
nothing is inherently wrong with this game, but especially if you have never played KOTOR 2 before, install it on steam with the restored content mod for an optimal experience that only enhances the story. trust me this is a ubiquitous belief held by those in the community.
