All I Wanted…
…was a sudoku game that wouldn’t keep pestering me with ads. So I paid for this one and it keeps pestering me to rate it every time I finish a game. I was giving it 4 star reviews since the marking system is kind of non-intuitive and has caused me to make numerous errors. Now I’m going to keep giving it 1 star reviews until it stops asking me.

Please stop with this game. The interface is awful. One cannot tell whether they’ve selected to view all squares occupied by a number or whether you need to tap the square and enter a number. Don’t even get me going with the frustration of pencil marks (notes) this game sucks. It’s now deleted. Good riddance.
No instructions or examples
I’ve played sudoku for years with another app. But this one has no instructions on how to use it. Or a demo. I have yet to complete an easy game.

The scoring is confusing
Compared to other apps with ads, the gameplay here just isn’t the same.
Worsened
After every puzzle now, I get a popup asking me to rate the app. Here’s your rating. I’m uninstalling and will move on to another app. Definitely not the best app, but it sufficed until the dev team decided to pester users with requesting a rating every 2 minutes. Good riddance
Interface is not intuitive. No instructions
Too hard to figure out how to enter values. Doesn’t auto fill in easy moves like the old Enjoy Sudoku app

Really poor use of graphics
Compared to other sudoku apps I’ve used, I’m taking twice as long to complete a puzzle. This is primarily due to the apps poor use of graphics. Almost no use of color to differentiate states; notes are hard to see and notes I’ve entered disappear on their own(!); 3x3 grids within the 9x9 are difficult to distinguish; the tiny completion indicator is useless; and they have this new thing it’s called animation - you might consider taking advantage of that to indicate number completion and puzzle completion. On the good side, you don’t get bombarded with ads if you buy it.

Hate the way pencil marks work
I enjoyed a different paid Sudoku app for years that was suddenly removed from my new iphone. I tried this after reading other reviews and regret paying for it. Pencil marks just don’t flow at all. It’s taken the enjoyment out of the game.
NICE - But App needs to gray out complete numbers
I wish App would gray out all numbers that are no longer available or needed.
FIX STICKY NOTE SWITCH
Read title, that’s it. Sticky note switch rarely works but when it doesn’t it wrecks the entire board. I’d rather watch an ad than waste time fixing the mistakes this causes. Also your support site is not secured

MANDATORY REVIEW
Do not like constant pop up asking for rate/review when I’ve had the game a couple hours. It’s like Im FORCED to review before I know if I like it or not. So ok 1 star

Makes no sense
The top row missing only the number 9, but that column already has a 9. So what number is it supposed to be then? This has happened in another game as well. The code in this soduko app is messed up.

Very first game I attempted to play already had an error making it unsolvable on hard mode.

I left 5 star reviews multiple times, but after getting nagged a couple hundred times since then, leaving this review in hopes the devs will fix the bug or stop the madness.

Terrible UI
This game has two options for note mode: either every single time you click on an empty cell it defaults to note mode or every single time you click on an empty cell it leaves note mode. There is no option to just enter note mode with a click, make several notes, and then exit note mode with one click. That’s not possible here. The result is that playing this game is endlessly frustrating.
Not Hard Enough
I thought this would be difficult when I saw it had Expert and Diabolical levels. It’s far too easy. I’m so disappointed. The apps with in-app purchases heat up my old phone.
Glitches
I worked eight puzzles. Four of them glitched and gave conflicting answers in the final blocks. Not worth the time.

Notes mode flicks on and off. I never know what it’s going to do.

Ugly and clunky but technically works
My other app switched to a subscription based model so I’m trying out new sudoku apps. This one is bad considering it’s paid. At least it’s cheap. The note-taking interface is clunky and confusing. Instead of just being on or off at the push of one button it’s sometimes on or sometimes off. If you press a square with notes already in it then the note feature is automatically on. It’s just ugly and clunky. It also doesn’t show if you placed a number wrong; matter of preference I guess but I’d rather know right away that I made an error. Anyway I’d give this one star but since it technically functions as a sudoku app, it gets two.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
No customer service. Just the minimum basic. Enough to call it Sudoku.
Too time consuming and confusing
Too many buttons to push to fill a cell with the right number and to use the pencil note. Just too confusing. The last Sudoku that I had but I was made to get rid of was MUCH easier and quicker to finish. This one takes too long for a game that is meant for speed.
Evil puzzles design error
Poorly designed “Evil” puzzles have no solutions.
Not Intuitive
As the title says, the controls aren’t intuitive. Are there any tutorials or hints? If so, I haven’t found them yet.
