Guild battle is full of fights where the defense goes endlessly with no extra turn or attack bar increasing mechanics.

Enjoyment is nearly gone
As one who has played this game for the better part of a decade (I started in May of 2016) it’s becoming clear that the game is no longer what it used to be. This latest update has nearly destroyed my desire to play. Pre-set decks are a nice idea when implemented correctly, but forcing this on everyone seems a bit much. Siege offense was messed up this siege which made me spend even more time changing runes and artifacts than ever before. To make matters worse my r5 teams were messed up when switching from GBAH to r5. Dimension hole team was also messed up.
Update after update come with small tweaks here and there, but some updates are okay, and others terrible. Auto farming was the best update ever, but since then everything comes up woefully short of that. Decisions seem to be made as knee-jerk reactions to keep some players playing. I have no problem spending in games where the development team does a good job, but com2us clearly hates their player base. By trying to make everyone happy, they upset everyone on a myriad of issues.
My frustrations have grown significantly over this last year in particular. The first terrible update was releasing a fusion unit that relies upon RNG when summoning a monster from guild shop. Now if someone wants to fuse all skill ups for the other 4 units it may cost 100,000 guild coins in a worst case scenario. That said the one or two people that have both LD5s are likely endgame whales that won’t do so, but use some of the 1873 devilmons gathering dust in storage. Casual, free to play, and those that choose to not play in a guild are punished by this mechanic. I still haven’t fused the unit despite having plenty of guild coins from playing in a g2 siege guild. They also looked to me like the art team really rushed something, that didn’t look good, and basically had an awakening that looked almost exactly the same as the unawakened version of the monster.
Next came relics, which brought us back to the incredible nostalgia of failed rune power ups, and having a system that has a reward for the efforts, similar to stepping on cat vomit in the dark and falling down a flight of stairs. The relic idea is nice, but needs to be readjusted as this is just a worse upgrade system than runes were back in the early days of the game. Way to take the game back to the future com2us, you really outdid yourself.
Between the arcane weapons and relics came the Tomorrow update, which tried to address the issue of people feeling they needed to play constantly to stay relevant in the game. The time put in by some late game players was merely to stay relevant, thus needing to macro farm when not awake, or at work. This caused some players to quit since the time investment was too great; the Tomorrow update made this less necessary. By fixing this issue, it created another issue, where people played less (and likely spent less). No doubt com2us was concerned and needed to get people playing more actively again through events.
In the end this update was likely done to pacify a very small segment that is in the highest tiers of PvP content. As the title of this review says, my enjoyment is fading fast, and nearly gone. That means I’ll likely not be playing much longer. I’m not taking the time to setup everything with this update, which was a gross miscalculation by the dev team in my opinion.

It’s a really fun game to play, but the game is so hard to get good light and dark mons so it makes it hard to compete with good players unless you spend thousands of dollars buying packages. At the beginning, I should’ve opened three or four accounts and summoned in which one was more likely to receive the light and dark mons

Game is water down
Nothing good here anymore. I started In 2012 back then the game was amazing up to 4 years ago. Game just became to easy and boring. Getting 5s monster was a big deal. Now I’m current 2026 they give them away. Dont waste your time here.

you bring out a pity system that only works for wind/fire/water monsters but not one for LD monsters and that is not fair considering there are players that have been playing for nearly 10 years who have been loyal but still hasn’t gotten a single LD Nat 5. Either boost the rates or just please add a pity system for LD monsters, your community deserves better give the people what the want and maybe you’ll be able to squeeze out more money.

Summoners War has become incredibly grindy with little real reward, as most meaningful progress is locked behind paywalls. The game tries to attract new players but neglects its late-game community. Summoning rates are, without a doubt, the worst I’ve seen-I’ve only pulled 2 Light/Dark Nat 5s in 10 years of consistent play. The developers rarely listen to feedback, and balance patches often feel pointless, affecting almost no one. Overall, it feels unrewarding and out of touch. They are just a greedy company at the end of the day.
Do not fall for the bait of people telling you they actually enjoy this game lol, the people in game chat (who are actually trying to enjoy the game) will tell you how bad it is.

Terrible game
They can keep trying to delete my review but I will keep coming back as the company is greedy and gives the worst updates ever instead of fixing the game. There player base and ratings are dropping and they only care about squeezing money out of you instead of fixing the game. Might be one of the most unbalanced games ever made. Game is rigged for summoning game is rigged for PvP content and pve content straight trash. Game is so terrible please never download and if you are playing you should quit until the actually do something to make it a balanced game
One of the better ones
Played this for the last six years but November 2025 I quit because I got tired of the guild siege rewards. It's possible for the guild leader to kick you out on the last day of the tournament and basically screw you for all the rewards and contribution you've made throughout the full siege season which has happened to me twice and the devs know this and continue to do nothing about itand just say that it is out of their control.
For context when I started the game I joined a guild and quickly became vice and have managed two G2 guilds which were started at G1 and made them grow after they were disbanded due to people quitting that's when I had to join other guilts and the leaders were less than impressed with my helpful comments due to ego or pride or just because they didn't want to hear it and it's their way. And on this account I also have eight light dark five star units like VIVA, SHAN, OBERON , and I had enough of the game when on the last day of the siege season I was kicked out for asking the leader of the his plan for next season . I had attended every siege , and was top 3 in the tournament contribution. And in the end all that time doing siege which was 2-3 hours as I also helped others , and refilled towers , etc. and as it is it takes up so much time of your day that that was the last straw that I have spent 2 to 3 hours on every seat each day being in a guild and getting kicked out on the last day of the siege like literally the last day it was on a Saturday and Natali was gonna be on Sunday.
Devs refuse to acknowledge that this is a problem and will not implement any sort of checks to prevent this from happening again which is a big problem if you are free to play player which I have been for the last two years as the rewards from being in a G1/G2 guild and doing all the other content was more than enough crystals but that was just the last straw so I don't recommend this game

Beyond ridiculous
First off an Xbox game is 100$ a 4-5 start character pull will run you the same on this game ….. The pull rates tho ! Downloaded again for nostalgia remembered quickly why I didn’t play long .
Not F2P Friendly
Ive been playing for 7 years, I haven’t gotten a rolled LD (Light/Dark)5 yet, and I’ve only gotten 2 usable ld 4s so far, This game is not F2P friendly at all. The Gacha system in this game doesn’t make up for the bad pulls either. You will get the same 4 star unit 10-20 times before you get a new monster, Getting runes have gotten better but its still quite some room to improve.From the quality of the runes to the amount of material needed to make runes better rather is be “Reappraisals” to gems and touch. If your not willing to spend money on this game, you might as well not play Arena or RTA because the difference between the monsters and/or runes you get compared to the Accounts that spends money is way to large for you to be able to by pass the difference. Not to mention the balancing of the monsters are quite bad. 2A monster Shren had a cleanse on her 3 skill when she is awakened , but it gets removed with her 2nd awakening. In term punishing the user for 2nd Awakening her. Another example of a character being quite terrible is a LD4 monster Arcana which originally was a collab character. Her get is so niche in most games she is taking up a spot on the team. It seems like this game and its devs are only worried about adding new characters, collabs, animations, and the amount of money they can get out of said things instead of thinking about other monsters that are getting no use. For F2P people if you really want to play this gambit might be better for to worry about the farming aspect of the game and leave the PVP alone. If you are willing to spend money on this game, you’ll have lots of fun. Pull rates are quite bad in this game as well when it comes to monsters as well and they arent forgiving. Personally I think they should add a system similar to Genshin, especially for LD monsters where after a certain amount of scrolls it greatness your chance to get a higher tier monster. Im tired of playing a game where it is quite unforgiving. Even though all its said I do see slight and slow changes like the RTA changes made which made RTA much more playable. Overall, if you want play a game because of the skins you could get and the animations, this could be a game you could like.

I’ve been playing this game for over 7 years. Light Dark monster is what everyone tries to get, but a majority of people get screwed trying to get them. People waste too much money trying to get them. I’m not sure what is wrong with this busted game.
Also the game randomly closes in mid matches. When I open my game back up, it automatically gives me a loss. Especially in siege. Fix this issue! Dragon ball Dokkan battle picks up RIGHT where you left off.

I played for years and years and years. Started account in 2016 and have every receipt of the 1000s of dollars I spent on the game and they can do nothing to help me recover my account. They do not care once they got all my money. POS.

Greedy Developers
You have to spend a lot of money to get an okay chance at LD 5s. 9 years playing and nothing to show for it. You save up ld scrolls and then summon the same 3 stars back to back. The daily wishes are just as bad. Maybe land on a free monster slot once a year and then its just a 3 star you can get any other day. Without money its boring. You would think they would have the brains to give people a chance at least once a year to get one.
Broken game every time it updates
I’ve had to re download this game hundreds of times and every time it updates it's the same thing. Then, while downloading I constantly get the C:12 error. And when you reach out for help they just tell you to either restart the device or restart the download.
Horrible Rates
Average Rates, No Pity Pulls, and after all this time (10 years or something) they still sell all of their packs for the same prices to nickel and dime you. The game play loop itself is alright for what kind of game it is, no complaints there and the longer you play you just accrue monsters that help with progress, but you wont get getting a lot of the ones you’d like.

Ever since major update for anniversary, the game crashes. I can’t use ameria luck and auto hoh or toa or even just tapping on peoples profiles without it crashing. Please fix asap!
This is not for 9 year olds
The chat logs are horrendous and have been since I started playing in 2014 without properly being able to monitor the users I believe this is an unsafe game for children

Do NOT waste your money
This game for the most part can be fun. The only frustrating part that I see is for a lot of players it is impossible to get a nat 5 L/D mon. And for a lot of players that’s all their account has is nat 5 LD mons to the point where it just just becomes unfair. Especially if you’re putting money into this game on packs that center around nat 5 and still don’t even get a nat 4. With the % of a nat 4 and nat 5 there is no logical reason why so many players have as many as they do. I get it this game has been around for 12 years I have another account I have played for 9 of those years and even at that I don’t have as many as a lot of these accounts have. There has to be some hacking and cheating happening.
No ld5 after over 6 years
I have been playing this game on and off since it has been released. There are some major issues with the game currently. First one is the lack of mercy summon system. Second is the lack of banning of bots pulling nat 5s. Third is there is not enough rune storage. Fourth is the lack of monster balance for ld5s (all the top players use them, while you cannot grab them). Then the last is that collab releases are all rigged to the worst character 80% of the time (golem for lotr collab for example).
Haven’t enjoyed a game like this in awhile

I am a long time player, my biggest complaint is the outrages prices they have in a store. Unfortunately I know people buy them, but why would someone spend 50 bucks on something that isn’t a guarantee. The summoning rate is horrible.
I am sure multiple people have been playing this game for 5 plus years without actually getting an LD5 while we face off against people with multiple. I faced off against someone in guild battles and he had a ld5 in every single team. It doesn’t make any sense at all. I am seeing newer accounts getting the left and right.

The summoning rates are still terrible.
I have been playing summoners war for years and have absolutely nothing to show for it. I should’t have to spend money to get anything interesting/good. This event is literally terrible. I have summoned so many scrolls and have basically been only getting Gollum (I have 10+). Fix this horrible system because it is genuinely so unfun.
