Way to screw up an app over the years
Distracting icons, popups, the save PDF story is clunky with multiple icons and options overlapping instead of suggesting the Files API, auto upload still works as it used to though. Also stupid upsells, links to other apps, asks for your contacts, offers fax with credits. Truly squeezing the 2020 acquisition, eh?

MAJOR SCAN PROBLEMS
In the beginning, it worked great once they purchased the pro and VIP packages. However, now years later, the app is not syncing with the iCloud account with iOS. And after several emails to Customer Support resolutions have not resolved the issue. Tried the old-fashioned method delete the app and reinstall it, but it never asked me for a LOGIN or Password and Never started syncing with ICloud (iOS)

No longer usable
Can’t get around forced subscription pop up. No longer have access to previously scanned documents.

Works good for awhile then asks you to buy and gives no option to x out then have to delete and redownload
Could not get family sharing to work
I’ve been a fan of SwiftScan for years. The app works fine. It says that it supports family sharing but I couldn’t figure out how to do it after spending 30 minutes trying in the app and searching SwiftScan’s website.

Getting worse over time
I’ve used this for scanning years. Since before they started started charging a monthly fee. The move to a subscription model was crazy for an app that is only running locally on your phone. But now even the existing features have gone downhill. Frequent nagging ads to upgrade / or try some “AI” features that no one asked for.

Broken
It lets you crop it, but then when you send it as a PDF, the crop is not at all what you did.
Skip it unless you want to pay to lose all your files and documents
Bad faith and poor ethics. I purchased the premium or pro version years ago to support developers when they first started.
However, I lost all functionality, features and most importantly my saved documents & files, when they changed their business model.
I understand the economics of a monthly subscription, however it is extremely poor business practice and unethical to not honor the subscriptions of the people who purchased the app and supported it, when you were first getting started, long before it was a monthly service. I would at least like to restore and recover all of my itemized documents & files the were previously scanned and saved with my paid version.
I’d strongly recommend for others to skip this app unless you want to pay money to lose all of your data and documents as well as the basic features that are readily available elsewhere.

Camera stopped working
Camera stopped working after iOS update 17.4.1. When will you fix this bug? I’m currently paying for an app that doesn’t work.
Subscription only
This app is a subscription only no option to pay for it outright. Any app that’s a subscription like this gets a one star review for me. This is 2024 and this is so overpriced I was shocked.
Used to be Great
Used to be freemium, allowing you limited use for free. Now however you’re only allowed 1 scan of 2 pages before it forces you to buy to continue. Unfortunate
Mixes Up Pages
The app is constantly mixing up the pages, putting them in an order different from the one I inputted… extraordinarily frustrating …
Scam scan
Do not use or download this app. It is a scam. I had to scan one document to email and I was able to do so once just fine. I went to check on that document less than an hour later and the app has locked me out if I don’t pay. When I accepted the free trial just so I could move my document, they charged me the full fee instead. And they don’t offer a free trial if you go for a month subscription so not only do they charge you, but they charge you for a year. This app is a trap! Do not use. I have reported this to apple and asked for a refund.
Used to love this app, not now
I’ve used this app for many many years scanning home documents. Recently however, my scans are now blurry and poor quality to the point of being unusable. I will have to explore a different app for this application at this point.
Stopped working
I can't get the camera to load or a picture to process. This app used to be great but now it's unusable. And I paid for the subscription.
Turn for the worse
This product used to be excellent! Used it for years-Great quality, quick and easy to use. Recently started using again and the ads and offers to upgrade make it impossible to upload a document without being interrupted or having to close the app to restart. Very disappointing. :/

Not sure how to access my docs. Used Settings to offload app then reinstall, no difference.
Use other apps
This app used to be powerful and mostly free. Now they charge you for updating the color of the scan, a previously free feature. A lot of free features are now paid. I understand charging for premium features but this is ridiculous. Stay away

So,they had to go to Subscriptions? That means that I will never own the App,no matter how much I pay. So,they intend to bleed out their loyal customers? I want no part of this, I am hoping it is a passing trend.It is a bit like paying rent for years,then getting evicted anyway.
Doesn’t crop well anymore?
I’ve used this app for years. Recently I’ve had to manually crop ever scan, instead of the speed of letting the app handle it for me. What changed? I’ve gone through the settings and can’t find anything to improve the experience.
Went downhill
I’ve had this app for years. And I have told many people I work with to download it because it’s amazing. Whatever update you did recently has completely ruined the scan quality. I’m no longer going to use this app or recommend it
Can’t restore purchase & heats up the phone
The app is hanging and it heats up the phone with iPhone 14 Pro. Reinstall the app but you can NOT restore the subscription. So you have to pay again.

Paid for a previous version and now upgrade banners are all over the place. Horrible business behaviour. Look somewhere else
Garbage scammers!
I paid for the app and at the time it had automatic up, leads to cloud services, and unlimited multiple pages… Now, automatic updates, no longer work, and I am limited to 20 pages! Give me my money back!

Bait & Switch & Screwing old customers
This app used to be great, and I even paid for a VIP account years ago, but with the latest update they have locked down the features I had previously PAID FOR and are now forcing an ongoing subscription to access the same features that were already included in my previous paid account. Infuriating.

Handy but not user friendly
This app isn’t very intuitive and I find it hard to use. I can’t email my receipts and so I have to text them to my other phone and then email from that phone. Settings page really doesn’t have anything useful. Will be looking for new scanning app
Good functionality, but if you don’t pay it’s useless
Places watermarks on every document you scan and you have to pay to remove them. Makes them useless for anything that requires official documentation, which is the whole reason to use this app and not just take a photo of something. Cheaper to just buy a scanner yourself.

Where did my data go?
I tried to open my latest document this morning and nothing will open. I just updated my iPhone 12 to the latest 16.2 software and today was the first time I've tried to open Swift scan Pro. It will not open and freezes the app. My life is in there somewhere. What's going on?
Previously paid full price, replaced with ads
I previously paid for this app on the App Store and it’s been replaced by one with ads. Restoring purchases does nothing. Beware. The notes app built into the phone is free and better.

Good, but nags user
This is a nice app that works well but it over-nags the user to subscribe. I don’t need the subscription features and I can’t do any action without it covering screen with an ad. Would be nice to opt out of this
Joke, asking for more money!
This is a joke, I paid for full lifetime use and updates for this app, then they changed it into a subscription yearly model 8x the price, and disabled all the features I paid for the lifetime use and updates!

Constant monetization nags
