Won’t update phone
Even after spending ample time on the phone, talking to real people and confirming my SS# and submitting photographs of my license so I could update my phone number, this stupid app will not allow me to have a code sent to the new number that IS ON FILE so I can’t link my rewards. I have deleted the app completely. I’ve logged in and out several times. I’m just done. Technology is great when it works but this app is less than impressive. I’d give negative stars if I could.

Payment app BUG!
The app links to your credit card and allows and displays payments but does not get updates for a payment that didn’t process appropriately. You are not alerted to an issue. Also , the pointer to account fails and automatically goes to default payment card. Then you have your cancel and redo your payment.
Also, occasionally, the app will automatically make a payment to your linked payment options when clicking make a payment.
I am closing this account for these reasons.

The app has glitches
Such a bad app can’t get into my account at all despite several trials and changing my password .. it’s not friendly and simply dis functional

Why is it so difficult to use your rewards?
I’ve spent thousands at your various stores. I know that I have a bunch of rewards to use, but the app has never allowed me to link my card or pull my rewards up on my phone. I was able to find that I had over 10 coupons (rewards) that I could use that had NOT expired yet and the only way to use them is if I printed them off, but I don’t have a printer. I thought I figured it out and sent them to my email so I could have them scan them at the cash register but when I emailed them to myself the CSC disappeared and they couldn’t use them. It shouldn’t be this hard to use my rewards. Why don’t you just mail them to me??
Still doesn’t work
I have been a long time TJX credit card and app user and the app has stopped working. I just read a review from December that had the say problem. It’s now March. Do better

Card and app not working
Never had an issue before, but at some point early this year the Tjmaxx card kept being declined, even with zero balance on the card and after customer service supposedly helped me. Super frustrating to not have this fixed yet, and super embarrassing to be at checkout and have a card declined. Fix this already!!

Shopping app is the worst!!
I have been trying for 5 days to complete a purchase . It randomly kicks you off and it’s been 4 days and it won’t even load the shopping part. I have a large order for an upcoming trip never processed and won’t reload. Don’t waste your time on this site!!!

Hey! Owful developers, do something with your app and website mobile version, as once logged in on device- it’s not possible to open any pages for search and purchase! Only similar websites for business or career openings!!! More awful app and website workings haven’t seen in my life! Even beginners could fix that!!!

Login won’t work for rewards
Apps lets you log in to pay your bill no problem haha but when you try to login to review your rewards it’s just loads FOREVER and never lets you in.

CANNOT ACCESS FAVORITES PAST THE FIRST PAGE
Something recently changed in the app but it also happens when I access TJ MAXX online - cannot scroll through the FAVORITES tab past the first page.
Disappointed
I have been a fan of TJ Max for years . But it has gone down hill . Used to have beautiful dishes, haven’t seen any now in months. The front of the store has shelbes of makeup that looks like it’s been handled by every person who comes through the door. When you get to the back of the store and want to look at the packaged goods it is so crowded that you can’t get a buggy through. The clothes have gone downhill. Also there’s a sign there yesterday that had one of the brands that I like, but when I looked on the. clothes rack there was not one item that was of that brand. I think I’ll be going elsewhere for my shopping from now on.

Saved favorites not working
app will not pull up all 11 pages of marked favorites. The arrow is missing on the page and just shows 1/11 pages.

Interesting…every time I go to use it in the store it shows “error loading no internet” message when trying to load the rewards!! Doesn’t matter which store, it happens at any tjmaxx/ home goods I go into even when my phone is showing full cell service and 5+G. It is as if it’s purposeful so you can’t use the rewards

Just a way for them to get more money from you
The card was originally explained to me like a rewards card that i simply scan for points, not as a credit card. I started to pick up on it later. When I was asked for my income, the clerk gave me a number to put down to push it more. Just today i get a call and found out i had a late payment (it was 12 dollars). I had bought something late november, and payed later that day. However their purchases take forever to go through and it did not account for my $12 purchase that day. No notifications from the app letting me know, no calls from them either, just an email that blended in with all the other junk. I was charged 15 dollars for being late on a 12 dollar payment. Now that they were worried i simply wouldnt pay them, i assume they finally make a decent effort to reach out to me asking for their money.

Essentially I got this card about six months ago. Eager to use it and earn rewards. The problem is I am unable to access my account, it won’t recognize my saved password, when I try to reset my password it says it sent me a link and it hasn’t, yes I’ve checked my spam/ junk/ etc. can’t use rewards. Beyond frustrated. Wish there was another, reliable way to access rewards.

Completely useless
I downloaded this app when I got the TJX credit card so that I could manage my card and easily access my reward certificates. It has never allowed me to log in to my account even once, even though my login credentials are correct. So instead, the only way I can manage my payments and get my rewards is through the Synchrony website itself, which is a total pain and just a bad user experience overall. It makes me not want to use the card or bother with rewards at all.
A note to TJX corporate: If you’re going to force cashiers to upsell your credit card at every opportunity, the least you could do is also invest in an app that makes your rewards functional.

I get up on app for TJMaxx. Doesn’t recognize my password. So I reset it and on that app it resets. When I go to my account it doesn’t recognize my password. What the heck. So frustrating. Fix your app.

When I first got my card over this summer (2025) the app worked up until the first 2-3 times but after that, I haven’t been able to log in since!! It’s been month with not being able to log in and not being able to use any rewards bc they’re all in my account which I don’t have access to.
I put my login info and nothing happens when I click to sign in. It’s so frustrating!! And this is coming from someone who never reviews apps!!

Frustrating App
I received my credit card and there was an advice that states it would be easier if I use the app to make payments and do any transactions. As soon as I registered my name and created a password, I checked whether it would work. It did. However, when I provided all the information for my credit card that’s when all hell broke close. I couldn’t even login to the main app. I had to change my password a couple of times. Even if I clicked the short up in the email to get into the app, it did not work. To this time I couldn’t login.
