excellent installer useless software
Installer is excellent and very patient to debug through all connection issue. But then failure is the useless hub and weak/nonfunctioning software. Nothing work consistently in my house, and always need to prepay for luck for some shades to respond to app command. Yes, you may say the remote is always reliable and sufficient. But we are evaluating its app. If the app is not doing its job, no matter its wireless connection infestation or other matter, it’s app issue. Shame for a company with such a strong hardware motor.

Latest update messed my grouping
Each device is divided into rooms before when you open a room only the devices under that room would show. With the latest update now the device groups aren't showing properly and all devices of the house are shown for every room.
Absurd
You guys really need to hire somebody that knows what the hell they’re doing to create an app that functions properly.
Formerly, I was able to use the MY button to create my positions that I liked, but the ability to customize has been gone for months.
And now, you guys screwed up every one of the rooms that I had saved. Every single shade in every room in the house shows up in all of the rooms. If I try to create a new room to fix the situation, they still all show up. So, you’ve made the home tab completely useless.

Last update
Last update messed up all the room settings in the app. The rooms still appear with the correct number of shades noted in the upper left of the box, but all shades in the entire house appear within that room (for all rooms) when you then click on that box to operate the shades. Please fix!!
Way to basic and unhelpful
Was so looking forward to my pergola set up, with lights and fans and heaters and the ability to open and close my Louvres all from the app. Reality - app works with lights and Louvres only. This ended up costing me a lot more money to figure an integrated solution and we are back to a remote control for every little thing. You should have figured out a simple solution to connect all possible devices to the Somfy app to get rid of remotes and ease integration without having to figure out a backend way to do it.
Be smarter than your consumers
I shouldn’t have to be the one playing detective and identifying vestigial zigbee motor groups and blah blah blah. I don’t think I’ve ever paired a motor that hasn’t ended with an error message, but 80% of the time when you start it over, it was paired successfully. I’ve had to restart this tahoma, reboot it, find the zigbee addresses using a Unifi sniffer in order to TRICK your hub into functioning properly. Get your es h eye tee together.
I can’t change my scheduled scenes
I’ve been very disappointed with my TaHoma system. At some point I created and scheduled several scenes (or automations), and now I can’t find a way to edit or remove them. As a result, I’m stuck with outdated schedules that continue opening and closing blinds according to old settings.
What’s even more frustrating is that I can’t easily add additional blinds to those existing schedules or remove blinds that no longer belong in them. The system seems to make it easy to create scenes, but managing them afterward is confusing and unnecessarily difficult.
For a smart home platform, I expect flexibility and straightforward control over schedules and automations. Instead, I’m left with old scenes running in the background and no clear way to modify them. The blinds themselves work fine, but the software experience has been frustrating enough that I can’t recommend the system without reservations.

Constantly disconnects
The app randomly disconnects from Wi-Fi and you have to go through the set up process to add your Wi-Fi and password. The app also says there’s a firmware update yet when installing it just spins for hours on end. Garbage.
More trouble than not.
Very cumbersome to program and have to repeat the process every time you change the batteries. Then it only works 60% of the time.
Sucks So Bad
I only wish I had known before I chose these blinds - which are excellent. I’m locked into the app which at present, after an unwelcomed update spins in an update pending mode whenever it accessed for minutes. This is just the current issue. Not enough energy or time to share all the things that suck about it. But representative.

Of all my apps, this is the worst
Literally the worst app I have ever been forced to use. App asks to update every other week and is basically useless until you do the update. Obnoxious prompts. Slow responsiveness. No Siri integration. These devs need to be replaced with an AI

Designed by idiots
I’m reviewing based on experience with roller shades: Whatever bright mind designed this app decided the TaHoma hub should decide what network it will log into and ask you for the password. In my case, it latched onto some unknown neighbor's ssid. Obviously no idea what their password is. No way around this.
2nd reason to not bother with the hub/app: It does nothing more than replicate the remotes or control the shades based on sunrise/sunset times. Sooo, if you’re gone for days, weeks, months, and want your shades down the entire time, no dice. Doesn’t work that way. Configurable timed schedule?? Nope! Want to know the battery status of those blinds so you can avoid the dreadful climb to all 18 of our blinds to charge the “will last a year” batteries that die anywhere from 3 to a max of 6 months. Nope, no battery info.
I dream of a world where those who design tech products have to use them.

Just quit working
App is glitchy and just stopped working. No reset. No notification of update or any update.

This app is basically garbage. I have 6 blinds and it’s random when the app will actually work.
Unstable
I have had the hub replaced and the system is unstable. Every two days I have to unplug and hard boot the system so it will attach to the WiFi.
It’s like it tries to be terrible and succeeds
These guys seriously can’t QA an app. I want to access my shades as fast as possible. Not click 3 buttons to dismiss pointless messages then get a laggy interface.
Logged me out and doesn’t log back in
App is trash. Logs me out, and can never log back in. Just brings me back to log in or new setup screen. Do better
Worse app ever
I give the app 1 star and the customer service is nonexistent I have not been able to login into the app for over 10 days and this makes my very expensive shades useless. There is no way to reach a customer service agent and opening a support case goes nowhere

App is not updating status
The app suddenly stopped updating the open/close status of our blinds, showing only OPEN at all times, even when closed. Deleting and reinstalling the app did not solve the problem. The app is also not showing the correct level of charge for the blinds.
No useable guides or instructions
The products may work perfectly but it’s almost impossible to find user guides that are complete. They are either conflicting with their own information, missing diagrams, etc. Nothing is set up how I want it after scouring the internet for accurate instructions.

Want to like it…
The app is generally not responsive. It connects for a time and randomly disconnects. I’m not actually sure the tilt function has ever worked for me. It could be user error, that said I have worked in the technology field since 1998.

Review of TaHoma
Horrible app! Hardly ever works. I’ve tried calling the company that installed it many times, and they are no help. I was given the excuse that it’s not their app, so they don’t have to help, but couldn’t give me a number to call for help. I’ve tried moving the WiFi unit to no avail. The remote does work.
Hard to use, slow to connect to hub

I’m exhausted with software that forces a pop up about an update, request for review, or attempt to sell me something even though I JUST bought something. App mostly works fine. I just want to use the shades I paid for. Is that so much to ask for. Unmolested use of something I already paid for.
Set up without box impossible
I changed my WiFi SSID and without the box on my iPhone the scanning of QR code required to setup with a new WiFi name is impossible because the camera lens doesn’t auto focus for some reason and the QR code on the device is too small for the lens that the app chooses to use for scanning the QR code. I talked to tech support and apparently there’s no fix in the works for this so I paid for what is now a useless piece of plastic. I think the company is in Europe probably using overseas developers so they likely will not deliver any fixes very quickly
Can’t log in
Unable to log in for over a week. Support is non-existent.
Great blinds, terrible app interface
I wish the interface was more intuitive, easy to update, change scenes, program scenes, etc. it’s a frustrating experience to say the least. The last major update that limited the number of scenes killed our system and we have to have professional services come in to get it operational again. Please make a better app and better hub that stays connected to the system.
Pergola doesn’t respond
This app simply doesn’t work. When you press the button to open or close the pergola, it animates like it’s doing something but there’s no response. I’ve rebooted and reinstalled the app and had it work a handful of times, so we know it *can* work. It just chooses not to.

Intermittent for no good reason
Have multiple shades installed on this app around the house. Intermittently, individual shades will not do as programmed. Most days..works as programmed. Have no idea what happens on the bad days. Need to go to app, push the “open” button to get shade to move. Have updated software, contacted the tech support folks with no solution. Pretty expensive product and simple concept to be so inept. Would recommend TaHoma or Somfy or whoever is running this show hire an entry level programmer to fix this ridiculous problem. Should be simple

Somfy Switch Won’t Connect
It just won’t connect, despite running through the setup and my outdoor shade doing exactly what the instructions say - it just never connects so the app is worthless Fortunately I have a remote that works. Will avoid everything Somfy in the future.
App doesn’t work as advertised
The TaHoma app almost never works. I have 3 shades and the app rarely works for one of them. The preset settings don’t work at all and the close shade function will sometimes not work at all. I’ve never had the app actually work as described. Horrible piece of software
Terrible update
I was forced to updated to the new version, which is terribly confusing compared with the older version, which was so easy to use and program. This new version is so bad that I gave up trying to figure out. Believe me, I have engineer mindset and rarely any app puzzled me. This one did and it is so bad!!!
Can’t set limits on iOS
The previous app (TaHoma North America) allowed me to set the upper and lower limits on the shades. This new app doesn’t allow me to, like to old app did. I was forced to pay for a service call and the person set limits easily with the android app on his phone… but the iOS version wants me to scan a code I’m not able to get, or try to hit the power button 5 times, after which it still can’t “find” the shade, even though the app already KNOWS which shade. PLEASE DEVELOPER PERSON, FIX THE IOS APP SO THAT WE CAN SET THE UPPER AND LOWER LINITS ON THE SHADE.
Roller Shades
I can’t understand how to use this app please make it more user friendly. I was using the Somfy app to control my shades it ask me to update, now I have this app I can’t use. The timing to close my room shade got messed up, the old app won’t open and I can’t use this one so I am stuck with opening shades that I can’t change the timing.
