Seems scamy
I just downloaded. The app went through the sign up prompt and the app said that there are too many downloads and attempts for me to create an account at this time to try again later after they took my information conveniently. That doesn’t smell right guess I have to change my passwords.
Don’t get it
Can’t make outgoing calls at all. I keep getting a message saying there slow down outgoing calls to stop spam. These are the same numbers I’ve been calling since I’ve got this app. It might work now but will be a problem for you in the future I’ve got in contact with support they did absolutely nothing. Still can’t make outgoing calls. Rather it’s in important or not they don’t care
All my credits are gone for no reason
That's terrible. The credits I topped up two years ago are all gone, and the customer service hasn't replied or resolved my issue for a long time after I contacted them via email. Return my credits to me! 😡😡😡
Stopped Working and Zero Support

Very crazy app, and monitored. If you send more than 3 or 4 text messages, they block your access for hours saying you’re talking too much. If you try to make a new account it’s impossible, so take care of the first one

Credit deductions was already crazy.. and now I can’t even receive verification messages without paying for premium.

Criminal thieves
They automatically deduct (steal) your credits if you don’t use the app for 30 days. So you buy a package and have to use it immediately or they just steal your money. Have reported this app and will be trying to get it removed from the App Store for behavior that I believe violates US Law. Avoid these criminals, use a different app.

I made a call and it dropped after 2 minutes and I got a text that I reached my fair limit so I could not make a call.
Unrealizable and now hiding messages
I was fine with the free app being unreliable at times (couldn’t connect to calls, missed texts, etc.) but now they’re hiding texts just to get you to pay for the premium version. Makes no sense to stay on this platform when there’s so many other free messaging apps.

Customer service is horrible. They copy and paste the same message over and over. Never fixing the problem. I lost money paying for subscription for a on going problem. I wish I could give zero stars.
unreasonable fair use limit
5 weeks ago after sending about 20 text in one day I received a message telling me that I had reached my fair use limit and was asked to pay $4.99. because I needed to complete my conversation I paid for one month. Today I went to use the app again. I sent one text. I immediately received a message, informing me that I was nearing my limit after sending a total of 3 text I have hit my daily limit, of course they want more money. I have sent messages to customer service. I have not heard back.
They Keep Changing the Pay Scale
I was told to make any purchase and I will be able to receive premium messages. I did so and it was fine for a while. Only now they want $4.99 a month. So, no good if you need to get a simple verification code.

I don’t use commercial email for privacy reasons and anti advertising. This company doesn’t allow proton mail. Makes me wonder what they’re up too.
Don’t waste your
Bought this line for a work number. Worked fine for first month. Then app dead Cant send out texts. First it was just not being able to write stop to advertise text. Then can’t send out texts at all. Also no way to connect with anyone for assistance. Sent a email a day for weeks no response. I pretty sure I will not see this review. No way they are so high unless they manipulate these reviews.

Absolutely garbage I was able to text about 5 times and then it wouldn’t let me text anyone anymore. Did I tell you this app is trash n let’s not even get me on phone service that’s a whole different story for a different day or review. So to wrap this up let me say don’t waste your time with this app there are plenty more to chose from that wouldn’t be a waste of your time
Do not use this horrible app
This app totally screwed up everything, but I guess it’s my mistake using an app for a phone number. I had been using this same number for over a year and everyone has it, my doctors, friends and family and it just stopped working one day. Apparently it’s because someone using the same WiFi network also uses talkatone. So if you pull in somewhere with WiFi to use the phone, if someone else there is also using talkatone you will be banned. That is unfair and ridiculous. I regret deeply ever using this app as it has messed up so many areas of my life losing access to the phone number I was using.

Garbage money grubbing
I’ve had this app for over 10 years when I moved to a new city and didn’t want to change my area code. All of a sudden now because they’re going broke, I have to pay for talk to plus to see “premium messages”. My phone number is linked to so many different accounts that I have to now change because this app wants to get new. It doesn’t always work, but it’s been there for me for free for over a decade. But now they want you to start charging while the services haven’t gotten any better. F this app.

Not happy
I have had the same number for years. One day the app glitched and I couldn’t send nor receive text. I logged out only for them to completely delete my account without a valid reason and now I can’t sign up in any way. I can’t use any email, I can’t use Apple nor can I use Facebook. I get the run around every single time I ask for help and they give me no answers. The app is pointlessly on my phone.

I have find different problem with this app everyday. Messages are not going through while i haven't exceeded my text.

Why do I need to upgrade my account to send text messages now
Recent account disabled no support either
Been with this company for over two years and have had plus for about a year. My account suddenly was no longer available kept trying to login. It was not working. Also tried to contact support, but no one reached back out.
