Continuously scammed out of money
These offers for games suck. While for common web ones as long as you don’t spend money over half don’t work. But for game ones to be usefully you usually have to spend a little money but I keep being scammed out of it and not rewarded even if I report it. And almost every-time I’m not rewarded for a purchase one the offer gets deleted so they won’t even reward me either way even if I started the chat first and was waiting for a reply! It’s also donw this many times with normal game offers with leveling up I could finish multiple tasks and then be waiting half an hour to an hour for the reward after checking it was still valid first just for the offer to disappear all together when I get back on! It’s getting ridiculous at this point! I’ve wasted days of time and money on these offers expecting it to be cheaper than buying ink out right like I do sometimes! I would not suggest this app if your expecting offers to help you and your not ready to just spend out right on ink itself.
Delist stuff I was reading
I was reading story and stepped away for a bit. When I came back the story I was reading was delisted. After searching around, found that apparently it was finished then delisted. So unless you like reading things and not knowing the ending. I’d try somewhere else.

I’m actually shocked
I like to binge read. I have multiple subscriptions for multiple apps. Some seem like I’m ripping them off, some seem like I’m getting ripped off, but I’ve never seen this before. I started reading a rather long one with 600+ chapters. The free chapters were plenty to get me hooked but when I decided to purchase the ink to read the rest, I discovered it was going to cost me nearly $200!! I can understand this is a fairly long read (even though the chapters were short compared to others) but this is ridiculous. There doesn’t seem to be any other method to purchase either, which wouldn’t matter anyways because I shouldn’t have to hunt for ways to give you money. I guess I won’t be finishing this story or using this app again.

Webtoon patrols their comments religiously. You’re losing users over this.
The titles that Tapas contracts are usually pretty good, but they can mostly be found on other platforms that do a better job of moderating comments. It’s 2026. I shouldn’t still have to read a comments about assault on minors by users whose names reference child pornographer on a romance fantasy comic. Tapas lacks moderators to actually curate the comments they allow on this platform which results in an extremely negative, vile comments section on comics that have nothing to do with material like that. If you just want to read comics and you’re happy to pay per chapter for the pleasure, there are so many other platforms. I can’t think of a single title on Tapas you can’t find elsewhere, and every last one of them moderates comments better than this one. And since Tapas doesn’t give users a way to easily report heinous content or to silence comments altogether, it’s really open season for trolls and groomers. Average readers are powerless to deal with them and it really ruins the experience. If you just want to read, there are way better options-at better prices, too.

I keep getting charged 1.99-4.99 for the ink when I myself have not actually went in to buy it. It continues to charge my card even when though it is not linked to the app directly

Owned by kakao that protects predators and games artists and is happy about taking away pirating sites while forgetting that if purchasing of a chapter doesn’t equal to you owning it then it’s not piracy, they’re horrible to employees and artists alike don’t download this app it’s not worth a cent. And if you’re an artist who wants to post a webtoon your better off using patreon.

I paid for content only to have chapters get relocked. Then I find out this is the US arm of kakao. Screw those guys and this app. Keeping chapters out of wuf and behind a paywall when the story has been on hiatus for a year or more was annoying enough. Some stories have seriously bad translations. The interface is very retro. It’s sad because some great stories are here but I’m done supporting such a craptastic company. Even more after kakao gloated about taking down multiple websites that if not for their influence these jokers never would have become popular.
TLDR: this makes WEBTOON look amazing… I’m fed up and deleting the app. There is enough media in the world without them. I’ll keep spending my hard earned money on print, lezhin, and WEBTOON.

First time joining and it’s WORSE than webtoon. I’m here to READ COMICS, NOT PLAY 🤬 GAMES. I would rather watch ADS than to play games to get the coin stuff. Never again will I touch app.
Avid Reader
I’m an avid reader. I have an issue when I’m reading that every time I’m scrolling up it goes to the next episode without me finishing the chapter. Can you fix that? It’s really annoying. I’ve never seen that on an app before ever.

Parents Beware
This app exploits users by luring them into completing “offers” to read. The company is basically getting readers, especially naive children, do online labor for them in return for a chapter or two of a 200 chapter story. If you want to avoid this labor you’re forced to spend upward of $50 for 100 chapters of a single story. Mind you, these stories are not like novels. 100 chapters of a webtoon is may equivalent to a quarter of an actual book.

I can’t buy any ink all of a sudden, which is naturally a huge problem! There is just no way for me to get on there and buy it, so I can’t continue the stories I’m desperately wanting to continue. And I don’t know what to do when stories come out tomorrow after rollover! I hope this gets fixed ASAP, because otherwise I’d give it five stars.

Entire app is super glitchy, has a persistent network issue, and really difficult to use. Very bad experience.
Tapas is a underdeveloped app
This app has very limited search options, and no variety of translations options. All the series I wanted to try I was only able to read the first 3-4 episodes free. I don’t mind paying if I like the series, but 3-4 episodes sometimes isn’t enough. Compared to apps like WEBTOON, you can binge read 100s of episodes of some series. Also the ink is way too expensive and greedy. What makes it worse is a lot of the options to get more ink from other apps, are gambling sites. So they are opening promoting gambling to kids.

I don’t have this problem with any other app I have to read comics. My internet is perfectly fine.
Fix bug
I’ve been trying to scroll through the app but once I’m on there it literally freezes on me, it’s been going on for a while but since I can’t delete to download it again, since I don’t remember what email I’m using for it. I had ink I’m sure it may be gone now.
Decent until it runs out
The app is a decent place to read comics and use their WUF “Wait Until Free” system to not have to pay to unlock these comics but that’s where it stops. Once WUF runs out on a comic, you can’t read more until you have gained enough Ink. If you want to gain more Ink you can try opening their Fortune Cookie once every Monday but that gives a small return. You can try getting Ink by downloading scam games and malware but I’m not keen on doing that to me or my phone. So that leaves the only option of being forced to buy Ink in order to read these comics. WEBTOON at least allows people to watch an ad for episodes that are yet to be released to everyone. I think I’ll be dumping Tapas because they’re just scraping for every dime I have.

Great Content, Terrible Service
The artists and content deserve so much praise but the ink system, unless you buy direct, is an absolute scam. I spent $36 on one of their offers to cover the cost of a web comic. The offer says I got the ink, but it was never given to my account. Customer service for offerwall is just a robot and they won’t help at all. Now I am out $36 and still can’t read the comic. Be careful of doing anything other than buying ink directly from the app.

Ads on Tapas to watch up to three eps have been broken for me for a few days. I click to look at the ad. Immediately, it has "Reward Granted" in the corner, but it quickly goes away and never comes back--even when the ad is finished playing. And if it doesn't go away immediately and I click on it, nothing happens. Other times after it goes away, the video freezes. It happens on both my iPad and my iPhone. I checked the App Store to see if there was an update--there was none. I've restarted my iPad. I've deleted the app and then reinstalled it. And I still have the same problem.
And sometimes, it says that ads are available, but when I click on the "Watch AD for 1free Ep 0/3" I get a "Sorry. There are no ads available at this time." But if I close the app and try again, I'm able to click the "Watch AD," but I still can't claim the reward. Of course, the "Get" button still works and takes me to an external browser. Looked at the "Help" section for Tapas and couldn't find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It’s pretty average
To start off, I do like the stories and translations are good, although sometimes the SFX are kind of silly. But my biggest issue is my reading list just randomly disappears. Like I started a new story, I’m 8 or so chapters in, and when I come back to app I have to scroll down to “continue reading” and literally half the time what I started isn’t there, so I lose out on continuing stuff! Tbh, that is most annoying part - not sure if it’s a user issue or whatever, but I’m just sticking to reading on browser now because I keep losing my stuff on app.
Also UI is clunky and bloated. Keep “continue reading” at top, I know you have to push recs - but then at least don’t lose my stuff. Bye app.

Rape centered ads
Have reported an ad shown to me on this app more than 4 times because of its violent nonconsensual content and yet I’m still being shown this ad over and over. I attempted to contact tapas to ask them why they haven’t removed and the contact link has been disabled. This is more suspicious to me than the fact they keep showing rape ads and not removing them when they’re reported.
At least $20 to unlock a complete story.
For a complete series of 62 episodes it costs $20 to unlock it completely…I wish they’d bring back the ads, the free ink only lasts a day to a few days and usually is not enough for one episode. The stories are great but would cost a hundreds to unlock all the ones I like.
Downhill
I’ve used Tapas for a while now and here’s my experience. The weekly rewards are a scam, I’ve never gotten a gotten a coin credit over 370. Most times the coins rewards don’t apply when I complete a promotion. I’ve been charged for rereading an episode I’ve already read and paid for. Stories that are posted as duplicates the following week people are charges and no way to directly dispute. Stories I’ve liked are no longer using this platform. It’s becoming evident that I’ve paid hundreds of dollars to use a platform that provides little to no incentive and support to their artists and customers.
This is an ongoing problem
I honestly don’t know if it’s the apps fault or not but I constantly get adds that I don’t have the ability to exit out of it’s getting ridiculous

Selection is great. Options to be able to read are not.
Most if not all series allow for the first 3 chapters to be read for free. But after that it’s a paywall. Now this isn’t something I’m against, I am aware the creators and artists need to be paid for their work. However, every other manga/manhwa app that I use offer some sort of premium membership/subscription that allows for credits(ink) to be issued on a timeframe basis, whether weekly or monthly, along with a discount for chapter cost. While Tapas does offer a great selection, the limited availability of more series with more free chapters (even something simple like free up to chapter 10 on series with 100 or more chapters) and the lack of any sort of premium definitely puts a damper on using this app.
Better way to get ink needed!?!
Hi, so I don’t usually write reviews! But it needs to be said. I want a better way to get ink. Then these offers that they have. Because most of the time, you have to fill things out. Pay for your result stuff. Then you might get the ink. I have a better idea. Let users watch 5 ads a day and each ad gives the user 10 ink. That way. After all the daily ads are up. They get about a hundred ink.
Meh
They change things frequently without any notice. “Free” episodes keep decreasing, good stories keep getting dropped and the price of episodes keep increasing. The campaigns they run aren’t worth doing since you spend more then you get. Good stories are put under 1 free episodes for 72 hrs once every 24 hrs. It’s become impossible to buy bulk episodes unless they run a sale and sometimes that doesn’t even show more than one at a time. I’ll spend what ink I have then find somewhere else to read the stories.
Used to be good
Has a lot of good titles and used to have a good amount of opportunities to get free ink with reading events but had less ink rewards over time. But my main reason why I uninstalled months ago cause the app started bringing me into safari and pulling up fraudulent websites sooo I’m not gonna come back for a while..
Bug fix please
I been unable to get tapas to register any presses to the top left corner (usually where the back button is) this is the only app with the issue. I was able to confirm that my phone was registering the presses
