awful app
so i have used this app since 2020 and it wasn't awful but it still wasnt the best app, since im currently doing a rerun of chuang i've had the app for longer this time and for some reason, the app no longer plays ANY VIDEOS. i click on different episodes/series and nothing, constantly loading. this isnt the first time has happened to me but yall seriously need to fix this app pronto👎

A Headache
Great content, but the actual app really sucks. App doesn’t sync between devices at all. Apple TV doesn’t shows my watch list & reservations, only shows up the history. Anything that you watch in a different device doesn’t show up in other devices. You should fire your IT people. With so much technology, the less you can expect from this app is to sync properly between devices so you can pickup where you left off. Synchronization between devices is vital, which is why Netflix, VIKI, and iQIYI have gain more market than Tencent & YOUKU. An absolute headache and when something gives me a headache, I cancel it!

bro i just wanna watch my fave show heart signal season 8 (i love u minghao), i even bought vip membership so i could watch in hd ... but yall have GOT to fix yalls bugs and ui issues
for context, i have both the phone app and the google playstore app on my projector to watch it on like a "tv" (but its a projector), both are the tencent tv app
1. the app CONSTANTLYY logs you out like randomly after an hour so you have to log in every hour or so and sometimes not even it logs you out mid episode
2. the subtitles are written by AI (allegedly, the app said it itself) AND not even synced properly. on my phone the subtitles sync fine but on the tv/projector app its like 5 seconds early - im ABC (american born chinese) so i need subtitles to enjoy chinese media content BUT i understand enough by myself to know some of these AI subtitles translate very robotically, and doesnt really capture what the original speaker meant to say. so i fear if i had ZERO chinese knowledge, these AI generated subtitles might deliver an inaccurate idea
3. the ui on the projector app is the most wack thing ive ever had to use like why cant you have a cute little settings tab very easily accessible on the screen when i hover to go to things like subtitles and stuff but NOER you need to go through like 500 tabs that all say "episode 2" and then click right to find simple stuff like adjusting the subtitle size or changing the resolution
in conclusion can the intern get on this rq for me pls i j wanna enjoy heart signal 8 in peace 💔💔 i hope they pay you well bro

Content log outs/ told to purchase vip even when I’m already VIP
On episode 6 of the quick little 20min shows and I’ve had to log in 4 different times. Not to mention I’m constantly being bonbarded with pop ups saying i need to purchase VIP even though I literally just purchased it today. So it’s def not expired. The whole app is SCAMMY
The app doesn’t work
I bought in a span of couple of days two memberships for $16 so I can watch a video I got involved with , they stopped showing after two previews and you’re supposed to buy VIP which I did but did not work. I bought again did not work so I want to get a refund good luck to that . There’s no support no support phone numbers no support email Apple won’t refund and if you want to call them you have to call long distance because they’re in China. I bought $16 worth of air not video.

I subscribed and paid, but never got access to anything other than the free content. Customer service is a joke. What kind of company accepts payment for a service, then refuses to give the customer access to said service. I don’t know how many people have had the same experience, but as far as I’m concerned, one is too many.

I bought the annual subscription only to find out that if you want to watch certain content, you have to pay more. that is just ridiculous and a cash grab. I’ll be canceling my subscription and advise people not to purchase something where you have to pay and then pay more.

You lost my business because of your greed! I paid for a VIP subscription, but could only see a few of the series. You wanted more money by way of express to continue to see the rest, I find that distasteful and selfish! I will take my business elsewhere and not be charged extra!

Manipulative and no good faith
I strongly urge no one to subscribe to this company. You can watch their big shows on Viki or Netflix. They purposely change the dates on their shows to siphon more money out of you. Don’t subscribe if it’s for big shows. They will manipulate and take your money. I signed up for several shows and they gave all been postponed. I have unsubscribed and uninstall. Don’t be a sucker like I was. Just wanted to warn you so you won’t get swindled out of your money.

Don’t trust the talent shows run by WeTV, seriously. They have absolutely no respect for the viewers who follow these shows - they just waste everyone’s time and money on pushing the contestants they want to promote. It’s basically a scam, no honesty and no bottom line at all. I wouldn’t recommend supporting this company in any way.
App won’t open
The app has been not opening, it will show loading screen then force close. Has been doing that for a bout a week. I updated the app, deleted the app and reinstalled it, nothing has fixed the problem.
VIP rip off.. BEWARE
I purchased a yearly VIP membership which is quite expensive. After a short time I was no longer able to log in. I have literally tried everything. I have asked for help in the feedback form, no reply. I emailed WEtv directly, no reply. This is not ok and Apple should stop selling these memberships.

This app is great until you decide to cancel it. It said had two days left to watch on my subscription but when I tried to watch shows they wanted me to pay to rent it. But yet I’ve already paid. It said on the website my subscription would not be canceled for 2 more days. What a ripoff

A lot of content appears that I do not like and is considered sensitive to me, and there is no way to hide it from the screen or block these dramas in my account, which makes me uncomfortable browsing the application. Region restriction
I bought subscription just to watch a series. After watching 2 episodes the series suddenly became region restricted… excuse me!? I should’ve sub with Viki instead, never had a problem on that app. I wanted to give wetv a try since it’s a tencent series, too bad their own app is so horrible.

I initially downloaded this app for a few shows I wanted to watch and was able to watch a few eps and then shown the vip options so I thought I’d purchase it. Well, it doesn’t ever go past the little buffering circle. I cannot purchase a VIP sub so the app is basically useless to me as I can’t continue watching the shows I started so I’m debating deleting the app since I can’t quite get around the issue.

I would like to continue to subscribe to this channel but I can no longer get the subtitles on my TV. I’ve tried over and over again I click on subtitles I click on English, but nothing works. I have Apple TV device and have watched it the past with no problems till I’m contacted by them knowing that the subtitle is fixed I will no longer pay for a prescription. no response. It’s very disappointing because it is a great channel with great shows on it.

I just joined this app and was excited. I paid for VIP and I did all the troubleshooting things and still about recognize me suddenly as a VIP. Will probably be trying to get a refund and giving them no more money. Also the fact that they only offer customer service is Facebook is ridiculous. I don’t use Facebook.

I have been a VIP Member for over a year now all the sudden the app says I don’t have a membership. I have it set to auto pay, it is still paid for, but the app is not working. Bad bugs
I paid for the VIP membership. It was working fine up until the beginning of this year. Now I can’t watch any VIP programs that I already paid for, because it says it cannot verify my membership. I’ve complained several times and no fix. I won’t be renewing. I highly suggest not paying for VIP. You will only be denied access. Such a shame. It used to be an app I used often. Now I can even get it to open without reloading it.
