Before u download. the used to be Greatly, now horrible app must be downloaded with CAUTION! Brace yourself, this is a MUST READ. proceed to download if you don't mind "in yo face" ads for every tap on the user interface that you perform. I'm not even kidding. You send a text, ad! you tap back/return, ad! >>[[[you even for one second better hope your phone volume turned down, because you at church, or anywhere peace is required, and you load up the app, BOOM! Video ad on full blast!]]]<<< not to mention compromised security VOIP.. i tolerate ads. i mean i get it. $$$ but this is SU plain rude, intrusive. make sure you close the app because you best bet the background is running those ad scripts to squeeze every cent available. honestly, they're monetization of this app should be monetized. like you can't even access this app or use it services without an Internet connection like normal texting device and that's because they're charging $10. Look up Tello and use this: P355VJDR. esim or sim delivered anytime u need and only 5 a month for unlimited text. 6.29 gets you +100min. now that mobile.

So I needed a 2st number and everything was fine until it keeped spamming me to subscribe just to see messages.
Would be perfect, except....
I used this app to send a goofy video to my friends from an unknown number. Tested it out by sending to my personal phone number. The service auto-inserts a higher resolution video link and sends an additional text message after the video is sent on the user's behalf. The user should be able to turn this bloatware OFF. First, it interrupts the conversation and kills the vibe. Second, Apple is extremely likely to detect incoming links from unknown numbers as spam. Third, it's tacky to send additional text messages on behalf of the user without their input, and it should be rethought. Fourth, the links reveal what service the user is using to the recipient, which is also tacky. What if I don't want my friends knowing I am using a burner number that's with TextFree? This silly feature turned a fun prank into something not worth doing. Thankfully, I didn't pay for this service. Also, from a business perspective, why spend additional compute resources auto-opting users into a feature that hosts every video they send in the cloud? Your business is paying to host those videos, and I doubt most users want this enabled. A setting to disable this is needed. Oh yeah, one more thing... If this review leads to a product manager adding a toggle that cuts hosting costs and improves the user experience, I’ll accept payment in cash, equity, or one lifetime ad-free burner number. If this feature is added without me being contacted, I will be back....

I'm truly tired of this company CONSTANTLY sending me emails all the time telling me that my # is going to expire due to non use when I just used it!
I understand wanting to sell a monthly fee for their company -but how annoying and desperate can u get ? Also it's a joke to charge $10 a month for a # ( that works poorly and is limited in its use at best ) when I pay MINT MOBIL only $15 a month for a cellular # and 5 GB of data ...time to wake up TEXT FREE !!

Doesn’t work
Used this app before for years but now it’s become a never ending loop of trying to log in or resetting the password , which never seems to work, so it’s impossible to use or get it to work. Maybe one day it will work again, or maybe not.
Disappointed
The app is supposed to let you make unlimited calls but I can’t even dial 30 numbers an hour without being restricted and labeled as unusual activity when it says you can use for your business. How comes there’s a restriction on how many calls you place and how often if it’s unlimited! Not worth the money for business

Always bad call service - app says “Excellent” signal and nobody can hear me, it always cuts in and out, and is overall terrible, clunky, bad quality. Sick of it. Will be moving away after 8 years.

This app is not free for the only thing I wanted it for- verification codes! I hate giving out my real phone number to spammy websites. I don’t need another texting app, I wanted a VoIP number. What a disappointment. The app pretends to be free and then asks you to pay if you get a verification code.

Getting a combination code blocked
I’ve been a Customer Service beginning. I had to drop my car off to a mechanic shop and they have a lockbox they sent me the code which you guys blocked that it’s not a short code or anything like that. It’s ridiculous. You’re trying to charge me for that.

if you’re trying to use this number for tinder, know it won’t work. i even bought the subscription to get a verification code and tinder saw right through it. you don’t get a free trial as advertised, if you want to do anything you have to pay.
