I now cannot access all of the game templates I purchased. Two of them are partially hidden from view making them “unclickable” for play. Updates have made it worse
First of all to all the weirdos complaining about there being gay and transgender options and it being too woke… get a GRIP. go outside and touch grass. Now as for the game; in between the last time I’ve played and now, there’s been an update. It’s very different and not as fun. The AI is so….. boring? You rarely land on spaces that actually do anything. There used to be fun mini games but the computers never choose that option for some reason and rarely do you yourself land on it. It feels weird and soulless. As does most AI these days. It’s really hard to get children and the game is barely 10 minutes long. Very disappointing upon opening after not playing for a while. I recommend just downloading the original app. This one used to be alot of fun but the developers are obvs going in a weird direction with the game play.
ApexBroker 249
I couldn’t help but to notice that the AI players seldom pick a male/female combination when they pick the marriage option. It seems the programers are biased toward homosexual or trans couples. What a shame! I am disgusted with even video games trying to encourage wokeness and shoving perverted lifestyles at us.
Don’t buy
Horrible game. The bots cheated and it took to slow between each players.. don’t download or waste your time.
Need More Customizable Options
Ah, the 2000s - a golden era for interactive video games. One of the most iconic titles from that time was The Game of Life. The 2000s computer version of the game was ahead of its time, offering something that felt real, immersive, and surprisingly deep for a game about life’s simple choices. You could pick your character’s race, customize their appearance, and choose who you wanted to marry. The variety of life paths you could take was impressive, and the houses, the cars, the choices, they all felt like actual representations of real life. It wasn’t just about winning; it was about the experience, about making decisions that felt meaningful.
Now, fast-forward to the app version of The Game of Life and it feels like a shell of its former self. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still the basic gameplay of spinning a wheel and making choices, but where’s the depth? Where’s the variety? The modern version lacks the richness of character customization that the 2000s edition had. Back then, you could actually see your character’s individuality shine through. But now? The characters are little more than pastel-colored pegs. Pink, purple, and blue…what happened to the real diversity that made the game so much more relatable?
Also, don’t get me started on the paid content in the new version. It’s honestly just ridiculous how much stuff is locked behind paywalls. You can barely play the game without feeling like you're being pressured into purchasing extra features. The fun is sucked out of the experience when you’re constantly being asked to pay for every little thing. People want to play a game that’s fun, where they can just relax, make choices, and see how their life turns out, not feel like they’re stuck in some endless transaction cycle. It’s frustrating.
The nostalgia for the 2000s version is real. Back then, the game was fun and accessible. You didn't have to spend a ton of money just to enjoy it. The goal should be to capture that essence: a game where you get to experience life in all its colorful diversity, without having to constantly shell out cash for every little thing.
If the creators of The Game of Life want to keep it relevant, they need to focus on what made the 2000s version great. Bring back the variety. Let players see themselves in the game. Let us pick more than just a peg color. Make it feel like life - complex, diverse, and, yes, free to play. That’s the real life we want, not just a hollow, transactional experience.

Sickening
I started 27 straight games & the computer player started first every single game, how sickening is that . You have your nerve charging people for these garbage & rigged games you put out . I said it before you want to question me about it , then question the other 95% of the people who complain your games are rigged . Your games make me wanna vomit !!!!!!!
I hate this
When I play there’s sometimes always bugs that annoy me and this game is rigged or I have bad luck
The original was better
This one is trying to sell you things and too complicated (also very 2019 Woke but it’s 2025 So too little too late)
Not at all worth the money.
This is the first review I have ever left on an app because I disliked it so much. I wish I could give 0 stars. Downloaded the game hoping for a long and relaxing game of life, similar to the actual board game. For $5 I was not expecting the game to take 10 minutes total- and half of that time was taken by the pointless “next round” screen. Not only that, but having to pay an extra $5 each for different gameplay options is ridiculous. I am honestly incredibly disappointed and wish I could get a refund. Do not recommend.
Boring and unfair. Don’t waste your money
To start off, this game should not cost money for how underwhelming it is.
First, they only give you one board to play with the same like six jobs, houses, etc just alternating. This needs WAY more variety. You could be doing so much more with just that category alone. I’m already sick of seeing the same ones.
So I figured, maybe the boards you have to pay for are more fun and I’ll get some different outcomes. The map is exactly the same just different “setting” so the jobs and houses are different, but all the tiles are in the same exact places which is really pointless.
Each board should be different paths or AT LEAST mix up the tiles if you’re making me pay $5.99.
More creativity and random results are needed if you’re gonna be charging people like that.
Speaking of random results, none of this is really needed if the results aren’t actually ever in your favor. I just played my last game because I played for an entire game where every single opponent of mine was constantly landing on Actions, and they all ended up with numbers over 5 for each attribute while I’m stuck with 2, 3, and 5. Ridiculous. I began to predict what kind of tiles I’ll land on and each time it’s either landing on salary or paying taxes. But never in any game do I land on NEARLY as many “actions” as my opponents.
What is the point of making this game that is literally meant to be chance and random if you’re gonna have some level of control over my outcome? A waste of time and money. So much work needed.

Gay and transgender
I like to play original better Male and female prefer , not gay and transgender I think wrong and bad influence to children cause confusion them not on new game life 2. I have been honest to you all. I’m not judging to all.
To much
It cost to much for a game that’s not that fun and short it’s boring just waiting for your turn
WORST GAME
IT MADE MY NAME PLAYER AND I HATE IT YK WHAT I QUIT THIS GAME!
Not as good as the first
This new version is a disappointment. I was excited to download this app, thinking it would be different than the first game of life app from Hasbro. The graphics on this one are updated, but that’s about it. It’s a very short game, and that’s pretty disappointing. Usually the game of life should take longer to play, it’s just not exciting anymore.. I really thought it would be more like the PlayStation 1 version.
Cannot Change Players 2/3/4 Names
I’m not sure what happened with this version, but the game doesn’t allow you to update the names for Players 2, 3 or 4 on the pass and play. I was able to do this on the first version so it’s disappointing that they got rid of that option especially because they automatically name the computers. My nephew was pretty sad that he couldn’t name his character. I hope this gets fixed soon..
This is more cartoon than game.
Maybe kids like it, but I find the repetitive animations tedious. Just let me play the dang game! I don’t need cutesy cartoon characters driving around, I want an interesting game.
Rigged.
Single player the game is rigged to make u miss all the career upgrade tiles. The computer usually wins. Babies don’t count anymore?!? Paid $5 for nothing. I’m not paying for all the other worlds ppl. This is stupid.
Disappointed
Game will randomly kick you out of online multiplayer, don’t get too invested in a game
Great game with a few adjustments needed
I played the board game growing up and seriously enjoyed this version. The only issue I’ve experienced is some players take way too long to choose an option in the “online multiplayer” version that I’ve had to exit the game on multiple occasions. All other players end up suffering for one person’s lack of response. There are so many possible solutions to this: a time limit, forcing an option, or disqualifying the player who’s not responding. If this issue if fixed, I’ll gladly update my review! Other than that, great job developers!
Map needs to be bigger!
This game is okay but we used to play it on the Wii and the map was so much bigger and there was so much more to do! They need to add more!
READ!!! Big Cash Grab L Game
Paid 5 dollars and expected a replayable game that I can enjoy multiple times with friends. Upon paying, they allow you to play only one of the plenty maps they created, might I add that this map is shorter than the original board game (game probably lasted around 30 minutes with 4 people). If you want to play a new map, you must pay ANOTHER 5 DOLLARS PER MAP. I do like the new win features of different aspects of life and not just money, but it’s not worth the little gameplay you get when buying the game. Wish I read the fine print would love a refund.
