Great in Theory
In theory I’m sure this app is wonderful, however it takes far too long to load. If it loads the app is super glitch and ultimately not worth the hassle. I waited it out, and was even accepted, unfortunately the app still doesn’t work properly. Wish it did.

Biggest Scam Ever
Alright to begin this review cause this app is beyond awful. Start off should’ve been the red flag #1, I saw this just scrolling through social media and from when I saw in previous reviews I figure maybe this will have some value. Put in my info and then I am hit with the very first thing. Paywall for your “application” this pay wall goes from $40 of a maybe have a match all the way up to $1000 per week and even higher priced subscriptions. First of all what app that no one has heard of believes their value of a product that has no proof in working needs to value this service for $1000. I ended up purely out of curiosity to see even if this app works so I bit the bullet and did the $100 subscription (and no it was for only a week) and by golly that was probably the best way to take a Benjamin Franklin and set it on fire. Not to mention there was nearly no one on the app or any activity. They give you a daily allowance of 7-9 ish people. Then if you want more whew better open up that wallet and start giving. This app thinks it has exclusiveness but it’s purely a scam for people and I feel sorry for whoever believes in an app to give $1000 a week $5000 for 3 months and expect any actual valuable results such as matching with an individual. For your sake and anyone you may know sake. Do not get this app. Probably have better luck to just go to a bar, bookstore, gym, literary anywhere. Shoot Tinder is free even 😂

They have charged my credit card even after I canceled and sent them emails confirming cancellation. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
Expensive & Slow responses from Concierge
I don’t know what I expected, but for the money I’m very disappointed. The price is very high, the concierge took around a week and a half to two weeks to respond with most messages being just bot messages. I’ve used the app for over a month now with no success. It doesn’t seem there is any personalization to your suggestions either as I am seeing people with an over 10 year age gap consistently. I wish this app was better, but I cannot justify paying for it again.
Scam
This app is more concerned with making money by forcing you to pay to see your matches than helping you find a life partner. Better apps to use would be facebook ( free), match, hinge or bumble. The League is too expensive. Go to another app.
All they want is your money
I’ve been on this app for about 2 months now- every person on my daily batch is at least 100+ miles away. But in order to see my prospects, or those who’ve liked me- anyone within a decent, normal radius from me I have to pay over $200?! Sham!

$99/month and I can’t filter out smokers via preferences? I can’t narrow my referred age and distance ranges to what I know I want? This app gives no to low matches and is a complete (and very expensive) joke. Save your money and stick with something more mainstream. The only people I’ve matched with haven’t even logged on since then, likely out of disillusionment and despair. The faster this app fails, the better.

This app is absolutely horrible! The notification suck! The matches, even if you pay for them suck! I live in Houston and I was constantly getting matches that live in Austin. This is after I paid $99 for the “upgraded” version 110% not worth it. Do not get this app!
dont waste your time
this app BLOWS… You only get a limited number of options per day (5-10 people). All of my choices have been AWFUL. and often times its been men 12 years older than me. Then, if you want to see people who have already liked you its $60+ dollars. Also, they keep showing me like the same handful of dudes over and over. No better than the other apps. I would argue its worse.

I’ve given the League a try twice. Once paying the full cost and once just paying the minimum 3 mo fee. If you aren’t paying the full cost for access to everything on the app, it is absolutely not worth the time. They say they are exclusive, but really - they are just charging 1000x more for the exact same experience, albeit slower and with less participation. To me, this app is a failed experiment.

This app is a scam. Same people over and over. Paid the money but there is not a way to cancel. Having Apple and wells fight for refund.

This app is a non performer.
As a woman in a major metro area served by the app: with just a few days use - I’ve learned that the app uses any photo of any male in the US (and one in the UK) my geo preference (required) states that I am looking for matches in my area … instead the app sends me a batch of 5 unlikely men. Plus 3 of 5 are from several cities and hundreds of miles away. Complained twice to no avail . Bought a month and hope to get it all back and take myself to dinner 😂🥸

Not only does everything on this app cost money, the user interface is bad. There are plenty of better apps than this, including Hinge and Raya.

I’ve never had a match from this app with the free version, I guess they push you to pay to boost your profile for this reason. I see very similar feedback from many other people on the app reviews, which I wished I read before to even apply for it at this point.

It’s a Scam
I paid for the $100 level and this app is the worst. They send me “matches” in NYC when I am in PHL, they have the same people repeatedly in their search results and when you actually see someone you like, you can’t connect w them unless you want to pay more money to have them see your profile. It’s been 3 weeks and I have not connected w one person bc I refuse to pay the extra money to “power move” to have a person I like see my profile. Complete scam-do NOT recommend
Waste of money
This is by far the worst dating app. For the minimum level ($100/mo) you get next to no filtering, the automatic “matches” they recommend for you are not in your location (yes I checked my location was on for the app while using it) and there are plenty of options for my city when I search. If you want more control it’s $300/mo and full control it’s $2500/mo. This is absolutely ridiculously.
Shadow Ban
I am paid subscriber with a verified work email, yet my account was shadow banned without any notice. I only learnt abt this from a person I was about to meet before our second date, who told me I was not longer visible on their platform. When I reached the support team, instead of receiving any clarification, I was required to send a mug shot photo shot holding my ID with a specific posture. This is absurd, invasive, disrupting my personal life with unnecessary stress.

I paid for an entire month, then they kept asking me to pay more every time I wanted to send a message to someone, then they resided my profile, while I still had half a month worth of subscription.

Terrible for people who are trying to find their life partner
This is the worst dating app I have ever used. Such a waste of money. Nothing in the app is free because you cannot engage with anyone unless you pay- unless you are OK with traveling nationwide or long distance relationships. I set my location and noted distance as the most important factor. I keep getting only results for people who live many states away from me. Not cities, STATES. You basically have to pay to play and pay a little less than $1000 a month to get the search results you want. Why in the world would I spend that amount of money when I already have a low confidence in the app?
Not worth it
If you don’t pay the like expires before you ever see it. If you do pay it’s $100 minimum. The daily people they show you can’t filter, so it’ll show people way older constantly.

After you wait days to get approved, you only see five potential matches a day and you can’t filter your preferences without paying $100 a week. It’s a waste of time. Regular dating apps are a million times better than this even though they still suck. Don’t get fooled.
Don’t bother
It’s no different than all the other apps. Try’s to sell itself as “exclusive”. The quality of my matches are no different than any other dating app. It’s kinda worse because they claim to be better or different than the other dating apps, but it’s a scam. Hinge and Bumble are still better.

Don’t waste your time and momey. First, you have to get approved. Then it’s at min $99 just to have an account. From there, very few users on the app and you have to pay extra $ for the smallest thing like just filtering your searches.
Built for the Ego, not Connection
The League feels more like a marketplace for ego validation than a place for real relationships. There’s a lot of status signaling and performative interest, but very little genuine initiative or follow-through. If you're serious about partnership, the experience can feel exhausting rather than meaningful.

I wanted to like The League, but it feels more like manufactured exclusivity than anything real. The whole premise is that it’s selective and higher quality, but in practice the dating pool is small and not noticeably better than other apps.
It’s also not from lack of matches on my end. I used the app for a week, went through my daily “batch,” and almost every profile was a no. I eventually matched with a couple people, but those matches were completely unresponsive, which defeats the whole point.

App has a “waitlist” and forces your profile to a percentage to justify keeping you there even if it is compete. Try hinge instead
Terrible “Advice”
The app actively encourages users to have no standards and stop being “picky” and having “expectations” just to get more matches. Why would I want to match with more people and set aside my own requirements? That messaging made me delete the app. See ya
Broken App and Support
Joined and filled out the profile, verified, and was waiting for the application process to end. However, I kept getting notifications that my profile was incomplete, stuck at 60% or so. I literally filled in and uploaded every thing part possible, verified again, and still no change. Reached out to support only to never get an answer. But I did get repeatedly promoted to get the premium paid sub to “skip” the wait. Very bad taste in my mouth.

One Big Scam
I’ve tried several dating apps, and thought $60 for a month might be worth not having to sift through a bunch of junk. Wow… $60 gets you NOTHING! First, they tell you that you are on a waiting list, but don’t tell you how long it will take for approval. If you want to move up on the list, you have to pay more. After a day, I guess they decided I wasn’t going to pay, so they approved me. Then, you are given 3-5 options, but those options may not live in your same city! I live in San Diego which is a huge area… and I got profiles of men who lived hours away! Want to add a couple basic filters? You pay more. Want to see who “liked” you? You pay more. Of course, they front load your first options with what seems like quality profiles, then it’s downhill from there. When I chose one of the profiles, they told me there were 53 other women who chose this guy, and if I wanted him to actually see my profile and move ahead in the line, I’d have to pay more. BY FAR the scammiest dating app EVER! I cancelled within 3 days. (Note the “good” reviews are all from YEARS ago.)
