Confused
For costing 80$ across all 3 operating systems, this app should support ALL OS features. Where are dynamic island, live activity, location, and focus filter support?
You can filter widgets to show tasks with tags. Why can I slo have the whole app filter to only show me selected tags when I’m in a focus mode. Why should widgets be filter able, but the app itself not?

Mac ecosystem only GRRRR
A little did I know that purchasing this app was just a waste of my money. There’s not even a web version, and that’s prehistoric in today’s world.
This app looks nice, but it’s useless unless you buy Mac products your entire life.
No web version? That’s absurd in 2025.
★★★★ User23834847335356 9/22/2025 v3.22
Idiotic update
For some reason, when setting reminders, the developers decided to change the “done” button to a “clear” (cancel) button. So now I set a bunch of reminders that I’ll never get notifications about because my usual pattern (setting the reminder) is now the opposite (clearing the reminder). Idiotic stuff.

IPAD Magic Keyboard Interface link issue
I have engaged the Cultured Code team about an issue where the keyboard will randomly lose connection for specific buttons (return, CMD, etc). They stated that it is an apple problem but this is the only app this occurs in. If this issue is resolved. I will update to 5 stars because the app is great otherwise.
★★★★ iWeaverOS 9/16/2025 v3.22
The mighty has fallen
TLDR: find another app. I was a power user with things, but it no longer fits my needs.
I never thought I’d write this. Things has always been the best. Always the sharpest looking. Always ready for productivity. Always in Apple’s spotlight. But Things has been slowing down…
Today, iOS 26 launched. I woke up hopeful that Things would surprise us by giving us a new feature. Maybe a new UI refresh. Nope. Their update was a barebones update to stay “current”. A glass icon and a glassy like plus button. Wooo thanks!
I have bought every version of things. The visionOS release was strike one. A full price for a multi year app that just has translucent sidebars? Come on. I messaged the devs many times asking what most of us are asking and needing: attachment support, better markdown (the current setup is insanely stupid), collaboration, or even a refreshed coat of paint to not look like an older app. The responses we get? Thanks for the feedback, we aren’t doing it.
Today, I’m uninstalling things. This big update from them is a joke. To the other devs who listen and keep the magic of Apple software release day still magical, thank you. To Cultured Code, thanks for the great years ranging all the way back to Things 1. You’ve lost your touch, your magic. I hope you find it again and find joy in your work.

Immediate regret
I need REPEATED daily tasks. Pointless app if it doesn’t do that. It’s also ATROCIOUS to find out that if I want it on my laptop I have to pay another $50????? I would really like a refund. I’ll stick to notion.
★★★★ RefundMyMoneyThings3! 7/30/2025 v3.21.20
Stay away!
There is no way to refund this app, somebody described this as a frustrating experience and couldn’t find more accurate words. This app doesn’t integrate well with any enterprise grade ecosystem. It could potentially work for you if you lived in a remote island by yourself but even then you couldn’t install it and get a refund! Keep your money in your pocket and try other alternatives before dropping 60 bucks on this app (mac + iPhone)
★★★★ MMayhemMama 7/6/2025 v3.21.19
I want my money back!
You should give a preview or a free trial, because I would not have bought the app if I had been able to try it beforehand and that it wouldn’t work for me.

Incompatible with apple watch
I am no longer able to have the list feature on the front screen(the most beneficial feature) of my apple watch ultra 2
★★★★ LUSHIRA28 6/19/2025 v3.21.17
CONTINUALLY CRASHING // CANNOT EVEN OPEN TONSEE MY TO DO’S
I literally can’t even open the app because the second I do, it completely crashes.
This issue started on my iPad and now on my iPhone.
Thing is that there is NO way to access on a browser. This is not a good back up option. Especially when the app goes down.
This is devastating. I’m in the middle of so many projects and everything is in this app.
I am trying to figure out how to move everything to a more reliable app.
Really disappointing.
If you can’t be without your to-do list, I’d highly suggest a platform with a back up web browser.

ok for one time events
i paid for this app based off reddit reviews hoping for something to help me with a daily schedule, this app is not it. If you have it set to repeat daily it will add duplicate events. the widgets aren’t very good either
★★★★★ Cliffv12 2/4/2026 v3.22.6
Be ready to spend a lot and not be able to share with others
I saw all the great reviews and was super excited to buy this app and organize my life! And yes, it’s a great app to organize projects and tasks however it has some serious shortcomings, especially given the exorbitant costs.
First, you can’t share with a family member so having a shared family to do list in one app is impossible with this app. The only work around is sharing a log in, which then floods your phone with notifications for someone else’s tasks! Come on, sharing seems like a fundamental function.
Second, say you don’t care about sharing but want an app for your Mac. I mean after all your integrated into this app, why wouldn’t you?! Yeah that’s going to cost you ANOTHER $50. That is absolutely insane and a primary reason I’m abandoning this app and recommending others who are looking for a to do app look elsewhere.
Great app, lacks basic sharing functionality and is incredibly greedy.
★★★★★ Instaurator 1/17/2026 v3.22.6
Not Available on Windows
I use Apple products for almost everything except work, where I’m required to use a Windows laptop. Not being able to access Things 3 on Windows or even through a web interface is a major obstacle and dealbreaker.
I genuinely love Things 3. It’s one of the best designed task managers available. However, many professionals operate in mixed ecosystems, and the lack of any Windows or web access in 2026 is absolutely ridiculous. Even limited or read only web access would solve a large part of the problem.
As it stands, the Apple only restriction makes Things 3 impractical for anyone who needs cross platform access for work, which is disappointing.
★★★★★ vargarchitecture 1/8/2026 v3.22.6
App doesn’t automatically refresh
The app does not refresh content automatically in the background. Updates only appear when you manually open the app, which is frustrating and interrupts workflow. Background refresh is expected in modern apps-this limitation significantly reduces usability and user experience. Please implement automatic background updates so content stays current without constant manual checking.
★★★★★ Zuzzatin3 10/9/2025 v3.22.3
Just wondering
How do I use this app and for what purpose? I’m using Actions for everything as I’m paying yearly for the bundle and Apple Reminders for everything doing with managing my devices already as is. Any suggestions?
★★★★★ Thegianthobbit 9/17/2025 v3.22
Glass UI Update
Really not a fan of the new Glass UI update they made. To me, it doesn't really make any sense. Things was always an app that was distinctive in its approach to its user interface, acting like virtual paper that separated and expanded. To be honest, the user interface follows principles more similar to Google's Material Design in that fashion. They kind of just shoehorned all of this new rounded shiny UI into the app, and it breaks the magic that they had. It looks tacky.

No export functionality, you are locked in
Have been using Things for years and liked it. However, just had the worst experience trying to move away from it due to switching to an android phone. While platforms like todoist give you the option to export tasks, Things doesn’t and makes it as hard as possible to move your data out of their system. They give you a database file where half of information is missing such as projects, recurring reminders, etc. In the end I spent days getting a spreadsheet of my information and had to manually go through hundreds of records to update them.
Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend them.
