Worked great for months. Interrupts me several times an hour now asking for reviews. I’m going to feed it one star reviews until this is fixed. This is the fourth or fifth submitted one star review today. Please stop interrupting my listening experience.
Stop asking me to review
A lot of tracks, albums and artists do not populate on the search for this app. Some albums by certain artists will disappear from their page but still appear on my library. Music by artists with shared names get grouped into one landing page instead of each having their own page with their own music on it. Connectivity issues as well, on occasion I will get an error where my app completely freezes even if I am on wifi and I have to restart the app a couple of times to proceed. I do like the app, but these are some bugs and glitches i don’t enjoy
Meh
This app crashes more often than an anxious, newly-permitted teen driver. Even while not roaming, songs will stop abruptly. Sometimes they resume after thirty seconds - yeah, really kills whatever mood the music was supposed to bring - or the app will close altogether.
This app has a hard time keeping up with itself, often jumping back several songs if one pauses and looks away for too long.
Be weary transferring playlists, as there will be numerous errors.
And WORSE: more often then not, when possible, a song on one’s playlist will be sourced from a “Best of Rock 90’s,” “Now that’s What I Call Blah Blah Blah” nonsense compilation albums. Plays from these albums dilute the streaming shares away from the original artists and producers that this app touted to be among the most generous towards.
And WORST: the openly support and promote AI “artists” in their personalized daily recommendation playlists.
I would say try Qobuz, but their customer support is a joke. Idk, there’s gotta be better than this

Completely Locked Out - App and Web are Broken
I’ve been a loyal Tidal user, but as of today, the service is completely unusable. I was randomly kicked out of my account and now I’m stuck in a permanent login loop.
What’s most frustrating is that this isn't just an app glitch-I can't even log in via a web browser on my computer. I’ve tried everything: deleting and reinstalling the app, clearing cache, resetting my password, and switching networks. Nothing works. The system either gives an "unexpected error" or just refreshes the page without letting me in.
For a premium service that markets itself on high fidelity and a "pro" experience, having the entire platform break across all devices is unacceptable. If I can't even access the music I’m paying for, there’s no reason to keep the subscription. Fix your authentication servers.

Broken and lacking key features
1. Download will inexplicably stuck on one song and the only fix for it is to clear the entire queue 2. Offline play will be paused on songs that require internet for some reason. 3. Still no per song download 4. Tidal connect works 3 out 5 tries and its playback unmutes your phone 5. No private listen session 6. Wrong artist attribution
No one cares
The fact the glitches and issues of this app have never been addressed is weird. What is the point if the app hardly works?
Not to mention the desktop app which essentially a brick and tells you one song is playing while another is playing.

I wanted to do better and get away from Spotify- which I did. But damn, this app makes it hard not to go back.
No podcasts.
Shuffle play is TRASH.
And the song search is awful. If you try to search a song by title that isn't entirely mainstream, good luck. You're gonna have to go to the artist profile and dig through the discography to find the track to want to add to your playlist.
I wanted this app to be better. Hopefully it makes progress soon.
Would also be nice if it had an events section for upcoming concerts in the area or based on artists you follow.
Update: my app also refuses to play actual tracks marked E for explicit despite having the setting selected to allow it.

Worst music streaming service
Music stop randomly while playing and the app logged out by itself and I was not able to login again not even in my computer or in any browser.

Tidal must have a lot of licensing issues. There’s tons of songs and albums that will not play.

I can appreciate that this app is cheaper than most others and pays artists better, however, I can’t justify a lower price if it greatly sacrifices listening quality.

I was really confused when more storage randomly started saying it was full not long after I had check it and lo and behold, it had physically downloaded the space for every song on the playlist. I have never had anything like this happen on other music streaming platforms. So thank you, Tidal. Now I get to delete over 400 songs off of my phone one by one.

Family plan setup is a nightmare
I purchased a family plan about three months ago. I have been unable to set up my wife on her phone despite several attempts. On line user group helps have not worked. Tidal itself has no user support that I can find about the problem.
Update Broke CarPlay Resume Again
The last two updates finally had CarPlay keep the currently playing music when reentering vehicle.
This update broke it, tidal no longer keeps spot on song or currently playlist and clears it out on CarPlay load again even when loading through CarPlay initially.
This is a major annoyance issue and has me going back to the other apps.

Network issues and they still have old songs in my most listened to playlist that I have not listened to since they came out with that feature 3 years ago…do better Tidal. I wish we had more UI friendly features like Spotify. I only stick with Tidal because they pay artists the most money.
App is trash
Truly a horrible app. Always glitching. I was told a troubleshooting measure would be to uninstall and reinstall. Now all my tracks are missing. Not just downloaded tracks - ALL my tracks. They will only show back up once I’ve made a point to listen to the song again. Not to mention the way the app organizes artists is soooo broken. Yeah. I regret it.
App frustratingly glitchy
Music quality was excellent - when I could get the app to actually open and play any music. I live in an area with patchy service so I downloaded all my playlists, but it seems that the app requires the internet to even open properly? Many times it would just load and load and then tell me that it couldn’t access the network…what is the point of downloading playlists if I can’t access them offline?? Tried it out for two months and eventually canceled my subscription because it was simply so frustrating.
Glitchy
Whenever I like a song it will restart. Sometimes it’ll say it’s playing one song, but it’s actually playing another. And sometimes the songs will bug out and glitch. It’s a good price, but I hope they fix the bugs very very soon or else I will definitely try to find a new streaming platform. I do like the amount of songs that are available and the suggestions are very good.
What the point of the repeat one option
If you are just going to have the music stop playing after a few repeats????? I’ll turn the app/song off when I’m done!! This is stupid always having to find my phone open it and push play again!!!! I just want the song to play!

They need to get a handle on AI slop infiltrating band profiles now! I can’t find an easy way to flag or report. This is exactly why I dumped Spotify
Glitches completely hinder the experience
Oftentimes the app will not register the fact that I “listened” to songs and when the app refreshes I’m however many songs back in the queue. The play button will get stuck loading unless you skip the song and go back. Will just refuse to play songs unless the app is refreshed. Sometimes when opening the app the screen will freeze and I can’t add songs to my playlist or collection until I wait a couple of seconds. I mean what glitches are you guys fixing. It’s actually sickening. Missing many international songs. Only good thing about this app is sound quality and that it’s not Apple or Spotify. Other than that it’s frustrating that in 2026 the actual app itself is just so poorly optimized.
Too many bugs
While I like the audio quality, both the desktop and phone version have issues with caching what track you were previously listening to, often resetting to the start of a playlist or album after closing the app. The desktop and phone version also keep track of what is currently being listened to separately. Often, songs will stop playing or the incorrect song will play. This happens on a daily basis. As is, I will be cancelling my subscription.
