What happened?
I set up my account, added all my info including scrolling way back to put in my birthdate, came up with a secure password and when I looked at my chart, right away I knew something was wrong because my moon sign was incorrect. After A GREAT DEAL of searching, I found the issue. My birth year had been saved as 2026. I change my birth year to the correct date, it gives me an error message saying previously purchased charts will be erased and need to be re purchased. Ok. I hadn’t yet purchased anything. I say ok. I go to look at this great, highly regarded app and NOW I HAVE TO BUY MY BIRTHCHART. there was an issue with the app saving accurately. Users should not be penalized for that. I’m bummed. I was excited to try this app out and compare to co-star.
No keyboard to input text
The entire app is broken and poorly made… there is no keyboard to input any text anywhere lol

To say it was a joke would be putting it kindly. They have disregarded the feedback they received from many of us who merely wanted what we had originally paid for. Their new app is terrible. It is not nearly as user friendly nor is it as intuitive. The emails I received in reply to my feedback essentially said, “We’re sorry you’re choosing to focus on the negative. You got a free trial! We don’t care about retaining your business because you won’t be making us enough money.”
It was great while it lasted, but you don’t need subscriptions for everything. I’m going back to… books. Yep. Books. No one can take physical copies from you, alter them, etc. and that, friends, is now priceless.

I am a legacy user. I paid a flat fee in 2012 and have happily been using TimePassages as my go-to astrology app. I get that things change, but I hate software as a service. Worked for a firm that did it. Despised it. That would be one thing, but it’s been months, the year is almost over and I STILL can’t migrate my legacy charts to this new app. Also, I’m finding it interesting that whilst playing with the new app my compatibility score with someone that has been what it is for 12 years is now suddenly different on the new app. I can get behind change, but as valuable as TimePassages has been, the new version is rather a disappointment. Please get it together. Being stuck in limbo with the end of the year deadline looming is not inspiring confidence.

From user owned to subscription based gouge
I’ve used time passages for about the last 6 years because it was a nice, albeit very basic app to have on my phone when i wanted to take a quick look on the go at a chart away from my computer, where i have proper astrological software.
I happily paid the purchase price of $29.99 to have on-the-go very, very basic information on my phone. Transit reads, planet placements etc are not great, but that’s to be expected as a general overview will never replace an in person, real-live Astrology consultation with a good Astrologer.
I will not, however use or recommend this app since they are switching to subscription model. I have already sent emails about it and did the user feedback. I’m done.
The “own nothing and you’ll be happy” model may have been fashionable and a way to squeeze more money out of consumers who are unaware of how much they are spending for less and less, but it will not last. Mark my words a backlash is coming. The sooner the better.
I have zero issue with companies and individuals making lots of money and earning substantial profit, but I do take issue with the nuances of HOW that is accomplished.
There are much better apps that are not subscription based out there. I’ll be using those.

Annoyed.
I bought this app when it came out 4 years ago. I had access to everything and for as many people as I wanted to, as well as seeing all of my transits…, it was all included in my purchase. Fast forward to a year ago, they decided to change it over to a subscription, I kept my version I originally paid for but they took all of the charts (along with everyone’s birth info)off of my app. That’s fine, I was fine just looking at my own chart. Fast forward to today.. I got a notice that I had to update the app, so I did… nothing synced over so I put my info in again…okay that’s fine, BUT NOW I EITHER HAVE TO PAY MONTHLY OR PER FEATURE. When I paid for the original app it was $19.99 forever. It wasn’t per year, per chart, per nothing. I’m really tired of tech companies literally taking something away from you that you purchased, and just changing the terms. In what other market do you buy something but the company gets to take it back because they think they can make more money if you pay for it again or even 12 times over. Keep your app, I hope nobody subscribes.
Not Restoring My Purchase
I bought the unlimited charts options a few years ago and it’s no longer available??? That’s very disappointing and dishonest

If I already paid $30 for a lifetime subscription to TimePassage Pro, I shouldn’t be forced to pay each month because you decided to make a new app. I’ll be moving to a new app
Money hungry
I’ve had this app for quite some years and not once have I had to pay to make a new chart? I can do that online for free as well as chart comparisons. I wouldn’t have minded if they added ads in order to produce a revenue but this just feels like a scam. What a shame, I would’ve kept this app for as long as I had a phone but now is the day I move on. Just feels like I’ve been loyal to this app and they don’t show the same loyalty back.
Paid for lifetime subscription; now must pay monthly
I've used time passages for 8 years as well as actively promoted it to others but I will no longer. It is unacceptable to pay a one time charge for an app and then be told sorry we are moving to a monthly subscription fee structure and you must pay again. I will be getting my astrological insights from platforms with more integrity.
Decade Long Customer Already Paid
I paid years ago for all the features on this app. I have 128 birth charts in here and always used this app, it was always better and more technical and comprehensive than other apps. Now the App is money hungry making folks pay for many features and they’ve lost my loyalty and usage due to not honoring what I’ve already paid for. This is a digital hoax. Imagine having paid for a tv years ago just to have someone barge into your home take it and tell you to pay again? Just because this is digital technology does not mean it’s appropriate. I am utterly upset as this is robbery and you sneakily try to act like it’s okay. Beyond disappointed as this is scamming and yall are trying to use other language to act like that’s not what’s occurring to your loyal customers and past users. Do better. Give us our features back.
Price gouging
This company went from a solid product where you pay once to a perpetual subscription model. They keep trying to get me to upgrade, but I will not do it because I’m not interested in satiating their corporate greed.
New App, forces you to pay for sub even when you were with the app before and paid full price
I’ve been with time passages a long time (almost 10 years) and because of them switching over to make a new application and then adding a subscription fee, i feel this is betrayal. extremely schemey, and does not honor the previous agreement at all (which is a onetime fee of 29.99 for full access but then closing the app down so you can no longer use that app but now have to download this new one they requires a yearly sub) - I’m never using this again and going with astrogold from here on. If I’m going to pay for subs, I’ll just do it elsewhere with better features (Luna astrology)
truly scummy developers
i paid for the old version for life. they made a new app and now charge $60 per year, and the old app is unusable. incredibly disappointing as this was my favorite astrology app. shame on you.
Shame on them
Bought the $30 pro version which was supposed to be a LIFETIME purchase and was recently updated to include a pop-up every 2 seconds trying to get me to install this new version. I had it installed for a few days and then deleted it. It has a poorly designed and confusing interface. It's a terrible money grab now at a $60 A YEAR subscription. Not worth it. I will use the Legacy App until it's death and will then move on to a different App entirely.

Payment To See Your Own Birth Chart & Horoscope
I only just downloaded this app two days ago, but I’m not seeing it as being worth keeping. Most features are locked behind a paywall and you can’t even view your own birth chart or horoscope without paying for it first, which is ridiculous. There are many good sites available that have this information for free, so I’d recommend those instead.
Still not working right!
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled this app four times over the past month and a half. Still not correct on dates with transits! Luckily, I know how to read my chart. The fact that it says 5/4 on a moon transit that is exact this evening 5/6 is so irritating!

had access to my chart before, but not now
after the newest update, I have to pay to see basically everything I had access to before the update. A lesson for the developers, don’t take away access to something that used to be free- I will not be using this app any longer
Update made it unusable
I love this app. It’s super helpful and easy to use. After an update, it stopped working as it should, meaning that I cannot read the explanations in their entirety anymore no matter which mode my iPad is in. Customer service was great, though the issue has not been fixed. So I’ll have to get rid of this app, which stinks because I like it better than others, but it’s fairly useless if I cannot read it.
Miss the old Time Passages
I had Time Passages for years and now with the new one it is impossible to get signed in. Jumped thru every hoop they required so will delete the whole mess.
Lilith chart missing
Not all of the chart infos are here! Where are the house numbers and black moon Lilith?
Deleted all my date
I loved this app but when I opened it today, I was signed out and when I signed back in, all my data was wiped and it said I had to give all the information again. I tried signing in with my email, google, and apple and all three ways were the same, no information saved. Very disappointed as I had paid for the ability to add and compare multiple birth charts.
Update messed free features up
I used to love this app so much, but ever since the update the free features don’t work how they used to. Every time I try clicking the daily horoscope button it tells me it failed to download the horoscope. The app blames connectivity issues, but that is never the case because everything else requiring internet on my phone runs fine.
Paywall behind birth chart and daily horoscope???
I’ve been loyal to this app for years and I don’t appreciate logging on today only to see that to see my daily horoscope & birth chart I have to be a “Pro” subscriber. Absolute trash
Regressed design
The latest version is not as good as the previous, most notably the flat white iconography (in dark mode). Previously there was more color coding of the planets in the planet portion allowing for visual perception of clusters and correlations. Now the presentation is just walls of white text. Which feels more messy and disorganized, even though it was probably thought of as a cleaner simpler design.
Buttons and skeuomorphism have very real utility and visual value.
The white on purple esthetic is also not very fun or thematically immersive considering the rich history of style and design celebrating Astrology.
The app looks cheaper and like a rushed job they outsourced to someone who just ran off with the money without giving it any design language.
It’s like as drab and boring as microsoft word…
Also the social media login prompt that pops up at the start of the app is clearly in poor taste for anyone living in the 21st century.
You don’t do popups, and you don’t force yourself on peoples social media. We live in an age of consent, that nonsense doesn’t fly anymore. If I didn’t already have the app installed I would of walked away at the very start.
I like the app overall, I tapped past the new popup, even though it looked like a intrusive requirement.
