Good idea in theory
I wish that the app was actually better at telling me when deals are happening. I will get a notification and even when I log onto the app immediately I am told the deal is no longer available. I wish that you could better browse the app as well. It will only show you active deals. This is often a disappointing experience for me

No refunds if orders are missed
I placed an order for a pickup and unfortunately was stuck in traffic and was going to arrive 5 minutes late for my collection time. I called the store that I was picking up from and they were unwilling to wait for me to arrive. I asked if I would just get a refund since I wasn’t going to be receiving what I paid for and the person at the store said I would just get my money back. I realized the money was never refunded and I reached out to To Good To Go for a refund and they said they were unable to issue a refund because it wouldn’t be fair to the store. I don’t think it’s fair that I paid for something I didn’t receive. I won’t be using this app again.
Terrible App/Service
Back when Too Good To Go first came out they had good food for cheap prices, but at this point it’s just a place for bad restaurants to sell you their nastiest bits of food for like 80% of the cost they typically sell for. Terrible prices, terrible food, terrible quantity - consistently. Would not recommend this app to literally anyone unless you’ve got time and money to waste and can stomach just about anything.

Terrible program
I don’t ever leave a bad review but I tried to participate in the this app for their surprise bag offer. Arrived at the time the program suggested but nobody was present. Waited almost the entire hour window period hoping someone would come out to assist. Half way through waiting, police came & parked close to me without assisting which made my waiting awkward & that’s when I tried to call restaurant leaving messages hoping someone would come & help but got nothing. At the end of the program window period I reached out to the app to get assistance on why this program left a customer who genuinely participate wanting to help the cause just to be place in an uncomfortable situation & bushed off with “don’t worry; we’ll just refund you so this wasted hour while being stared down by a cop never existed”.
All this to say, if you don’t plan on honoring the program; please don’t announce it & get an innocent bystander involved in a weird situation.

indiana doesn’t have anywhere that does this app
tried the app even going to illinois or michigan when i order from the stores that are “open” in illinois or Michigan they’re closed/not even open due to construction but still take my money refunds are good thats why there is 1 star but if you’re from indiana don’t get this app!!
They steal your money!
Placed an order for a surprise bag and was charged for it, but when I went to the store, they didn’t have my order. I showed them my order on the app like it said to do. The shop said that they never received that order so it wasn’t prepared and they wouldn’t be able to accommodate me. I came to the app to request a refund and I was told that since it was past my pick up window. They could not give me a refund because it wouldn’t be fair to the shop who had prepared the order for me. I tried again to explain to the AI customer service that I didn’t get my order. No order was prepared for and all it did was repeat that I couldn’t get a refund for this order because it was past the pick up window and wouldn’t be fair to the shop. This app sucks, has zero customer support, and will not hesitate to take your money.
Horrible!!!!!!!!!!
Very bad experience all the stores I went to gave me the food in a very bad way and even threw the food on the counter as if I were asking for a gift, I felt horrible!!!!! I don't recommend it at all!!!!!!
Used to be good
This app used to be great. Now customer service is unhelpful ai. In the past week I had a restaurant that said it was open til 7 be closed when I got there at 6 to pick up. A restaurant just canceled my order. And recently I picked up a 5.99 order that was supposed to be 18 bucks worth of food and it was some white rice with some beef bones covered in sauce.
The Unhappy Surprise of TGTG
The typical “Too Good To Go” surprise is fun only for the App and the merchant. More times than not, it has NOT BEEN FUN. In my experience it has been the predictable result of duplicitous opacity that egregiously favors the App and the Merchant at the expense of the consumer. The striking aggressiveness of Merchants to snarl at any suggestion of disappointment in the surprise appears to confirm this is a known problem. I have all but stopped using TGTG after too many very unsatisfactory experience. I am sure I am not the only one.
Should Be Named Too Few, To Late
The app is impossible to report issues with hard to get “bags.” I tried to report a Whole Foods offering that I’ve NEVER in 2+ months been able to secure. I live in a metro area and the variety of bags is very limited. Limiting hard to get offerings to one or two per month, per user needs to instituted. A way to actually leave feedback about the app (within the app) is desperately needed.
Not many choices
Ok, I've wanted to love this app but just can't. To be fair, I haven't tried to purchase any items, but the thing is I live in a large city, in one of the most populous states and there's hardly anything available. It's usually a couple local donut joints and 1-3 other restaurants. TBH, id rather just spend the little extra for fresh and support local when im able to. But I also understand how this app could be useful if I wasn't able to do that. I wish more businesses would participate, but over the last few years it hasn't changed. Deleting again
Horrible support
Missed pickup time by only 5 minutes and store still had package ready but refused to give it to me since I could accept it in the app. No grace period and support said they couldn’t do anything. Immediately deleted.
They don’t limit the same people that take up Whole Foods and highly wanted stores
Even when you get a notification to order the food someone always takes it within seconds. I don’t think they regulate that. It’s like people use AI to take it or something. It’s not fair.

Great concept have tried it 3 separate times at 3 separate restaurants it’s always kinda goes food you’d be better going to Kroger and getting discount food that’s not expired
Atrocious Update
Newest update is horrible. Seems to be built for an iPad set up instead of a phone. Features that were commonly used are now buried. Buttons are not visible on phone so you have to guess based on past interfaces. Please beta test major updates before putting them out to the public because this is horrible
