Mobile Version Horrendous
They need a total update of the Mobile version my God it’s Terrible

My email changed and I can’t get codes anymore. Can’t even use my account because it’s still sending to a lost email. And there is no support from the bots for this issue. Can’t find where to request support fom actual people, I need to change my email on there because the one it has on there isn’t available.

Always when I’m entering a trade it lags. Whenever it’s busy it lags. What’s the point?

Annoying upgrade ads pop up in chart
Since sometime in April, 2026, every time I opened the chart, a pop up ads that blocks the entire view always ask you to consider upgrading to more premium tier membership. This is how it is now? I’m already for paying for paid tier membership but if you’re not premium enough, they would go out of their way to destroy user experience until you put down more money. Will unsubscribe.

I think all of their prices/features are shifted too far to the upper end.
I also find the amount of data (20k ~ 40k bars) to be a joke. On a 1 minute chart, a subscription with 20k bars (basically paying anything less than $800 per month) gives you less than 2 weeks to backtest. So, if you’re trying to hone in on intraday scalping using 1 minute for execution, you will have very little data to use. It seems the chart is always anchored to “today”, so you cannot display 40K bars starting or ending at a specific date/time. Meanwhile if you use ToS Desktop (free with a Schwab account) you can select dates from *months ago* and replay them on a 1 minute chart, with intra-bar price action (seemingly 2 updates per second or so). You can show more than a week of data even using a 40-tick interval.
Considering backtesting, replay, analysis etc. is TradingView’s entire value proposition, this is severely lacking.
$800+ per month is crazy expensive for 40k bars. This is also the only level offering tick intervals, but again, ToS Desktop gives it to you for free, along with realtime data, no limitations on number of charts, etc.
I’d like to see more granular feature sets that can be added and removed to create a custom experience. For me it makes no sense to limit 40k bars to the highest tier.
What if I want more bars, without ticks? What if I want ticks but don’t care about backtesting? What if I want 4+ charts per tab without ticks? What if I want 120k bars? (Why is that not even a thing?)
And so on.
Even 2 charts per tab will cost you $18+ monthly-half of what I pay for internet.
The “Plus” level pricing looks designed to be skipped over (look up “decoy effect”), as though it subsidizes all other tiers, because the feature set makes no sense: you get a couple extra worker cloud services (which you could probably create yourself for free with Cloudflare), no extra bar data, and a couple unlocked software features that are *already built into the app* whether you subscribe or not.
(Remember when BMW thought it was a good idea to charge a subscription for heated seats?)
Anyway-too many companies fall into the “perpetual fees for literally everything” rut; this is where I see TradingView. High quality user interfaces don’t excuse the behavior; high quality cars don’t either. They just expose the pretentiousness more overtly.
Anyone heard of Sierra Chart? Looks terrible, but it’s still the go-to for backtesting.
TV is a company, with multiple international offices, employees, salaries & benefits, etc. But something still feels off: most of TV could be written by a *very small* team of talented engineers, and very likely was to begin with. Remember: there was a time before TV gated various features, such as charts per tab; there was a time before they showed ads in the app, etc.
It’s clear that the subscription costs are funding a lot more than just the software and cloud services. I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel great about paying for more than what I’m getting.
If you are considering subscribing on your iOS device, be advised that they’re also passing some of Apple’s fees on to you. The subscription prices are slightly lower on their web site-but only slightly, which means the desktop subscribers may be subsidizing iOS subscribers, not the other way around.

App glitch
Firstly w the basic plan you can barely do anything then if u try to subscribe to and the free 30 day trial they take ur info and glitch the app to where it says unavailable

Bad *update* worse
I now have to delete and reinstall the app once sometimes twice a day in order to use it. If you can help it never start using this. Crashes always at very bad times. A lot of gui glitches consistently cause buy/sell buttons to not work. They also move things around every time they update which is weekly.
Decent App Got Greedy
I have been using this app just for a hand full of symbols on my watchlist now I can even change or update the tickers and it won’t let me add any more. I thought I had reached my limit for the watchlist number but then I removed one so I can replace it with a new symbol but it didn’t let me add any different one back even after I just removed in. Now I can never change my watchlist

I changed the stats from 5 to 1 because of their terrible request support now that it's done through the chat bot. No matter how much detail I type it never leads me to submit a trouble ticket.

Update: Even worse, will randomly decide you’re a professional and block access to the subscription you have paid for!!! Try to contact support - get an error, no matter how much you try.

Why complicate things?
Their mobile app is not easy to place a simple trade. I tried looking up information on YouTube and on their website to figure out how to not just place an instant trade with no stop loss or take profit but how to do a limit order or why don’t they just have if you place a trade have sliding take profit and stop loss buttons on the screen it’s ridiculous Not very user-friendly , NEW ISSUE, when placing a trade sometimes the trade wont show on screen, you wont be able to manage the trade then like 5-10 mins later your account shows a loss, trying yo get ahold of support is so hard which they do on purpose it’s disgusting I would use a different platform to trade on Inhave had a enough!
Renewal
After the latest updates to the application, it became terribly inconvenient to use tools, go back, move tools, etc. How to get back previous updates, for example, 2025? Very bad update! Well, very bad! Where before, you had to make 2 moves, now you have 5 moves, or even more.
Previously, you could simply go back, without erasing, for example, the marker, and go back so that there was no price scale. And where is that arrow now? Now you draw, then close the tool itself, and then erase everything in turn! Then you look for that marker again in the inconvenient menu and draw again! Everything takes much longer! By the time you draw with that marker, you forget what you were analyzing!
Previously, you could simply go back, without erasing, for example, the marker, and go back so that there was no price scale. And where is that arrow now? Now you draw, then close the tool itself, and then erase everything in turn! Then you look for that marker again in the inconvenient menu and draw again! Everything takes much longer! By the time you draw with that marker, you forget what you were analyzing!

App Extremely Laggy & Buggy
Today is 4/15/2026 and over the past 2-3 days this app has become extremely laggy & buggy. I hit buy/sell and nothing happens. I close out the app and reopen and I’m magically in trades. Sometimes I reopen and I’m not in trades. P&L lags behind price action. Candles stagger before populating or after the close of a candle nothing happens for a few seconds, then if by magic the new candle teleports on to the chart already forming. I have iphone. My brother has android and he now has to turn his Samsung Galaxy sideways just to drag his stop loss, when before recently he never had to do this. This next thing isn’t a bug, but in live markets they don’t give the option to show pl & SL prices dynamically on the chart like other platforms do, even though they show this in paper trading.

DO NOT PAY THEM
DO NOT PAY for this! Use the free version. They have zero support (they say it’s only for paid users, but that’s just the world’s worst AI chatbot, no access to humans at all). Frequently Major index tickers and sometimes entire charting go offline, today for example SPX and DJI charts haven’t been working for over the first hour of market open. This happens regularly, and there is no support or help, and sometimes not even a way to know that they are aware of the problem. I have pro data subscriptions, and receive no additional support, and often all other charting software and market data providers work perfectly fine. Don’t get sucked in, they are awful, and you will need a backup solution for the many days they are inevitably not working anyway!
iPad version is horrid
Web version ok, but cannot do formulas or half the things you can do in the browser version.

Browsing fatigue
I have to tap through multiple screens to reach to the detailed chart. Why even bother to show a vanilla chart when the entire point of this app is for advanced charts .
I should be just able to swipe charts left and right to move to the next chart - something like Market Smith allows to do.

Delayed charts
Paying for a premium subscription and data through my broker I still am getting delayed charts. Very unhappy with this. If I can’t resolve this I will not renew my subscription.
Malfunctions regularly and often
Graphically it is beautiful. I’m going to cancel my subscription. Reason being is it will not load my favorite indicators. If it was free. I’d keep it. But I can not utilize the features. So it is not worth paying for. I am switching to WeBull. It works.
Candles don’t move as fast as your PnL
The charting platform has so much potential, however, the candles don’t move as fast as the PnL and any real trader knows that we determine our entries and exits based on what we see on the chart. Paying for the app does not speed it up either. This can cost you a lot of money if you’re not careful.
No after hours pricing
For the amount of money this costs, you should at least be able to have 24 hour pricing.
Made it worse
Been my go too but For some reason they made it harder to navigate toolbar for editing charts, way more clicks to get to the same info and the favorites box is vertical and clogs a good portion of the chart in mobile.
Horrible interface
They really make it very hard to browse all stocks in a watchlist. Wish they just had a next button. The most important function for a trader is not implemented well. Also there is no quick fundamental view for a chart.
