Hard to use and no customer service provided after having a problem
I only used this app once in a while. Didnt like it much since they don’t have a lot of features and not that easy to use. One day I checked my bank account and saw some transactions that’s like a subscription fee. I didn’t know that I had a subscription with this app, they charged me every week $9.99 for about 2 months. I tried to reach out to customer support to see if they can help me to solve this since I didn’t know about this subscription at all. But no response.

I was happy to find this app and be able to upload documents, but it was unusable. It is a paid app with WEEKLY payments, so more expensive than most streaming services! I thought I would use it frequently but it didn’t work on my MacBook Pro. I was hoping to create landing pages on my local websites for our Spanish speaking customers, but I wasn’t able to simply write a sentence and get a translation. I am using other traditional AI models and they work fine.

When did a dictionary become a luxury item?
I understand paying for AI-powered features, advanced writing assistance, or other genuinely innovative tools. Those add value.
But charging $10 per week just to access definitions and synonyms feels excessive. These are some of the most basic language-learning functions imaginable. At this point, a physical dictionary is probably a better deal.
I’m not against subscriptions. I’m against turning fundamental reference tools into premium features. If the app wants to monetize advanced capabilities, that’s completely reasonable. But putting basic dictionary and thesaurus functions behind such an expensive paywall makes the pricing model feel disconnected from user expectations.
But charging $10 per week just to access definitions and synonyms feels excessive. These are some of the most basic language-learning functions imaginable. At this point, a physical dictionary is probably a better deal.

You think it is a free app, but if you start using it, they will charge you $10 a week. This app should be removed from the App Store.

They never notified that this was a subscription and it was 9.99 per week.

Get the “free trial” for $10, kept the app 5 minutes. Pure scam. AI is writing their ads to sucker you in

This app gives a pop up the first time you open it, saying they will charge you $5 a week if you “subscribe”, and $10 a week following the first week. The button to click out of the app to delete it is conveniently the same button that scans your fingerprint for the purchase, so it is VERY easy to immediately, accidentally subscribe. It is also very hard to unsubscribe, and cannot be done inside the app itself. Save yourself an accidental $5 purchase, and avoid this.
No access
I paid for a yearly subscription but every time I try to use the app, it try’s to get me to subscribe and yes I have tried restoring my purchase.
Love translation is broken, says no connection
I’m on wifi that works fine. Live translation is stuck saying No Connection

The new version is terrible - too complicated, inconvenient, and on top of that, many features are now paid. I deleted this program!
Never loads
Every time I try to translate it never translate and keeps try to making me by premium. I never use again and use Google Translate.

Doesn’t work well.. too slow
I wouldn’t recommend this app. It’s pretty slow compared to other apps. I wish I would have tried the free trial. I tried to cancel within a few minutes but they already charged me for the year.

This app is garbage. You have to pay to speak, which is one of the main factors and reasons for a translation app. That is not something you should have to pay for. Would not recommend.
Ads are awful
Every time I open the app the largest thing I see is an ad for Google translator or something. I can’t get rid of it. I can’t move it. It’s completely distracting. Plus there’s no way to get in touch with anyone except email.

Bait and switch
I downloaded the app because the reviews were better and took less data than Google and the advertised features looked nice.
Then I loaded the app and every single feature besides basic text to translate required a paid subscription of $10/week.

Does nothing without subscription
Don’t be fooled, this is not an app that does some things and then adds value with in-app purchases or subscriptions… This is an app that does nothing except prompt you to subscribe to do anything at all after you take the time to download and install it. Bait and switch. Better to just be up front that this is a paid app, not a free app in any way.
Live translation issue
I’m trying to test the live translation feature before buying the subscription, but I keep getting a ‘No internet connection’ error. I’ve tried it on both WiFi and mobile data, but the problem continues. Very disappointed.
