I recommend you look for a different translator app
I am one hour to trying this app and I wish I could return it. The speech recognition is awful, and the voices on text to speech are a joke. I don’t know how this has any more than one star review, especially with the English speaking voice sounding like it’s come out of the 1980s.

Doesn’t work
I couldn’t get it to work translating signs at all. I tried it the first few days and it wouldn’t work and my travel companion used their app. Of course my free trial ran out during my vacation. I never successfully used it but I got dinged the annual subscription. My fault for not canceling during my vacation. Managing apps wasn’t my priority but it would have been great if it worked.

Scam with no way to cancel
Don't fall for it. Free trial turns into a weekly $10.99 fee I can't figure out how to cancel. Does not show up in subscriptions on iPhone.
Does not work as advertised
A waste of money, save yours and just use Google Translate. The majority of time, the camera feature doesn’t work. When it does work it gives literal translations. Tried to use in the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria.

Number 1: The app won’t work because it constantly tells you that it can’t connect to the internet. Apparently you can stream music, scroll facebook, etc but this app can’t work because it “can’t connect to the internet”.
Number 2: The small print is that this app actually costs $11/week and automatically renews without your approval. Save yourself the heads and try something different.

Glitchy interface, average accuracy
For general translation, app works good. More complicated messages not so much. Newest update is very glitchy.

This app is a scam. It billed me hundreds of dollars when it was passively installed. It bills $10 every week even if unused.
Horrible translator
I used the 7 week option for my trip in Japan. It was just horrible. First of all it did not let me use it on my phone without a wifi even though I had full 4 bars with data at 40MB speed . Is this designed to only work with wifi ? Just dumb

It looks like their latest version using AI is just horrible with mostly one star ratings. All the high ratings are for their old software and not this. Just sort the reviews to see newest first and almost all are one star.

Free but when u download the app they want a monthly charge. Probably worth it but don’t false ad this product just to get someone to buy it.. shame

In the ad, they show their camera auto-translates text. In real life, you have to press a button and sometimes it works.

Feels Like a Paid Version of Google Translate
This app feels like a joke. Google Translate provides better translation quality, a smoother experience, and it’s free. From my experience, this app feels like it is just using Google Translate in the background without adding any real value. I would not recommend paying for it.
Not real time
I was looking for real time conversation translation. This is NOT. It won’t start translating till you stop listening, and in conversation mode can’t handle even a paragraph. Useless
Doesn’t work - at least in the Baltics
Took pictures of a menu and the only word it translated was coca-cola lol. Tried multiple pics of different menus and it translated none of it. Don’t waste your time and money.
App doesnt work offline
The app is so laggy, so hard to connect to the internet, and was not able to access the offline feature at all! There is also no instructions on how to use it offline. What a waste of money. Made my trip to Japan a lot more inconvenient while using it. Had to switch back to Google Translate.
Slow and unresponsive
Horrible app, waste of time and money. Doesn’t work unless you are connected to WiFi and is slow and you have to repeat over and over again.
Mischarged and broken
It said it charges $3.72 for a month, but then I was charged $45. The app works sometimes, but the camera icon is faded like 3 out of 4 times, and it doesn’t work when I click on it. It lied about how much I will be charged, and it doesn’t work properly.
Misleading Ad
The translator works well. But the ad shows a “super power” that does not seem to exist. In the FB ad the app will live-translate a sign or notice as you move the camera over it. The app does NOT do this. You have to take a picture, just as with every other translator. A waste of time for me since this feature was the only reason I downloaded the app.
Worthless
Took on vacation, half the time it didn’t work and the other half it would not translate. Spent the whole vacation with a worthless apps. Even paid for it and still didn’t work.

This was a good product before the upgrade, now it’s worthless. The camera function doesn’t open, & translation is incredibly slow. The company of course blamed me, & will not refund my balance after cancellation. Apple has a free translator that works better than this worthless app.

I tried to detect the language spoken and it actually detected some words but didn’t tell me what language was spoken

I have an iPhone 17, & I’ve been using this app for months.
The new upgrade is junk. It’s slow & unresponsive. Translations take 2-3 times longer than before. The app needs to be completely closed & reopened 3-4 times before the camera function works.

Not free
Everything is free to download but this will bombard you with an ad to buy their subscription after every click. Very misleading and not free.
False Conversation Feature
This app does not function as advertised. There isn't a conversation mode where it listens to your surroundings and translate for you in real time.
If it does have this feature, then it doesn't work.

Horrible app
This app is horrible to use. I’ve tried the maker and no response. I can’t the zoom work. Very poor customer service. they wanted me to send screenshots of what was wrong, and I tried and I’ve never heard anything from them
Does not recognize the language
It does not recognize the language automatically. You have to pick what which language to translate from and to.
Misleading title
Was looking for a live translator similar to the feature in the AirPods and this app wasn’t very good. I paid $1 for the week trial service and was disappointed.
Garbage
I was hopeful this app would be put to good use while in Switzerland. I take a picture of a menu or sign to translate to English and it just posts the same text with no translation
Weak
I just purchased it for one week to try it out, and I’ll continue to try, but my very first few efforts have been pretty abysmal. There is a lag of one or two seconds before translation, and when using speech to speech, the voice is completely artificial, and again there’s a lag. Google Translate works just as well and possibly better, based on my initial use of Translator GO, and Google translate it’s free.

It doesn’t work real time as the Facebook video suggests. You have to take a picture and want 10 to 15 seconds to get a translation. I paid for the yearly subscription and feel I was totally ripped off!!

So far I have to take a shot of the object to have it translate it does not do real time translation of what you are looks at as the ad suggests and demonstrates. I can do that just as easy using chat gbt. Good luck

I got this app because someone recommended it. I can barely use it. It’s Very slow to load, both when opening app and while using. Sitting at restaurant in Ecuador my friend pulled up google translate twice as fast at every turn! Similar phone and same TMobile carrier.

I had this on my Iphone 8 and a popup said get a “new & better” version, so I trashed the old (and totally free) app for the new $$$$ one - WTF!!! … NO WAY am I paying $36/yr to have something i have for free on my other phone!!! Lesson learned …wankers!!! 555

Not all languages are available to translate when using the mic. No Laos available for live translation. Huge bummer!! Wasted $10 bucks. The ad said .49 cents for a week trial but still charged me 9.99. FRAUDULENT

This app is a scam and has been charging me weekly $9.99 for 8 weeks without my knowledge and I haven’t even used it. All because I clicked on it. They won’t refund either. Be careful.
BEWARE!
I saw an ad on FB to try for $3 a week. I downloaded app and they charged me $35.99 for the year! I emailed them right away and they basically said they have nothing to do with it and would have to contact the App Store. I tried contacting them and had no luck! I wanted to try it on my vacation and didn’t need it for the year!
