I downloaded this app based on a recommendation from AI. I was a little surprised it asked for my name and phone number and email first thing - presumably to add ME to their database. Then, the app says “it’s $74.99.” I think this is extremely misleading. And $75 bucks for a function that should be built into iOS is excessive.
I felt this app should have been up front about the subscription cost before asking for personal information.

What the heck is this nonsense?! I won’t be surprised if they also hand out our data to all these spams because if your platform isn’t part of the solution, it is definitely part of the problem!

You do not SPECIFY that there are : In app purchases by the download icon. That is deceptive , entrapment, and fraud, according to my banking fraud department. I expect a refund ASAP. I’m also reporting this message to the FCC & FTC.

This thing can’t recognize anything. I have it set up in settings as the screener for calls and texts, but it don’t recognize anything as spam. And worse, cuz I didn’t pay the subscription fee, cuz I don’t do subscriptions, now they play video ads every time I touch something in the app. This app sucks!

MONEY GRAB
I’ve had this app for quite a few years. Seems like it used to be decent years ago but now the majority of the features they push are “premium.” Pop ups to upgrade are becoming tiresome. Knowing who looked at my profile is a “nice to have feature” but not worth paying even 2 cents for. The caller ID, filtering and spam blocking features provided by AT&T work well enough for me so I’ll be deleting this app soon.

True CALLER will not let me use my phone without giving it access to all, and I mean all of my data. Further, it is part of their “privacy policy” including Geo location, IP address, device ID, SIM card usage - why(?), in addition it monitors IP address, unique, identifier, device and hardware settings? For me, NOT ACCEPTABLE.

It blocked one call and identified two (incorrectly) then just stopped working. it’s enabled in settings for both the app and my phone but no calls are being identified or blocked. i keep reporting them to the app and nothing helps. waste of time and money.

I tried to download this and make use of the free trial heavily advertised on their website, but there is no free trial offer in the app, nor is there a way to use it supported by ads which is also advertised on the website. My only options are to sign up for an annual or a monthly subscription, with no mention of a free trial. It does say premium in the app title, but I searched multiple times and a free version of Truecaller does not appear in the App Store. This is either terrible design, where the free trial is hidden behind the subscription page, or it’s an actual scam. Either way they won’t be getting my money.

This is a dangerous scam app
You will be conned into downloading this app, the website doesn’t state you will need to spend money. Once you get to that realization, you’ll already have been manipulated into giving your own info about your own number to the database, which will then be sold and used by all the other parts of the internet. This app also does not provide real time anything for iPhone users, because privacy is not what Apple cherishes anymore, it’s only for android. This app is yet another example of apple’s predatory and dangerous information fishing apps.

NO Features are free.
Usually an app will have a free “lite” version, then the subscription you pay for that gives advanced features. There is NO “lite” version. You download the app, it sets you up with an account, aaaaaaaand you can’t use it AT ALL without a paid subscription. At that rate, just make the app cost something instead of misleading with the app being free.

I love Truecaller, but honestly-why is it that Samsung users get everything for free, while if you own an iPhone you basically pay for air? I’m already paying $4.49 every month for “premium,” but apparently that’s no longer good enough. Every single day I’m hit with spam from Truecaller telling me to upgrade again and pay $9.99.
I’m already spending around $180 a month on apps because everything is pay-pay-pay. Truecaller, please stop bombarding me with upgrade messages. It’s ridiculous. I’m supposed to have features like “Who viewed my profile,” but now that’s locked behind yet another payment tier. Enough already.

Truecaller claims to have a free app but yet when I downloaded it, it asked for $79.95 for the plan. I did not find anywhere that you could have a free plan even though they claim they have two different ones there’s only one app available on iOS and it is this premium caller ID for $79.95. bait and switch. What a waste of time.

No free features at all. Only option given aside from automatically being told to pay after all the setup and no way or using the app without paying or using the trial was to deactivate my account. So that’s what I did. Lame app, NOT FREE AT ALL.

Truecaller limited feature to look up numbers
Customer service said it’s a security issue but now they severely limit the amount of numbers you can search and get a result.
