Nothing happens in this game. It's super boring. Everything takes forever. There's only three places to go

I was so excited to find a cozy little game I could play on my phone without annoying adds or being baited into in app purchases. Sounds super simple and fun: farm carrots, decorate your house, do some fishing, interact with the townspeople. In my mind I’d be able to plant more crops, upgrade my house, just enjoy the space allotted to me. Well I can’t, not unless I buy homecoming. I was okay with that at first. Bummer, my house will remain fairly small, but whatever. Then the game rolled a homecoming exclusive item in the shop. Why? Taking up a slot for something I can’t even buy for something I don’t want to pay for. It’s like a built in add for the game I’m already playing. Immediate delete. Would not recommend to anyone else.

I don’t understand how my character got the obsidian bag it’s supposed to cost a lot I know that your character does lots of stuff while your like away but I never thought it could earn money otherwise pretty good game and all bro how is this game 18+ there’s no chats or anything of the sort like what💀

I loved it at first but after a little while they started adding weird symbolism kinda demonic in my opinion like statues of “gods” and stuff, not cool at all! Had to delete app, it hurts because I had my little tree house so cute… anyway after a while it also gets boring, you can literally do nothing than plant carrots and buy furniture, and if you reach a point where there’s no more room for furniture there’s nothing to do with the carrots so I wouldn’t recommend

i was really enjoying the game particularly decorating my treehouse but when i accidentally hit the wrong button to change my tree back to two stories i lost all my furniture!!!! and in supposed to buy it back?! you lost me.

The game is cozy and chill, I just wish there was more to do. You use carrots as cash in the game to purchase furniture / decor. The problem is you have to wait every 2 hours for your carrots to harvest so it takes forever to rack up. You can also go fishing and sell your fish for carrots but that gets boring after awhile. When you visit places in game you can’t walk around to explore, your character doesn’t move at all. If you want to upgrade your game to earn carrots faster it’s $15…. $15 IS INSANE for a game that you do practically nothing in but decorate your SMALL tree home in. I really wanted to love this game, but I feel as if the game is pointless 😭😂

I’m new to the game and was liking it however I bought the expansion pack for 14.99 and didn’t even get any furniture or extra items like it looked like I was going to get. So definitely a negative, that is a lot of money for not even getting any furniture or anything!!

I paid for homecoming after playing the regular version casually for a few years and then all of my items were taken away. Everything that wasn’t in my backpack is fully gone. That’s 2 years worth of things and I was enjoying it but now I don’t really want to play anymore

EDIT Oct 26 2025: softlock at Yori's shop when Paige says that Elfie's been a lot more friendly to her lately. Clicking doesn't dismiss the dialogue and there's no response buttons so the only way to continue is to restart the app.
I'm a nervous nut but this game is so calm and chill and it gets me to chill too. Buying from the Compendium and trying on Phone covers before buying them, have been really good features. 4 stars because there are still a few missing qol things that drive me mad every day:
1. I had to look up what the stars next to furniture in the Compendium meant. If you tap on the star there should be a little explanation saying this furniture has a Shiny version with different colors. Like how the Fertilizer and UV rays and Obsidian stuff has more info if you click on it.
2. You should be able to see the icon of collected Shiny furniture in the Compendium too, maybe using a toggle like with the Gacha display?
3. The filters in the bag are absolutely great. I don't understand why they aren't in the Compendium too. It would be so useful to see how many of the plants I've collected, or how many beds, etc.
3.5. Not a qol issue exactly for me cause I don't collect Sets, but it would be nice to be able to see everything for a particular Set (collected and not) all together, whether in the Compendium or in a different "App" on the Phone like the Gacha display. Right now you can only see Sets all together on the Event Calender while its running, which is kinda a shame cause they're cool.

I wish we could get the Compendium to not move things when you collect them, whether that's toggling off "group by collected status" or just having multiple sorting options in general. It doesn't feel very satisfying to fill out the Compendium when I can't actually see the empty space filling in. My giant block of collected items just silently getting a new thing somewhere in the middle of it just doesn't feel the same.
4.5. Also not really a qol issue since anything you collect has to go in your Bag first and it has a recent filter to fetch your purchased stuff immediately, but being able to sort the Compendium by "Order Collected" to kinda see the long-term history of your entire game that way would be a really fun feature I think.
5. That cute banner when you catch a fish should really have a "New!" somewhere on it when you catch a species of fish for the first time, or at least display the name of what you caught so I don't have to memorize all the icons lol. It would've saved me many, many trips between my "Most Recent" bag filter and the "Fish" tab of my Compendium.
6. Most of the Japanese translations for the Fish descriptions either replaced the joke with a boring description or lost the fish reference by translating the joke literally. I thought the English fish descriptions and puns were really funny, so it was a real bummer to find that the Japanese ones were mostly unfunny. Japanese has at least three ways to write out any word and a ridiculous number of homophones, there's just as many groan-worthy stupid puns as in English. I could only find one: イカがいかが？ for the roundear squid, but it's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for!!! Dumb puns is my favorite form of humor. I love the silly mood they give the game.

I paid for the $15 homecoming and never received it in game. It’s making me purchase again.
