When I finally re-installed it just to find a way to stop the charges, I discovered there is no cancellation button or subscription management option anywhere in the app settings. This feels intentionally misleading. If you are looking for a Roku remote, stick to the official Roku app and avoid this one at all costs. I am now forced to file a formal dispute with my bank to get my money back.

Before we shut our Electrics down -including the television, things were running smoothly. Now that we’re bringing everything back up, we’ve gotten around to bringing the TV back around. Only to find that we cannot figure out how to do it.

I plugged a Roku into my projector. Downloaded the app, and it made it seem real simple to connect my Roku for signing up for a 7$/week plan. I did so begrudgingly. It is not connected to my Roku device. It’s literally impossible for me to cancel what I just did on the app. I hope congress or consumer rights groups look into this. I have a busy life and don’t have time to now spend an hour figuring out how to cancel this. This is wrong and shameful for them to make it so hard to cancel something so easy to sign up for

“TV Remote for Roku” is an absolute scam and takes advantage of customers. A $6.99 subscription fee to have your phone function as a remote is insulting and utterly distasteful. Don’t download this app and save your money for something better. You can download the actual Roku App and use it for free. I’d give this 0/5 stars if I could, but then I wouldn’t be able to submit a review to warn future victims of this sham.
